An Awkward Encounter of the Aph Kind [CLOSED]

It was getting relatively late around Beacon, as the stars and moon were out and the hallways were only dimly lit. To be honest, it creeped Gwyn out immensely. Wasn't this usually when scary stuff happened in horror movies? Dimly lit hallway, single flickering light, night time, she was alone... Yeah, she was gonna die.

"Oh no..." she mumbled under her breath as she held her arms close to her rather generous bosom. She quickly tread the hallways, trying to get back to her dorm room where her teammates were probably sleeping. It was kind of late and Gwyn had been out doing... "things" for a certain group she was a part of. She was in her casual attire, but on her back was her anti-tank rifle in its docile state with a shotgun crossed over it, and her two revolver pistols at her legs. She looked like a completely average bunny girl (save for her above average chest) covered in guns. A strange sight it was.

As Gwyn rounded the corner, she didn't notice the man who was about to round it himself, as she was too busy staring at the flickering light to make sure no ghosts or possessed children spawned underneath it when she wasn't paying attention to it. Gwyn collided with the man and gave a cute "meep" upon impact before falling down onto her behind, where she immediately tried to back away into a wall, covering herself when she couldn't scoot away anymore.

"I'msorrypleasedon'tkillme!" she uttered in a quick and frightened manner, not noticing the man she had bumped into meant no real harm to her.

Aphelion recovered from the bump rather flawlessly, being a pretty good close quarter combatant and all. Taking a few moments to take in what happened, he saw the little pile of guns skitter away towards a wall and cower, giving off what seemed to be a very rushed apology.

Aphelion, being the tactless idiot that he was, took a few steps to approach the girl and squatted down, offering her his upturned palm, "I'm sorry if I frightened you, are you okay? Do you need help?" he asked, his voice filled with evident concern and care for the stranger.

Despite the concern and care that was very evident, Gwyn moved herself along the wall to get even further away from Aph, still thinking that he was a monster ready to rend her limb from limb, even though she didn't even look at him. "No don't hurt me!" she shouted, moving even further away until her shirt was caught on something and she couldn't pull herself any further. She tugged on the shirt but it wouldn't come off the corner of a broken piece of floor that it was stuck on. It was actually kind of cute to see the little bunny girl tug on it without getting anywhere. Any normal person would have just pulled it off the piece of shattered marble floor, but noooo, Gwyn was too intent on pulling it off. Needless to say, after about a minute of pulling, it didn't work.

Watching her reaction, Aphelion pouted slightly. "Okay." Aphelion said simply, moving to sit down and watch Gwyn fight with her skirt, "I'm here if you'd like some help." he added, watching her continue to struggle. It was a pretty cute sight to say the least, "You shouldn't be wandering the nights alone like that, even with all these guns."

Gwyn pulled on her shirt one last time, putting all of the strength in her little bunny muscles into it, and tore the shirt off of the floor. "Aww... this is one of my good shirts too..." she mumbled to herself, oblivious to the man standing right in front of her. Gwyn grieved over her now torn shirt for a moment before looking back up at the man, her face instantly turning red as she averted her eyes and pulled her ears over her face. "O-Oh! I-I'm so sorry for r-running into you." she said, apologizing to the man as best she could, whimpering a bit afterwards. She didn't want to be here, she just wanted to be in her room. "I-I'm so s-sorry..."

"It's okay, don't worry about it." Aphelion smiled and offered her his hand, "I'm sorry for scaring you. You sure you don't want some help? How could I resist helping such a cute little girl?" he laughed warmly and looked at her, "Name's Aphelion by the way, wanna hang out a bit?"

"C-Cute? Hang o-out??" she asked, removing her ears from her face to look at Aphelion. "B-But I j-just met you!" she said, her face turning red. She looked at Aphelion's hand not sure if she should take it. She reached out tentatively, pulling her hand back once it got close to his. Her face turned as red as it could and she averted her eyes. "I-I don't k-know..." she stuttered, her eyes tearing up from how scared she was right now.

"I only just met you too. But you look like an interesting person, y'know? Besides, I'm bored so I wouldn't mind some company." Aphelion shrugged but left his hand in front of him, trying to give her a properly warm smile, "If you don't want to it's okay, I'm sorry for scarring you like this."

Gwyn looked at Aph, actually looking kind of frightened by him (for no real reason). He didn't seem to want to hurt her... Maybe it'd be okay if they hung out for a while? Maybe...

"O-Okay..." she mumbled, a little 'eep' escaping her lips as she slowly reached out and tenderly grabbed Aph's hand. "I-I'm Gwyn..." she mumbled, averting her eyes as she slowly got up to face him.

''Nice to meet you Gwyn.'' Aphelion chimed, pulling himself up to stand while she dod. Calmly, he pulled the hand away, before bringing it to his side, politely giving her space, ''Wanna do something fun then? Like sit around outside,, or we could go upstairs to my room and play board games.''

"Uhm..." she mumbled, lacing her fingers together and twiddling her thumbs. She made sure not to make direct eye contact, lest she wanted to faint. "I... I d-don't know." she said, standing there awkwardly. If Aph looked close enough, he'd notice the poor bunny girl actually shaking a bit. It wasn't cold out at all, instead it was actually quite the opposite. No, she was just shy and afraid of Aph, and as such she was literally shaking in fear, tears forming on the edges of her eyes. She adjusted her glasses to try and hide this, but instead let him see her shaking hand instead.

"That's okay. Would you like a moment to think? I can wait." Aphelion said softly, sitting back down. The girl was obviously nervous and seemed pretty shy, and it was understandable, even to Aph, that it wouldn't be easy talking to her. Yet that also intrigued him, and he liked making friends, so he obediently waited.

"Uhm... I don't k-know what to do..." she mumbled embarrassedly, bringing her arms against her chest as her mouth scrunched up. "I'm s-sorry." she said as tears formed on the edges of her eyes. She sniffled a little bit and felt like she was going to cry over the fact that she was here, talking to a man she didn't know. It was nothing to cry about... for anyone that wasn't Gwyn. "I-I'll just... do whatever you do..."

Aphelion watched Gwyn's nervousness, hearing her sniffle and notice tears form. Whipping out a packet of tissues, he pulled one out and gently pressed it to the edges of her eyes, soaking up some of the tears before smiling again, thinking about how to calm her, "Maybe I could pet your ears then?"

Gwyn froze when Aph wiped the tears from her eyes, staring at him with and expression of shock and terror. "U-U-Uhm..." she stuttered at his request to pet her ears. She didn't say yes, but at the same time she didn't say no. The bunny girl was too busy shaking in fear from being around another sentient being, like she did almost all of the time. For the time being, she stood in fear, not saying anything until Aph did something.

Aphelion sighed softly once more, moving away to sit down in front of her, "Take your time, I have quite a bit of it." he said before pouting slightly, "Do I scare you? I can leave if you'd prefer that..."

Gwyn snapped out of her strange trance and looked at Aph, kind of concerned now. "N-No, no it's f-fine... I just... I-I'm not used to b-being around people..." she muttered, hesitantly sitting down in front of Aph and bowing her head a bit. "Y-You can p-play with them..." she said, letting Aph have full access to her soft bunny ears.

Aphelion slowly raised his hand to her bunny ears. At first setting his palm down on them, he let her get used to his touch and his palm to her soft fur before starting to gently stroke them, trying to go for the spots that tend to relax faunus from what he knew, "That's understandable. Especially around me, a stranger, right Gwyn?"

"Mhm..." was all that came out of her mouth as a response. Her face changed color from the embarrassment of red to the shyness of pink. It felt nice, to have someone stroke her big bunny ears for once. There were probably only one or two other people that did this to her, which was unfortunate for her. "It feels... n-nice." she said, twiddling her thumb as she averted her eyes once more, letting Aph's hands do whatever they wanted with her bunny ears.

''I'm happy to hear that.'' Aphelion smiled, more to himself than her, as he continued massaging her ears, hands moving up and downrhytmically, ''Feel better now?'' he inquired curiously.

Gwyn actually smiled a bit as she closed her eyes and let Aph massage her ears, making her calm down and stop shaking a bit. "Y-Yeah... thank you." she said. It took a minute, but she gained the courage to look up into Aph's eyes, smiling warmly as she sat there with him petting her ears. "W-What are you doing out here anyways?" she asked curiously, hardly remembering why she was out here herself.

"Oh, nothing, just hanging out and looking for someone to do." Aphelion shrugged and move to the base of her ears, rubbing it, "What are you doing her, Gwyn? A little late to be wondering around isn't it?"

"N-Not really..." she muttered, averting her eyes again. "I-I was out tweaking my guns." she flawlessly lied. "It's been weeks since I've checked u-up on them." she said, her hands reaching down to rub against her pistols. This was a lie that almost no one could see through, something she had trained herself to do years ago. Aph probably wouldn't tell, she was almost completely sure of it. It was for their benefit that he didn't anyways.

"Ah, I see. I wouldn't understand, I'm not good with technology... I mean, I can maybe shoot one? Like, pull the trigger. But not tweaking or stuff. Don't have the brains for it." he admitted, stroking her gently, "Fun?"

"I-I guess..." she mumbled as she removed her glasses. With a sigh she placed them in her pocket and smiled up at Aph. "D-Do you wanna do something else...? So y-you know... W-We're not just sitting in the hallway?" she suggested, hardly audible as she looked around her. "The e-ear petting is nice but... w-we're kinda just... sitting... h-here..."
