The Practice Arena

Zack continues spinning, staying on course towards Arthur, approaching him at an alarming rate.

Isabelle pokes Arthur.

"Watch out."

Arthur ducks below the level the hammer is being swung at with his shield above his head, and tries to sweep his foot through Zack's feet to knock him off balance.

Speeding up even more, she uses her spear to pole-vault  over Zack, standing behind Arthur, she levels her spear tip at the attacker.

The sweep of Arthur's foot does not knock Zack down completely, instead causing his axis of rotation to change from horizontal to diagonal. As he continues spinning, the hammer only looms closer to Arthur's head.

Isabelle steps aside, not wanting to get hit by any stray hammer swings.

Arthur tries stand and bash Zack's hammer away and maybe stop the wild spinning.

El Taladro crosses his arms and laughs.
Oh the energy of youth

Arthur's attempts to disrupt the spin are not completely successful. Though Zack stops spinning, it is clearly a voluntary movement. The swing of his hammer has knocked Arthur's weapon to the side, providing an opening for Zack to strike. Suddenly stopping the motion of his hammer behind his back, Zack brings it back the other way, striking towards Arthur's exposed mid section.

Noticing Arthur, and subsequently Zack's lack of guarding, she moves from behind Arthur and stabs for Zack's hand, her spear being longer than his hammer.

Zack quickly shifts the Volc-Cannus into cannon form, pulling his hand away from the attack while pulling the wire of his weapon at the same time. Ice dust covers the area behind him and sends him forward, straight towards Arthur. As he is pulled forward with his hammer, he ducks under the extended spear, barely missing it with the top of his afro.

Arthur sees the attack coming and has no choice but to brace for impact. As the hammer strikes his armoured chest, knocking him back to the round. He then starts gasping for breath as he slowly gets back to his feet. "That's gunna leave a bruise"

Realizing his mistake too late, Myren completely overextends himself as his punch flies over Syns head. He tries to get his feet back under him, but lurches to the side as Syn's gauntlet crashes into his gut.

Myren staggers back a few feet, wincing as he returns to his ready stance. "solid hit" he grunts to Syn
"Stupid mistake" he thinks to himself.

Snapping the spear into its two components, she brings the sheath and sword diagonally down at opposing angles, meeting at the bottom of the V and reverting back into a spear.

Zack, knowing Aoife closing in, packs fire dust into cannon barrel and fires straight into the ground. The result is a massive steam cloud which covers both him and Aoife, making them unable to see. The recoil from the cannon shot brings Zack into the air, pushing him above the smoke and within sight of Arthur. He tilts the head of his hammer towards Arthur and fires once again, propelling himself towards Arthur and a ball of fire into the air behind him.

Starting to spin the spear above her head, she dissapates the smoke screen and looks around before hearing the second cannon shot, she spots him and jumps up, aiming to use the spear as a bat and intercepting.

Syn stops for a moment. What the.. Did i just do that? Surprised by his staggering blow, he takes a chance for a few more. Hmmph. My turn. Syn spins around and goes for a reverse elbow.

Though Zack's momentum is slowed by Aoife's interference, he continues on his course towards Arthur. He once again pulls the wire on Volc-Cannus, regaining the speed he lost and sending another fireball arcing behind him through the air. "I won't stop until this guy's learned not to underestimate me and my friends!" Zack yells, kicking out at Aoife in an attempt to send her off to the side and remove her from the fight.

Aoife's aura glow increases, she uses the spear as a defence, splitting it as he kicks, her sheath goes flying after hitting her shoulder, nostrils flaring as she yells to Arthur, "Get up you idiot!"

Arthur clambers to his feet, draws his sword and points it at the oncoming Zack, ready to deal and kind of devastating damage to him.

"The strongest force on a battlefield is knowledge. Your opponents lack thereof can be just as powerful. If he wishes to underestimate us, let him. His opinion does not affect our strength." El Taladro remembers his mentor's lesson.

Zack realizes the deadly potential of Arthur's new stance and swings his hammer up behind him. Though almost none of his momentum has been lost, Zack pulls the wire of his cannon, launching a fireball at Arthur and slowing Zack down enough that he will fall to the ground instead of flying into Arthur's sword tip.

Arthur brings up his shield to block the cannon fire. "Didn't I tell you I didn't wish to fight? Why must you be so.. quick to enrage?" He lets his sword point fall to the ground and lowers his shield to his side.

Landing before Zack, she readies her sword to rejoin the close range fighting, using the little tome she has to take a quick breather, eyeing the length of the hammer.

having to block low was throwing Myren off. he managed to get his right arm down for the block, but it left him at the wrong angle for a counter.
"this is trickier than i thought it would be." He thought to himself. "need to find the right distance. too far and he out maneuvers me, but too close and he gets inside my reach."
Suddenly, an idea comes to him, and he smirks. "that could work" he thinks.

He throws a quick knee up at Syn, before hopping back and waiting in a defensive posture.
with his right arm leading.

Before any of them can make another move, three throwing knives dart out of the shadows and land right in front of each of the three combatants. A voice calls out from above the wall, "It's not in my nature to interfere, but at the rate you guys are going at, at least one of you is going to get injured more than you already have. With initiation right around the corner, it would be wise to stop."

"I completely agree with this guy."
