New Town! Exploration! [OPEN]

Now that was a surprise. Her command over that thing was impressive. If it wasn't already obvious, just watching her wield the behemoth and the other two move the way they did; Ba'al's speed and the giant's jumping evidenced just how far outside the realm of 'human' Hunters were. As she went up and over, Ba'al completed his maneuver, shifting and sliding around to face both opponents who were, in fact, some varying distance away from him in an irregular triangle. Though he couldn't see either of them completely clearly, the blast from the revolver had erupted on the ground and scattered debris from the ground everywhere.

Balthazar stepped back into a defensive stance as the black-haired girl righted herself, his slightly bloodied sword held parallel to the ground at his right side. From the right, he could hear the lumbering steps of the other wolf charging directly at him as the woman wheeled her blade around again. As the wolfman emerged from the smoke cloud, Ba'al ducked short beneath the whipping strike from that left gun, the butt passing through his hair as he did. At the same time, the man belonging to that red hair lashed his arm up and out, a motion that would pass the top third of his blade through that striking arm of the wolf, quite possibly cutting it clean off.

With a quick step to his right, he emerged from his lesser-duck and hopped laterally, moving to the taller combatant's left side even as the shorter's gigas of a sword crashed down to where Ba'al had been moments ago. In this position, not only was he safe from the possibility of that subsequent kick, he had put the melee adversary on the opposite side of the clearly ranged-heavy adversary. Optimal positioning.

With a smirk, Ba'al's right arm would go to work once more, lashing with vicious intent for those left side ribs of the tall-wolf. Some eight inches of gilded blade would carve through his lower chest-- probably brutalizing a lung-- if he didn't move. And quick.

Balthazar Raghnall Kael played no games. Especially not in a place like this where a deathblow would be warded, and even life threatening injuries could be healed quickly by the spells and technology in place. The only danger here was pain. Which removed part of the fun, really....

Ba'al just barely managed to stay ahead of the rapid blasts dealt by both revolvers, two of them grazing his side with painful heat as he continued his lateral hops around the wolf, moving much further than he'd intended. As the big bad pooch finally stopped firing and backed away hurriedly, Ba'al noted their firing speed; it seemed that their individual speed might be rather limited versus a standard firearm. That, however, didn't stop two of them from being a much more serious threat.

Then, of course, there was the girl. Ba'al's brow creased as he stood in a slight crouch, ready to jump aside of more of those damned blasts as his fierce eyes scanned over the woman and what she was doing. Her monster of a sword was thrust into the ground and she was scraping plates of armor against it. Sparks... for wha--... Oh. 'So, breakin' out tha magic, eh? I guess it's time to get serious....' While he was making serious and violent attacks and, in that sense, not playing games, Balthazar had been holding back on these two. A lot. He had a whole plethora of plateau's he could step on up to. For now, he'd respond simply in kind.... Magic for magic. He could have brought forth the dust, but to counter that would require he unveil TWO abilities he had as yet not employed.

Kicking back hard, Ba'al sailed back low through the air. Giving himself several yards of space as the tremendous fireball formed and obscured his opponents, a strange golden glow began to vaguely suffuse the red-head's form. A glow that was decidedly not coming from the burning boomdoom.

As the fireball was launched, Ba'al, in his crouch, practically vanished. His own semblance crafted a demon out of the speedster as his already advanced mobility was amplified only that much more. With ferocious footfalls, he blitzed out and around to the right with the kind of sight-defying speed that would make it half way to impossible to see him move out from behind the girl's flames. Low to the ground, he would have circled around behind the she-wolf by the time it became obvious that that flame wasn't going to be hitting anything.

Making no such arrogant, rookie mistake as to alert the pair to his presence, Ba'al's blade, also vaguely glowing with the visual manifestation of his like-colored aura, would be flashed upward at a diagonal from the lower left. It looked to slash through the lower part of the woman's back. Over a foot deep, however, an uninterrupted swing would bisect her spine, leaving her lower body useless until she had the chance to be taken to a healer.

His eyes widened slightly even as his brow creased and lowered. Her reaction altogether aside, he never anticipated that these magics could render fire solid. Wasting no time on his own bewilderment, however, the gold glowing man wrenched his blade back into the opening his blade had carved through the shield of flame before it sealed back up and whipped the weapon from the barrier. His eyes flicking to the only remaining viable target, Ba'al's joints creaked in protest as he wheeled around at monstrous speeds. His body would hold up for now, but he couldn't maintain this forever. He needed to end this. Or at least get rid of one of his opponents so he could slow down.

It was readily apparent that the other adversary was preparing something. The speed demon, however, wasn't about to sit there and see what it was. By the time the giant wolf's own skill had manifest its hot air, Balthazar was already gone from his seat near the inferno. As the wind blew, the amateur Hunter barely noticed the change as he circled around yet further in a counter-clockwise direction. He was already outside of the path of the wind.

Employing the same tactic as before on a new target, Ba'al would halt his mad dash once behind the wolf-fan, his sword already lashing outward from his left hip to lash through the back of the wolf man's left thigh. However, the bladed attacker would not stop there. Hit or miss, his arm would lash with the same golden speed as the rest of his body as his blade spun around his right side before being lashed up at steep diagonal from the lower right, looking to cut deep through the lengthy back of the taller opponent. Finally, the sword would whip around once again, this time down and left as the natural path of motion of Ba'al's arm made the final slash a low angled diagonal cut from the lower left to cross the back and spine similar to the one he had aimed at the girl.

Each slash, on its own, was designed to end the fight for the one combatant outright. Half of the three and a half foot long blade was aimed to gore through the wolf's body in each attack with little to no time to react to any of them. This was Ba'al's domain: crushing, unrelenting speed. Even if he-- the gunner wolf-- had the time to operate, he had little room to do so. He was between a sword and a hot place.

Their ability to stay ahead of his blade just well enough to avoid critical injury was quite astounding. Especially now that Ba'al was moving so much faster than before. While he managed to get in a few hits, they weren't enough. The red head needed to put this dog down. Problem was, didn't want to reveal too much of his capability doing it. The ulterior abilities of his weapon was something he seldom revealed to any- -one or -thing that would potentially live to tell the tale. These two, in this situation, were decidedly going to live to see tomorrow, regardless of how long they'd have to sit in a healer's bed after this. And so, he was reluctant to deploy Sicarius as anything more than a simple shining blade.

As for the lights, the arena was a big place. While the wolf succeeded in taking out a number of them, there were still plenty of others spread around the place, and the monster of mobility could still see. Balthazar could also see the merit in this plan, however, as the local light level was quite visibly reduced. He knew the capabilities of the faunus well enough to understand what it was he the wolf was trying to do. Ba'al would simply have to see to it that he didn't succeed before being taken out of the fight for good.

When Sicarius struck revolver for the second time in the lightning exchange, it continued through with the slash, whipping out and back around to its wielder's side before the bestial man's other hand could close in on the sword. In simplest terms, the wolf wasn't fast enough to trap Balthazar's sword like that. Without a dedicated device for trapping such as a sai or recessed bayonette, it would be impossible to lock up such a swift weapon.

At the same time as his right arm pulled back, Ba'al's as yet unutilized left hand flew up toward the guns that were, in that instant, being aimed at him. As the air around them bizarrely kicked up a pressing whirlwind, blowing hair and clothing about like mad, that gold-glowing gloved left hand would both grip the for wolf's right revolver by the cylinder looking to prevent it from engaging action and push the weapon-- and, subsequently, the left revolver as well-- off to the target's right. While Ba'al's strength was average for a Hunter, the sudden latteral movement was something that even the most trained would be hard pressed to resist.

Even if the guns didn't move far, Ba'al's torso would lean left against one side of the mysterious pressing wind-- was that coming from the giant...?-- putting Ba'al off the line of fire while he countered. Right arm whipping back as the aforementioned lean would be occuring, Sicarius blasted in with its razor tip at the absolute utmost of Balthazar's speed. The sword was aimed for the wolf's stomach, and looked to pierce clear through his abdomen.
