Field trip to Savage's Peak 2.0, Day 1: Rough Morning [Plot]

((So here's the deal: All of you have boarded the airship, introduced yourselves, were attacked by the [REDACTED], and have fallen into the jungle.
You know the basics about each other, your names, your teams, and stuff. Because David no longer exists in the plot, nobody opened the wall, so you all remained in the ship for the duration of the fall.
So I'll be handing out injuries on the first post! lucky you!))

Petra: Petra has sustained a broken right ankle, a broken rib, and a minor concussion.

Drake: Drake has sustained severe bruising on his chest and back, and a dislocated right shoulder.

Mao: Mao has sustained a minor concussion, minor burns on his back, and minor scrapes and bruises.

Daisy: Daisy has sustained a sprained right ankle, a bruised head, and a broken nose.

Hoshi: Hoshi has several light burns across her back and shoulders, as well as severe bruising on her chest.

Malina: Malina impaled herself on her own tail and died has a broken left arm and minor bruising on her torso.

Moseph: Moseph has sustained a fractured right fibula and has been impaled through the right shoulder by a thin metal beam.

Petra awakens on the jungle floor, broken and bruised, but alive. She tries to speak up, to call for her students, but ends up in a coughing fit, spitting up blood and her vision swimming. She manages to roll over on her back, giving herself a hazy view of the crash. The ship was on fire, suspended in the air by the thick treeline. Her vision began to return and Petra could make out several human shapes in the trees and on the ground next to her. Drake hung by thick vines below the ship. Mao lie on the ground several feet away. Daisy hung upside down by her foot from a thick wire on the ship. Hoshi was draped across a tree limb. Malina lie in a pile of leaves with Moseph in a heap on top of her.

Unconscious, Mao was having a dream about becoming a pirate wanting to loot all over the world. He had stolen an airship and was eventually shot down by the Pirate Hunters. Going down in flames, he thought Wait a second, why does this feel so familiar? Suddenly, his mind went dark and he could feel various aches reawaken all over his body. He tried to remember what had happened prior to his little nap. Ah yes, the airship. To Savage Peak...the airship... He was having trouble formulating his thoughts at the moment. As he opened his eyes, he was laying face down into the ground. He felt a slight pain in his abdominal area, but it still took him several seconds before to decided to actually turn over, his daze delaying his thoughts.

As Mao turned onto his back, however, a shock went through his body and he shot up to a sitting position. He wasn't sure what had actually happened to his back, or at least he didn't remember just yet, but it must have been not good. He sighed. His thoughts were slowly coming back to him. It would probably be best...if I examined the rest of my body...just in case. He carefully activated different muscles in his legs, and through there was some pain, upon closer inspection he discovered it was just some nicks and bruises. So far, so good. He brought in his legs closer to his body to be more comfortable before checking both his arms and discovered the same thing as before. He then poked at his neck before sighing with relief. All seems well. For now. Mao looked up towards the treetops, the sunlight pouring through any cracks left in the canopy. And there was a burning airship. And a few figures hanging in the trees. Well, that's a pleasant sight.

Turning his gaze to the forest floor, he spotted a couple more bodies in a pile of leaves before realizing that someone seemed to be coughing. He turned his head to look behind him only to see Petra laying on the ground. Was I just imagining things? He turned around to crawl towards but initially collapsed which sent a minor jolt of pain throughout his body. He lifted himself carefully, making sure to keep his back still.

Upon reaching Petra, he just sat next to her. What was my goals for doing this...? I don't even remember... He could see that she was conscious and that there was blood around her mouth. He opened his mouth to say something, but nothing seemed to want to come out. Instead, he just waved a hand in front of her face to see if she would respond.

Darkness was the first thing Malina noticed, or rather didn't notice, as her senses came back to her. She soon heard the crackling of a fire somewhere above her as well as the ambient sounds of a jungle all around her. She tried to remember what had happened. 'We were in...the airship. Then....then...we were....shot down? No...no that's not right...we were attacked....then...' She slowly opened her eyes to see deep green leaves around her. 'Then we crashed...' She could feel something pressing down on her from above her. 'Tree?...No...too light...' She took a deep breath and tried to move Manticore. The metalic tail slowly moved closer to her face so she could asses any damage to the exterior. The first thing she noticed was one of the several spikes connected to the tail had broken off at the base and now lay out of reach. 'Alright...nothing too bad...I need to check the insides...' Manticore slowly lifted itself and attempted to push the mass on top of her off, but to no avail. She then slowly put her right arm under her body and began to push. The she moved her left arm and- "Sonofabitch!" She muttered through clenched teeth as her body fell back onto the ground once she tried to move her left arm. Something was wrong with her arm, that much she knew, but there was no way she could tell what from this angle.

A deep purple aura formed around Malina as she pushed herself up and away from whatever was on top of her with her right hand. As she fell down on her back she noticed the flaming ship above her then moved her head to the left to see Moseph impaled on a metal beam. With another deep breath Manticore lifted itself off of the ground, with its poison chamber spinning until it stopped on the sedative, and made a small incision on her arm. 'It's not much but it'll do for now...' She though to herself as she slowly lifted herself up into a sitting position with her left arm hanging limp next to her.

The first thing that came to Moseph's awakening were words. "Two billion more will die tonight! Imagine stacks of burning flesh, Whole city blocks now house the ashes of mankind." Then the shock of being moved, and only then the pain in his right shoulder. That certainly aided Moseph's awakening as he jumped into a sitting position and roared from pain. He looked at his right shoulder, at the metal beam in it... at the blood flowing. Bringing himself to his senses, he began excreting the Parasite around the wound and stopping the bleeding.

Groaning, he began to notice things beyond himself - first, the left lens of his glasses was cracked, majorly. Great, I'll need new glasses on top of a new shoulder. he did his best to not move his arm and inflict any additional pain to himself. Then Malina. Ugh, not the person I wanted to see first. Well, more like I didn't want to see her especially.

"The world is gone! A massive grave endures instead, Toxic weeds are growing over the-"

Moseph yanked out his earphones and turned off the music, putting them back inside the suit. Focusing more Parasite around the wound, he reached into his breast pocket and put his e-cig back into his mouth, inhaling a mouthful of apple tart-flavoured smoke before attempting to get to his feet. A sharp pain in his right leg brought him back down as he violently exhaled the smoke, almost choking on it. He sat back down and started breathing systematically to help in ignoring the pain.

Hoshi woke from her unconscious state to the sound of the ship on fire and the bright light the fire emitted. Her back stung discovering she had burns across the top part of her back. she found herself strung over a tree limb, trying not to fall she turned herself round until she was on the tree limb length ways. 'Where am I' she thought dazed and confused. she looked around seeing the other's strung around in various locations . She began to crawl along the branch thinking 'Must keep going', although her burn's hurt on contact with her clothing despite it being strung with hole's where the fire had burned her and the clothing. Her chest hurt as well from the bruises she attained from the fall. 'Where's Petra?' she thought wondering where she was, she was the teacher of course.

She crawled forwards towards the tree trunk hoping to climb down instead of fall and hurt herself anymore. She began to climb down the tree, but lost her footing halfway down and fell a short distance onto her burns. She winced in pain as her burn's began to sting more fierce than before. 'This is not my day' she thought. She saw her bag on the floor, slightly ripped picking it up . She levered herself up using the tree her leg's were fine but her chest and the top of her back were living hell. As she began checking the bodies for Petra. She searched in the tree's noticing Daisy strung up in thick metal wire and sent her a message "Daisy are you OK, send me something please!" telepathically. She began looking for way's to get her down. Noticing Drake hanging in vines as well, abandoning her search for Petra and choosing to help the two suspended in the air before helping herself.

Daisy hung unconscious in the treetops, hung by her foot caught in some metal wiring from the ship. Daisy just hung limply for a while until she was awoken by Hoshi's voice, Daisy's eyes snapped open but her vision was red, the blood from her nose had flowed over her eyes, Daisy wiped her eyes clean before looking around, she saw the burning wreck of the ship in the treetops, Daisy then realised that she was suspended by something, she went to look up to see what it was when a sudden jolt of pain went across her whole body, spreading from her ankle. Daisy looked up again to see what was hanging her upside down which also seemed to be the thing that was causing her pain, she saw her foot wrapped in a steel cable from the wreckage. Daisy finally pieced together where she was.

Daisy then remembered what awoke her, Hoshi's voice. Daisy looked around to see Hoshi standing on the floor of the forest, Daisy then sent telepathically: Ah, it hurts but nothing serious. Daisy looked at Hoshi to make sure she was ok, Daisy noticed that she was in pain and sent telepathically: Don't worry about me, are you ok, you seem to be in pain.

Hoshi was holding her chest, the pain of her severe bruising was almost unbearable but she gritted her teeth and fought through the pain thinking more about Daisy and getting her down back to the ground. She sent "My chest is almost unbearable and  have several burn's on my back but apart from that I'm fine" telepathically to Daisy being honest that she was in a lot of pain. She looked around at the options for getting Daisy back on to the ground safely. 'option one: Daisy try's to get her foot free and fall then I can catch her' she thought then looking for other options. Not many options were presented obviously to the untrained eye. She thought of another idea but it involved two people. 'OK i climb the tree that's a arm's length away and then saw at the metal wire with something sharp' she thought. She took scabbard out of her bag and attached it to her thigh. She began to climb the tree her chest pressed against the tree causing her much agonising pain.

When she reached the same height as Daisy's waist, on the tree she crawled on the branch which led closest too her. She sent "Take hold of my hand, I'm going to help you down. Don't be afraid" telepathically trying to keep her calm. She force-ably grabbed hold of her hand so even if she didn't grab hold of her she wouldn't fall. She pulled her sword from her scabbard and began hitting the metal wire repetitively in the same spot so i would weaken "remember i won't let you fall" she sent telepathically.

Pain...

Pain was proof you were still alive. In silence Drake stirred, assessing the situation as he pushed himself up on the Talons. Bruised ribs...his shoulder out of place. He stands, slowly, cold black eyes narrowed as he glances about. He knew how to solve one problem at least. Quietly he released the lock on the Talons, letting them fall as he grips his arm and makes his way toward the solid trunk of one of the many trees.

This was going to hurt...

He growls as he takes a deep breath, slamming his shoulder into the trunk, forcing it back in with an audible snap. The pain of course is immense, causing him to clench his fists and almost roar in agony as he pushes away, rotating his arm carefully. Problem solved, despite the pain. He then carefully dons the Talons once more, making his way slowly toward the sounds of the others, bladed cloak clinking behind him as he hisses his annoyance.

This wasn't going to be so straightforward after all. Still, the end result would be worth it.

Petra blinked. Absentmindedly, she waved her living hand at Mao's to shoo it away. "Where... Is everyone-" Petra was interrupted by a searing pain in her chest, causing her to sit up, gripping her broken rib. She spat some more blood on the ground and sharply inhaled to dull the pain a little. "Where are the others? Can ya walk? We need ta get everyone down here, assess injuries, patch everyone up." Petra, with some assistance, got to her feet and, with a yelp and a fair bit of profanity, fell back to the ground, grabbing at her ankle. "****in' fires, that hurts! Okay, that's gonna need a splint... Mao, see if ya can't find a bag aroun' here, there should be some first aid supplies in it." Petra's voice was strained, mostly from the pain her rib was causing her, as well as her aching head. She gingerly tried massaging her now swelling ankle to ease the pain.

Mao watched with somewhat widened eyes as Petra struggled with her injuries and inhaled sharply when she had coughed up blood. Our guide is out...not good. Not good at all. He pointed towards the pile of leaves and then the canopy to indicate where everyone seemed to be. He nodded at her request before carefully standing himself up, making sure again then he was, for the most part, fine. To look around, he had to turn his entire body as to not disturb his back. My vision...still a bit hazy. He rubbed his eyes to see if it would help, but it really didn't do much. He sighed before he starting walking around the area looking for the bag with the medical supplies.

After a bit of time, Mao eventually found the bag, though that isn't to say it was that easy. He slowly knelt down picked it up and unzipped it as he went back to standing posture. Looks like this is it. It was then that he noticed that all the other voices around him. It sounded like everyone aboard were still...not dead...for now. Which was good. Mao normally would have smiled at the prospect, but clearly this was not the time for it. He walked back over to Petra and knelt down next to her. He shuffled through the bag and took out anything that could probably be used to make a splinter. Also in the bag was a bottle of pain killers. He took it out and shook it around like a rattle as if asking if she wanted one.

Malina turned her head as Moseph pulled himself off of the beam that had pierced his shoulder. From him she looked down at her arm, the pain was fading at least, however, she still couldn't move it. She looked back up at Moseph, now smoking something and had fallen back onto the ground. 'Well....We aren't on the best of terms...and he is an arrogant dick..but...him being hurt would just slow everything down.' She thought absentmindedly with unfocused eyes. "He-" She started saying before she was cut off but a series of coughs, clearing her throat of the smoke of the ship. After a moment of coughing she looked at Moseph once more. "You.......you need help?" She said tiredly and with Manticore coming around to her face and spinning the poison chamber so she could check the sedative levels.

Moseph started paying more attention to the woman when she had a coughing fit. Looks like others got screwed up too. he thought before she asked him a surprising question. Oh boy, I wonder what she'll expect in return. I should take it up though, or I'll be stuck like this. he took the electronic cigarette out and returned it to his pocket, "I wouldn't mind any, my right shoulder got pierced and my right leg hurts like hell." he said, casually and with his usual monotony.

Daisy was worried for Hoshi, she didn't like to see her in pain, she then felt more worried when she began to climb the tree. Daisy sent Hoshi telepathically: No stop, you might fall and hurt yourself. When Hoshi reached the branch near Daisy and held out her hand Daisy reached out and grabbed, Daisy pulled herself into a more horizontal position then pulled out Orion with her free hand and loaded HE rounds, she then fire a few rounds at the place where the cables were attached to the ship, eventually one shot severed the cable and Daisy swung towards the tree Hoshi was holding her up from, Daisy couldn't put her arm out to stop herself and ended up hitting her head against the trunk of the tree, knocking her out again.

Hoshi kept hold of Daisy while she swung into the tree. When Daisy hit into the tree there was a sickening sound as her head impacted the tree. Hoshi's Hoisted her up onto the branch she was on with both of her hand's, but was finding it hard to pull her up. Instead she activated her semblance, and used her telekinesis to lower her slowly and softly onto the ground trying not to aggravate any of her numerous issues.  She then began to climb back down the tree, however she fell the last 6 feet tired from the use of her semblance and her own pain. She fell backwards onto her burn's making her back feel like it was on fire, she let out a little scream from the pain of her back.

She then rolled onto her front, keeping her chest elevated as not to cause anymore pain, then got onto her knee's and shuffled towards Daisy who was now on resting on the ground unconscious the ground. She checked over her injuries making a mental list 'Bruising to the head, her ankle looks slightly swollen, a possible minor concussion from hitting the tree and her nose looks broken' most of the injuries she had listed mentally she had gone completely blank about treating. She decided to go get help although she couldn't leave Daisy alone unconscious in case a Grimm goes to attack her. She picked her up and put her on her shoulder, but only for a second as her burn's began to sting. Instead she picked her up in her arm's and carried her over to where she thought she had heard some coughing and talking coming from earlier, she sent "You're going to be fine" to Daisy, hoping she had got the message.

Malina fell down back onto her back again, looking up at the flaming ship for a moment before sitting herself back up and slowly rising to a standing position. Her whole body ached as if she was used as a punching bag. Thankfully the sedative had set in and she couldn't feel her arm. Her chest felt like she was slammed with a sledgehammer and her legs felt as if she hadn't used them in ages as she tried to move. She slowly made her way to Moseph and knelt down on his right side. His shoulder needed cleaning and proper care, she could provide some help in the area...but the leg was a problem. "Can you walk on your leg?" She asked after looked over his wounds. Behind her Manticore moved around her body and rested above Moseph's shoulder.

Moseph tried pulling himself up but putting even some weight on his right leg caused a huge jolt of pain as he pushed himself back down, drawing a sharp breath at the feeling, "...No." was all he said before sighing, "How much can you help, and what'll you want in return?" he asked blatantly, noticing a large branch a few metres away. Taking a rock from the ground, he connected the Parasite to it and threw it at the branch, attaching to it and beginning to pull it towards him to use as a walking stick, or a makeshift crutch.

"What do I want? I want you to not slow everyone else down with a broken leg. However...." Malina looked around at the other students that had been on the trip. "...I don't know if it will even make a difference..." She looked back down to Moseph. "I have some sedative loaded in this...it'll ease the pain but you won't be able to feel your leg or shoulder..." She said before Manticore lowered itself and made a small incision on Moseph's shoulder and leg. "Alright...it should set in soon.."

Petra reluctantly took a pill and swallowed it, she was never a big fan of medicine, but her whole body was aching and a little painkiller wasn't going to kill her. She scooted backwards so she could lean against a tree before looking up at the wreckage above her. "Oi! Ferrox! Can ya move? More importantly, can ya climb?" Petra eyed the burning wreckage of the airship and thought of all the supplies that could still be on board. Damn this leg! I can get in there no problem, well, climbing may be an issue, but the fire won't be... "Right." Petra turned her body as much as she could to face Moseph and Malina. "Oi! Pharoh, Xenwise! Get over here if ya can, we need all the working legs we can get. We need ta find all the supplies we can, get us all patched up... an' preferably away from the airship that looks just about ready ta blow up."

"Alright then. Thanks I guess." Moseph finally got the branch to himself and, once the pain faded off, he stuck it into the ground and pulled himself up onto one leg, balancing himself on it to stabilize before moving the branch first, towards Petra, then the left leg, right one limping along the ground, approaching the woman at as good a pace as he could muster.

Hoshi walked towards the person she thought was Petra Evans before yelling out "Can I have a little bit of help here" putting the unconscious Daisy onto the floor and sitting down next to her, holding her hand and sending "You're going to be OK, just wake up". She put her bag beside her and checked it for anything that might be remotely useful only finding bandages and some anti-septic, she pulled them out of the bag and placed them next to her "This is all the medical supplies I have, anyone else got some?" she said

After Petra had taken a pill, he tucked the bottle away into a pocket, not with the intention of hiding it but rather just safe keeping. The atmosphere was much...livelier than before for lack of a better term. Or maybe it was the most appropriate term. He shrugged and winced as a jolt shot down his back. Everyone seems to have come back. He looked up at the flaming wreckage of the airship and became mesmerized for a moment. Flames... Suddenly, images flashed into his mind regarding the crash. So that's what happened, huh? He sighed and then looked towards Petra. "Well, do you need help with that or am I clear to help the others?" was what he wanted to say. Instead, he simply said "Help?" while pointing at himself and then the bandage. This is...incredibly... He let out of a huff filled with frustration.

"This is all the medical supplies I have, anyone else got some?"

Mao tilted his head back to see a blonde-haired girl next to a still body. His heart skipped a beat. He grabbed the bag and stood up, making sure he had taken everything required for the splint. That's everything, right? Oh, wait a second. Recalling his flashback, he shuffled through the bag and took out a cream used to tend to burns. With that, he zipped up the bag and did his best to slide it across the ground towards Hoshi, aware that it would disturb his back, but at least he expected it this time. With that, the tucked away the cream as well. Should Petra accept the offer, he will oblige. Otherwise, he would simply go around looking for bags and doing whatever else needs to be done.

Malina turned her head at the flaming airship above her. 'Distance would be smart....but..' She looked back at her teacher against the tree. 'That doesn't seem far enough...' She stumbled to her feet and slowly made her way over to Petra. "I have sedatives for any injuries." Manticore spun around in front of her once more so she could see the chamber. "I only have so much though so we should save it for serious injuries for now..." She looked back to the airship once more. While she had brought back up supplies along they would have been in her bag..on the airship. Along with... 'Shit!' She quickly patted her sides with her right hand to find both of her weapons there and holstered. Breathing a sigh of relief, she turned back to Petra. "My replacement chambers were on the ship. I could try to make makeshift sedatives from some tree roots...however I'm not very good at making the stuff and it would only be a fraction of the normal sedative's effectiveness." Malina looked around the crash site at the other students for a moment. "We'll need some makeshift slings as well...." She said, looking around the surrounding foliage.

Petra waved off Mao, his help would be better spent elsewhere. "I can handle it, I was raised a huntress, after all." Petra removed her boot and splinted up her ankle, making sure it was immobilized. Leaning on the tree, she was able to stand on her own and limp around. She turned to Malina. "I have an idea." Petra pointed up to the burning airship. "I'm bettin' the rest of the supplies are up in the ship. I can take the fire without a problem, the issue is gettin' me up there." Petra raised her hammer hand. "Climbin' ain't so easy with one hand an' one foot." Petra limped over to Hoshi and Daisy. "Oi, Hikari. She alright? We're gonna need your hand for somethin'"

The fire from the ship slightly illuminating the area in a orange glow, Hoshi looked up 'I wonder if there's any supplies left in the ship' she thought. Hoshi looked back down at the mention of her name to see Petra limping towards her. The mention of Daisy made her zone out a little, replaying the sound of her head impacting on the tree. She heard the rest of the sentence although she had adopted a look that suggested she was day dreaming. She snapped back to reality, "Daisy should be fine, I hope, she hit into the tree at some force when I tried to help her get down from the tree and what do you need me to do" she said her look turning to one of eager.

Petra nodded, she put her arm over Hoshi's shoulder and lead her directly under the airship. "Odds are the rest of our supplies are up there. I can handle the fire, but I need you to lift me up there... Gently please." Petra limped away, positioning herself directly below the massive hole where most of the adventurers had fallen from. "Whenever yer ready."
