An Early-Afternoon Stroll [Closed?]

((Takes place sometime between Pirate Hunter Recruitment and official start of Pirate Hunter Organization.))

The sky is crystal clear; there isn't a cloud in sight. The sun has just started its seemingly slow descent back down towards the horizon. The autumn air, aided by a gentle breeze, is incredibly refreshing to any of those who come into contact with it.

Besides the sound of rustling leaves, the forest is quiet and still save for a bird or two that decide to make their presence known for only a split second before disappearing again.

Despite a rather uncontested sun, the area beneath the tree line was engulfed in shadow with the occasion ray of light here and there.

Aurelia was wearing her casual uniform. She didn't really have a need to wear any of the others on what she felt was a day off from her usual business."It's always nice walking around this place. The air is fresh, it's never too bright, it's quiet, and you sometimes even run into a Grimm that has wandered too far than they should have." Aurelia looked up towards the tree tops, the occasional light ray passing over her eye, but she does not seem phased by it.

Nearby, Connla would have just finished tapping the trees and filling the jars, a large crate of them being dragged along by his chains. Spotting his female friend, he yells out to her, " Well miss, fancy sewing you in these abandoned part. "

"Oh hey, Connla. Right back at ya! She waved to him while she also eyed the large crate that he seemed to have been dragging. "So what has brought you out here? Whatever is in that crate, I assume?"

"Some red sap. This man is buying it by the crate load and I could use the spare money. When you have an unstable idiot for a sister, you don't have money for long." Laughing afterwards, he would move a few steps back and roll the handle and a small amount of chain around his wrist, twisting to click his back loudly afterwards.

"An unstable idiot sister? She chuckled while placing her hands on her hip in the way a person would when they were about to lecture someone. "Come on now, she can't be that bad." ((Ha)) She moved her eyes from Connla to the crate. "Do you want some help with that?"

Looking at her strike a pose, he couldn't help but smile,"Trust me, she is worse than that at times. And I will be fine with moving the crate by myself, wouldn't want to burden you."

"There's no way she could be that bad. Be nice to your sister!" She brought a hand forward and pointed a finger at Connla. She tilted her head to think for just a moment. "Well, to be fair, I don't have any siblings, as far as I know, so I guess I can't lecture you on it. Maybe you could introduce me to your sister!" Her pointing hand changed into a thumbs up, her eyes sparkling in the process.

Laughing to the point of nearly falling down, he would wipe his eyes for any formed tears, "I am sure I could introduce you, but I am pretty sure that she may try to fight you. For example, she apparently broke someone's leg for starting a fight with her. Then she has her crazy fast speed what trumps mine by quite a margin, what I don't find exactly fun."

She put the finger that had been out on her chin. "Sounds like a typical response to having someone start a fight with you, and I'd rather have a broken leg than what happened to some guys at the Cottage a while back." Grinning, she pulled out from the inside of her jacket something that seemed to be a metal baton. "If she wants to fight, I can totally take 'er! Though her speed may or may not be too much for me as well. I'd rather not fight her at all, of course!" She started swinging the baton around as if she were fighting imaginary people.

Nodding as he watches her play around, he briefly eyes Holy as it stays by his side, "I am sure you could. Also the club? She may of been involved in that, as when she entered the pub, her and some friends were boasting at who had the most damage done. "

After minute of play fighting, she tucked the baton back inside her jacket. "She was involved in the club incident?" She sighed and put a hand on her cheek. "Well, I guess I'll take your word on your sister, then."

"Seems destructive tendencies runs in the family, well everyone except me. So what brings you here, as you know my reason" is followed with a grunt, walking to her side with the crate being dragged passively.

"So it seems." She placed her hands behind her back. "Nothing in particular has brought me here. I'm just taking a break from my usual business today. Plus, it won't be long before things get really busy." She was, of course, referring to her pirate hunter work that would be starting soon.

Continuing to watch her movements rather passively, he offers his spare hand as if to escort her,   "I see. Well good luck in your business. Want to take a walk together or something?"

"Thank you, and sure." She graciously accepted his offer. "Quite the gentleman, you are. Are you getting more red sap, or are you heading back to town?" She shot a glance back at the crate again.

"I could get some more, but I probably would not be able to fit it in the car. So I guess the one crate shall do. Let's just hope no Grimm arrive though, wouldn't want to fight them with the chance of the jars being destroyed." Afterwards, Connla would start leading them around aimlessly in the forest, having no determined stop point.

"I'm sure we could take out any Grimm before they posed any threat to that crate of yours! Unless, of course, it's a Nevermore or a Deathstalker in which case they would only be in some danger for a teeeeny bit." She put a grin on her face. Well, I don't actually know how well he fights, but I wouldn't let the near regardless.

"I guess that is correct. You do seem like you could handle yourself in a fight pretty well." With the words of encouragement, he would rather passively look around for any Grimm to be seen.

"And you seem more than capable, yourself." As she said that, her eyes caught some movement quite a ways in front of them.

It was likely Connla spotted the movements as well. At first, only one Ursa, which was actually quite large, stepped out into the open from behind a tree. It's nose was up in the air, sniffing at it. It then turned its head to the duo's direction, specifically Connla's. It let out a soft growl, and when it did, another Ursa, which was about three-quarters the size of the first, stepped out into the open as well. It stared into their direction as well, but both, for now, did nothing.

"Why did I even have to say that? Now there is going to be like, two hundred Ursa suddenly jumping at us." Connla says with a sigh. Moving the crate so it is directly behind him, he withdraws the chain from it and wraps it around his arm, using the other to withdraw Desolater, "Should we take them out? If not they could kill others who are less prepared for such things."

Aurelia laughed heartily. "It may be best to watch what you say because it might actually happen! And I don't think we have a choice at this point." Keeping her word, she darted forward, charging both the Ursa, and as she was doing so she took out Argenteous Venti and extended it to full length behind her, but she only released a single blade.

The smaller Ursa, upon seeing Aurelia charging towards them, charged back at her. In the mean time, the larger Ursa let out a deafening roar, one to be sure to be heard quite a distance away, before charging towards Connla. There was a noticeable increase in falling leaves as it did so.

Laughing as the challenger approaches, he would go for the first strike, Unworthy Saint coming back off his arm and being used as a weapon, the spearheaded tip first going to try and slash its neck open before being swung down to try to do the same to its chest. With his other hand he would draw Holy, revving loudly as he states boldly, "Very well! If the Space butterfly has deemed you to die this day, I shall be its instrument!"

As she and the smaller Ursa approached one another, she tried to skid to a stop while taking a swing at it's torso. Hmm, something doesn't feel right. I wonder what it is.

Aurelia's blade came short of what she intended only leaving a very shallow cut on the Ursa's torso. Unphased by her attack, it took a swipe at her.

In the mean time, the large Ursa noticed Connla's attack and swung an arm at the object that was coming towards it. Instead of hitting the Ursa's neck, the spear head embedded itself into the Ursa's forearm, and with a drag down towards its chest, it was forced to stop its charge about 10 meters from Connla as it became too unbalanced to do so. It could still stand, however, and was waving its arm frantically.

Deciding to give ut a quick death, he presses a button as he strides forwards, the chain starting to return from its fully extended form to burro within the handle in an attempt to drag the Ursa towards him. When he gets within range, he would thrust the drill towards the bears chest, aiming to grind its organs into dust.

Aurelia swore as he ducked under the swipe. Using the momentum she still had, she slid closer to the Ursa. As she did, she broke her glaive, retracted the handle, and slashed up at the Ursa. Under her breath, she muttered "You should've died the first time, you beast."

Aurelia's Ursa didn't make a sound as it toppled back, and as it hit the ground, some fallen leaves bounced into the air for just a moment.

Connla's Ursa, now on the ground, was struggling to break free from the chain, but it was no use. As the drill dug deep into its chest, it loud a gnarly, grisly roar before going silent, its entire body going limp.
