Evening Violence [Open]

"Huh. I guess we'll see how this plays out" Argent said, returning his attention to the scene below.

As Xarias was dashing forward, the faunus girl raised her weapon, waiting for the attack to hit. He knew that she would probably be able to block the attack but he went ahead with it. As he was charging he shot one more round out of the back barrel to gain more momentum. Now just  4 feet away, he shoots one last shot and bursts forward, ready to lock blades.

Her eyes never once wavered, and at the last moment, as she swayed aside, she also turned, moving her body out of the line of his attack and letting his own momentum carry him onto the solid hilt of her blade.

"Ugh" Xarias grunted as the hilt dug into his stomach. "That smarts, should have expected that."

Xarias then turns his head and smiles at her, he lowers his weapons blade downward and loosens up. He expected her to block the attack, not dodge, but that was a mistake on his part. He wasn't used to fighting without using his semblance, he would've easily seen that coming if that were the case. Xarias then tightens his grip on the front trigger and quickly places his right foot behind hers, he then shoots the front barrel while kicking backwards.

Time to turn up the heat!

As he stepped in to hook her, Tequila span on her other heel, quickly falling to her knee and jamming her sheathed blade behind his ankle as he squeezed down on the trigger, so the shot caused him to trip backwards over it and land flat on his back.

She rolled away afterwards, not looking to see if he'd actually fallen or somehow come up on his feet, and she was up on her feet a moment later, moving more like a snake than a person.

Well isn't this a nice turn of events.

Argent grins, his chin resting on his interlocked fingers, clearly enjoying the show.

This is humiliating. I'm being dissed by a girl, well at least she's actually good. But this is going too far.

Xarias suddenly felt his fury building up, he couldn't stand the jeers and the taunts, he wanted to get back at her, get back at everyone. Suddenly he got a massive headache, he knew what was coming he had to calm down. He took deep breaths without getting up from his position.

This is bad. I can't let this continue anymore

Xarias was merely staring up at the sky now, not bothering to get up. He was never that fond of melee combat but decided to go ahead with it for the cash. He sighed and took a deep breath and slowly got up looking at all the people around him. Some were laughing, others were ranting and taunting him, he didn't really care anymore, but he wondered how much longer this will last. The announcer guy was gone and it seemed like only the watchers and gamblers were left. This might have been a scam from the beginning.

This is pointless, I've been ripped off and if I continue this any longer I might actually hurt someone.

Without a second though he started walking away, he took a white towel from his bag and threw it on the ground, a common gesture of surrender. He didn't want to waste any more energy, especially since he hasn't had much rest since his last job. He might as well bet on the faunus girl, he'd earn more that way. He emptied his magazine and started walking away from the center, not looking back at the faunus girl and not caring about the all the eyes piercing down on him.

Huh. Never guessed that'd happen.

A look of disappointment spreads across Argent's face, his grin vanishing.

"And here I thought he was something. Guess I thought wrong."

If anything, she looked... disappointed. After a moment, she span her sheathed blade up to rest on her shoulder, speaking quietly, although the words carried through the night air anyway.

"Who's next?"

At this point, Argent is riled up and eager to fight. Seeing that display didn't help sate his urge either.

"Why not?" He said, flashing a grin.

"Do we have any new comers!?"

Out of nowhere, the ringleader is once again on his perch, rapier whistling through the air.

"You've got two up here!" Argent yelled, hopping off the ledge and down to the ground.

Agni hits the ground with a metallic thunk as Argent looks to the faunus.

"Times up little lady, you've had your fun." He said, flashing a smug smirk as he cranes his neck towards his opponent "Hey big guy, show us what you've got!"

Xarias sits against a crate on the far side of the makeshift arena. He could tell that he disappointed some people, maybe even the faunus girl though he wasn't sure because he didn't see her face as he walked out. As he was sitting he heard the girl say: "Who's next?" it got him worked up even more. He then took a few deep breaths and started to calm down. He then tried closing his eyes, his fatigue taking over him. He could hear that they already found new challengers but he just didn't care anymore. He was simply a bit too tired.

I knew I should have slept right after the last job.

"Might as well take a nap" he said as he closed his eyes.

"Hold it." Tequila stepped forward to make sure no fighting was going to take place just for the moment, and looked straight at the announcer. "I won. Pay me."

As Argent dons Hima, the ringleader speaks up.

"Well, well, well. Look what he have here. A mountain and a tin man. We might get an actual show tonight boys!" He yells to the crowd.

"Hold it."

He registers that the faunus girl is talking to him, though he doesn't seem too interested now that her fight's over.

"Sorry lady, but you didn't win. That guy" He said jerking a thumb to the sleeping guy in the distance "Gave up. If you want any cash, you gotta take it from him."

Not giving her any chance to complain, he turns back to the audience.

"Well fellas, feel free to start."

"Hmph." she stalked out of the way, towards Xarias, and sat herself on the crate he was leaned against, resting her sword flat across her lap. "Me cago en vos. Thanks to you wimping out I don't get paid." she complained to him, sour.

Looks like he's waiting for me. Better not repeat goggles' mistake.

Running past the faunus, giving her a quick grin as she walks out of the ring, he skirts around Lugh's range, and jumps onto the side of a nearby crate. A jet of hot air fires from Agni and propels Argent through the air, a flying hay maker aimed straight for the side of Lugh's head.

As Argent's punch misses, his field of view gets covered by dust, his chest pelted with pebbles.

Bullets?

"Like fighting dirty, eh?" Argent yelled at his opponent, content with the challenge. "Well technically, these aren't guns!"

In quick succession he fires several blasts of scorching hot air directly at Lugh with a display of spinning kicks before running off to the side once more.

After Lugh's volley of bullets, the audience had mostly retreated to a much safer, and farther distance, giving the two fighters all the room they needed. There's enough space for Argent to keep barraging Lugh with more blasts as he darts around him, looking for an opening.

Having entered halfway through the last fight, she would of stood by the entrance, Milisendis having Imperia's tail wrapped around her waist while Omega 46 stood to the side holding a large briefcase, its Javelins removed and the hand blades inside the arms. Hearing the fox girl get cheated out of her money, she would move over to her with Android and Cyborg in tow, taking a large wad of lien out of her pocket, looking around double what she would of won, "Here, you deserve it despite the other one surrendering. Humans should learn to watch their tongue." Watching the pair fight but not moving back, she would turn to Milisendis, "If one comes near us, warn of it incoming, and if necessary, we will intervene."

More dust. Perfect. Argent thought as he sprinted towards the cloud of dust, some of it getting into his eyes but nonetheless heading for it.

Waiting till he was out of Lugh's sight, Argent leaped onto his hands and produced pillars of ice, flat tipped of course, racing towards Lugh; one of them pushing against his hands and launching him into the air above Lugh, sending more blasts of searing hot air.

Meanwhile, while Imperia was handing Tequila her Lien, Silenus was listening from behind a crate; a cunning spark in his eye, and an unnerving smile on his lips.

Great. It hit! Now to keep up the heat!

"That all you got, big guy?" Argent yelled as he loosed another volley at Lugh before landing a few feet beside him.

There!

"You're in for it now!"

Spotting Lugh's loose armor, Argent wastes no time running at it, his arm coiled like a spring and ready to strike. However, when he's almost within range, the ground cracks from Lugh's earlier bullets.

Argent stumbles quite ungracefully and ends up on his back, three feet beside Lugh.

"Uh oh."
