Trip Back Home (CLOSED)

"Hm~" Byron hummed, looking up at the sky. "If one is driven to a corner and has no other choice... well some things can't be helped. But the phrase goes that one evil only spawns another..."

Byron let out a soft sigh. "Sometimes a man has to do what he needs to do... And sometimes they just need someone... to remind them that they aren't killers... If you want my honest opinion Robin... an enemy is an enemy... and a friend is a friend..."

Robin, after a moment silence, shrugged, "I...guess that's fair. Sorry for the sudden question, it's just...my family always taught me to value life. So I guess seeing everybody going off like that was a little jarring."

Byron chuckled lightly but it wasn't mocking. "The thing is Robin... That's probably the reason you were chosen to lead us. Men like us have little reason at times... so a girl like you... is perfect for protecting us... from ourselves..."

Byron jerked his head towards the garage. "Want some coffee?"

Robin nodded, "That sounds good...Even though I don't drink coffee." She motioned for Byron to lead the way.

Huh, I thought I elected because it was a majority vote.. She thought, But...It's nice knowing Byron trusts me as much as he does. I just hope I can repay that trust.

"It's alright, I don;t either," Byron said, offering his hand to escort her back to ground. "Tea is much better if you ask me."

Robin took it, "Yeah, same here." She agreed and smiled, the sun behind her back illuminating her in a symphony of brilliant red and yellow.

David had finished his coffee as he walked out of the hanger. He then made his way over to his older brothers hanger. He then began to cut the locks off. Becky watched as he did this with a tilted head. "Are you getting DD?" David nodded, and Becky's expression changed to one of amazement. She had only ridden in it once, but when she did it was fun. The sounds of a blow torch echoed through the field.

The sound of a blow torch echoing across the field, Byron looked over at the garage curiously. "Care to see what our inflamed birdie is up to?" Byron asked Robin, gripping her hand firmly.

"Sure." Robin nodded, then dashed ahead and jumped off the roof. Dragging Byron with her back to earth.

Hoshi hugged and nuzzled Daisy playfully when Daisy said she wasn't feeling good and had her head in her hands, hoping to restore some life and energy to Daisy. She stopped nuzzling her when she sat up and received the telepathic message quickly responding with "My ears are fine now, thanks for asking, how you holding up anyway, we saw some really ****ed up stuff yesterday and I'm worried its affecting you" resting a hand on her thigh and nuzzling her again.

Daisy was awoken by Hoshi's nuzzling, she hadn't even realised she had fallen asleep Dammit, I'm tired she thought to herself, annoyed that she had fallen asleep. The fact that Hoshi was nuzzling her, and that she didn't want to fall asleep again kept her awake. When Daisy received Hoshi's telepathic message, she lazily sent back That's good to hear. I'm fine, the things I saw yesterday, they just... They just reminded me of what happened when I was younger, I think it's David that we should be worrying about. She then turned to the source of the sound of a blowtorch, wondering if it was David or not, assuming that it was.

Escorting Robin back to the garage hand-in-hand, Byron immediately spots David working on something with a blowtorch. "Working on something little birdie?" Byron called out to David.

David soon cut through the lock, and the chain fell to the ground with a thud. He smiled as he had made it through. "You could say that." He said as he pushed the hanger door open. Inside was darkness. He soon disappeared into the hanger. Daisy soon went running to the group. "Come here! Come here! David got out DD!" she said before running off to meet him again. David moved through the dark as he looked for a light switch. He soon found it and flipped it on. Sitting inside was a big aircraft that looked to be able to hold 10 people and had giant guns on it. "Who wants to go flying?"

A silence went through the hanger, the tension so thick you could cut it with a knife. Robin, naturally, was the first to speak out.

"David....WHERE DID YOU GET THIS THING?!" She roared in surprise, staring at the...well, you really couldn't call it a plane as so much as flying deathmachineotron.

Hoshi stopped nuzzling Daisy as her head snapped towards the sound of a blow torch, wondering what it was the only explanation being one of the others or more of the white fang goons trying to get in a different entrance and surprise them. She saw Becky running towards them yelling out to them wondering what the hell the DD was. She stood up and offered a hand to Daisy "How about we go speak to David to see how he is" she said calmly.

Daisy also heard the sound of chains falling to the floor and saw Becky running up to her, Daisy was confused when she said that David had gotten out DD, she didn't know what this "DD" was. When Hoshi held her hand out to Daisy and spoke, Daisy nodded, agreeing that they should go see if David was okay, but to also find out what DD was. She took Hoshi hand in her own and calmly walked across the airfield with her, when she reached the hanger and saw DD, Daisy was shocked, she kept her eyes trained on the airship, before swiveling them to look at David.

"Oh ho ho~" Byron chuckled. "I never knew you had a little toy like this. I call shotgun!"

David shook his head. "Not mine. My brothers own bird. See he was a bit of a gun nut." He said as he pointed to a wall filled with weaponry from many lands and places. Some looked particle, others looked exotic and hard to use. "Most of these are his, from when he travels and such. He got this beauty after he returned from an expedition in the deep north. 'Dan's Destroyer.' This thing can carve a full size nevermore into nothing." He said as he dangled the keys from his hand. "This is goanna be fun!" Becky said with an exited tone. He looked to Becky now. "Sorry squirt. This trip's only for the big kids. You get to stay in my workshop for now." He said as he walked to the plane. Becky just grumbled and pouted. "No fair!"

"Now now," Byron said comfortingly, rubbing Becky's little head with a smile on his face, "I'll stay here with you while everyone is out. We can have fun together until they return."

Becky just pouted as she crossed her arms in spite. David rolled his eyes as he opened the plane. "All aboard whose going to help kick the asses of the gang!" He said as he got in and took a seat at the front of the plane.

Daisy lead Hoshi by the band up to the plane's entrance, when she reached it she turned and waved goodbye to Byron and Becky then climbed inside, she looked around the ship and decided on sitting in the cargo hold, so she could sit with Hoshi, also it had more room for her bag. Daisy put her bag under one of the chairs in the cargo hold and sat down on the chair, leaning back and getting comfortable, not wanting to have an uncomfortable journey.

Robin stepped on the plane's loading ramp and took a look around before turning back to Byron: "Keep her safe, got it?!" She called over to him.

"Don't worry dear, I'll watch the kid while you're out," Byron called out. "Have a great time at work honey~"

"Ha ha." Robin said dully, "Just keep her away from anything...you know!" She waved goodbye to them.

Working her way up to the Cockpit, and giving Daisy a nod on the way up, she placed a hand on David's shoulder, "You feeling okay?"

David looked over at her and sighed. "I'm either scared, exited, or both. Either way they....will....pay." He said as he flipped switches between pauses. He smiled at Byron and becky before taking off.

Becky frowned as she was now stuck home. "Why does he get all the fun." She then crossed her arms, and made a face at David.
