Flying North [Closed]

Jacob's grip tightened like a vice upon hearing Hira's warning
"Got it" he grunted.

The Hammerhawk enters the treeline and Hira starts swerving to avoid Pine trees. This goes on for about five to ten minutes before the Hammerhawk pulls out onto a trail, Hira having pull it into a drag turn. "A minute or so until we're there."

Jacob nodded, despite the fact that Hira wouldn't be able to see. The trees shot past them in a blur as the dragon weaved in and out of them.

Lowering the output on the engine, Hira pulls up the pair of H.U.D goggles and slowly pilots the Hammerhawk into a large clearing with several homes carved into the cliff face as well as a giant chiseled stone building sitting in the middle. "I timed our arrival so that they should be in the middle of a village meeting. It will allow me to announce our presence easier."

"Ok" Jacob shoved his hands in his pockets, key indicator that he felt a little ill at ease. The wolf stared up at the citadel like building carved into the rock face "Should we leave the bags here or take them with us?"

Hira slides open the canopy and digs her bag out, slinging it over her shoulder. "Bring it. It's easier than making multiple trips."

Jacob grabbed his pelt bag and slipped the strap over his shoulder
"You ready?" he asked.

Pulling herself out of the Hammerhawk, Hira drops the pair of goggles into the seat and shuts both halves of the canopy before starting to walk towards the largest stone building. "As ready as I'll ever be. I haven't seen most of these people in a while."

Jacob followed, stalking through the snow and wind, his unzipped jacket flapping open and closed as the wind attempted to strip it from him. He didn't seem to notice. His face was stony, forced into the shape by the grim determination to not let Hira down.

Standing in front of the large building, Hira takes a grip of the forged metal handle on the heavy wooden door. She pulls it open and ushers Jacob in before moving in after him and shutting the door. In the middle of the room is a large fire with multiple dragon Faunas sitting around it. With a grin Hira waves and calls over. "Fekiikiri! Si tepoha confn spical!"

Jacob remained silent, sticking to the shadows. His wolf eyes gleaming in the light from the flames. Hira had already made some sort of introduction, and he remained close by her, whilst simultaneously trying to keep a low profile.

They all respond with a series of different kinds of greetings and the one at the head of the fire stands, his intricately carved steel armor gleaming in the fire light. "Welcome back honorable Raziel! Tell us, who is the wolf you bring to the dragon's nest?" He calls across the hall. Hira responds, bowing her head slightly. "He is friend and Rumag! One shall know him by Jacob of Reaver!" This seems to satisfy the dragon at the head of the fire and he sits once more, beckoning with his hand. "Well then, I invite both of you to sit by this fire! After all, it was made to warm and cook, not to sit and look pretty!"

Jacob stepped forwards into the light, staying close to Hira, his demeanor that of a loyal bodyguard. The heat from the flames caressed his face as they drew closer. He remained standing, waiting for Hira to sit down before he made a move.

Hira kneels near the head of the fire, sitting on her shins and setting her pack down behind her. She pats the spot next to her. "Don't need to stand all the time Jacob."

Jacob nodded and sat down beside her
"Was waiting for you" he muttered, keeping his eye trained on the nest's Alpha, seated at the head of the fire.

The alpha looks over Jacob for a moment before nodding slightly and turning to Hira. "You picked well. He is strong, not one who is likely to die. Will protect the brood well. I approve fully of this young wolf."
Hira's eyes light up when she hears this and she quickly bows her head down for a moment. "I thank you greatly, Avaskoroth. Your judgement is strong, and your will is steel."

Jacob bowed his head, mimicking Hira's action, in what he took to be a mark of respect. The words of Avaskorath weighed heavily on his mind, for the most part, though some of the parts in the middle he was unsure on.
"Thank you" he grunted.

Hira talks with the rest of the circle for a few minutes before excusing herself and standing. "C'mon Jacob. Let's go get a fire started in my old house, it's probably freezing."

Jacob climbed to his feet, having remained silent for the majority of the conversation as it unfolded around him.
"Ok" he grunted, stretching his leg out slightly to try and invoke some sort of feeling back into it.

Picking up her pack, Hira strides to the door and slowly pushes it open, ducking outside and waiting for Jacob.

Jacob followed Hira outside, stuffing his hands into his pocket, staring up at the grey sky above
"That was different" he said, smiling at Hira.

Hira grins and shoves the door shut before starting to walk towards a very heavy looking wooden door set into the cliffside. "It's like a giant family, like I said. There's likely going to be a feast tonight in honor of me coming back to visit so we won't have to cook anything."

"Sounds good. Must be nice to be able to come back here and receive such a warm welcome" Jacob smiled. He took in a deep breath of the cold air "it's strange being back." he noted.

Hira nods in agreement when she walks up to the door and starts digging through her pack. "Yeah, it is. You know with the approval that the Alpha gave you, you're practically part of the Village now." She pulls out a set of keys with a grin and unlocks the door, pulling it open once she does.

"I'm glad they took to me" Jacob admitted "means a lot to be accepted somewhere". Jacob peered into the gloom of the house.

Hira gently pushes Jacob in and steps in behind him, shutting the door. "They might not entirely have the right idea though. I kinda... lied a little. Since the village language has no word for "boyfriend" or someone I'm going out with I just straight-up called you my mate."

Jacob stopped in his tracks, ears on point, muscles tensed. He turned slowly to face Hira, unsure quite how to respond
"Well..." he said, weakly "that's not too big a deal" though his tone said otherwise.
