Test of Strength [open]

Descada Docks is located on the south side of the City of Vale. It was the center of export and import of goods of all kinds. Dust, clothes, fish, food, gems, and all that jazz. It was also home to several pubs and bars that were famous for their chocaholic drinks and amazing sea food. And that my friends is why Emma Norm is at Descada Docks.

Emma decided to mix up her usual dress. Instead of her black jeans, Emma was wearing a long flowing black skirt with toxic green leggings with small black polka-dots. She still wore her utility belt and armor plated boots, as well as her armor vest and toxic green hoddie. But, Emma hair was in a long braid instead of leaving it down with a headband.

Emma hates alcohol, but she loves pub cuisine. She love the fried greasy goodness of pub food, which was frown upon by her fellow girls cause of the calories. Emma never understood that. Why starve yourself to get in a size 5 dress? But, then again Emma was overweight, but she like her body. So on a mid afternoon on a Saturday, Emma was walking down the streets of Descada Dock looking at a map contemplating of where she should she eat first.

Down by the docks, Minos is taking a break from watching over the supplies shipments needed by his fellow comrades. His armor in it's retracted form and he himself wearing a trench coat, Minos feels pretty confident about not being recognized. Nobody has ever seen him fight without his armor or at least seen him and lived during one of their operations. 

Deciding to get a bite to eat he casually walks down towards some of the pub food stalls and looks at the menu, deciding what to get. Being quite huge, he notices some people giving him odd looks but they dismiss it immediately upon noticing they were at the docks. Heavy lifting was common in the area so someone of Minos' build would be perfect for the jobs here but in reality he was here on different business but right now he merely wanted something to eat. Hoping that the others won't notice his absence right away he pulls his coat on tighter to try and hide his face but feeling it was useless due to his size, he just sighs it off and waits for his turn to order.

Emma turn another corner and found she was at entrance of a series of food stalls dedicated to pub style food. Squealing to herself, Emma started walking towards the foods stalls. That is until a huge dark shadow cast over her. Looking up, Emma saw a large storage container was directly above her. Raising an eyebrow Emma thought nothing of it. Until she heard a snapping sound, The storage container started to fall. Everyone thought the woman was about to be squished.

Emma just sighed and raised both her hands up and caught the storage container. Everyone's jaws dropped, the woman caught the storage container! Emma just stared at one of the docksmen and started to tap her foot. "You know someone could have died? Next time put a sign up stating 'Loading in progress. Stay the hell out of the way!'" stated Emma with an annoyed look on her face. The docksman just started to make unintelligent noise. Sighing, Emma just shifted her weight and gently dropped the storage container and started to walk towards the food stalls.

Emma started to wonder why people were staring at her. Only conclusion she could come up with is that she being so tall. Emma was six feet tall and usually she was a giant compared to everyone else. Pouting, Emma headed to the closest line for food.

Looking over to what was causing the ruckus nearby, Minos sees a container falling on a relatively large girl before closing his eyes for a moment, knowing that at any moment now there would be a mess to deal with and he didn't want to be there for the clean up. Turning his back to the scene he starts walking before noticing that something was missing. Something loud. Looking back he sees the woman lift the container as if it were nothing and places it down without even beading a drop of sweat, a bit impressed by the feat, Minos decides to approach her before towering over the already huge woman while lining up for food. "Mind if I pay for your meal, miss?" He says rather smoothly despite his obviously gruff demeanor. "It's not everyday that you stop a one ton crate from crushing you like that. I'll say I'm impressed to say the least."

Emma turn around to see who was addressing her only to met face full of chest. Looking up she met a kind of gruff looking bull faunus. Smiling kindly Emma responded, "Uh...Sure! To tell you the truth, it is not the first time for me stopping something from crushing me or someone else. By this point it is kind of annoying. I mean there should of been a sign warning people" complain Emma as she saw it was her turn to order. "Umm...Can I have one of your famous fish fry with fires and a coke please!"

Impressive. Especially for a girl.

"I'll have what she's having." He said to the guy frying the food. "I guess a few warning signs every now and then shouldn't hurt. If it were someone other than you they would've been a pancake by now."

"Exactly! And it is my luck too that it happen that way" said Emma shaking her head. Emma then just waited for their food to be done, enjoying the comfortable silence. When the vendor handed them their food, Emma immediately took bite out of the fry fish. Slightly annoyed mood disappearing as she chewed the heavenly fry food, Emma kindly smiled at the man, "Thank you again for buying my meal. I needed that!" sighing blissfully Emma continued to eat her meal.

"No problem." He said. "So are you from around here?" Getting his own order, Minos eats the whole thing in one bite, not minding the heat and the oil dripping down. Suddenly realizing that he was still hungry he faces the stall again and says, "I'd like 10 more, hurry it up."

"It seems someone has an appetite!" grinned Emma as she finished off the fish and going to the fries. "I like that, and to answer your question. I am currently enrolled at BEACON in training to become a huntress" explain Emma.

Wincing a bit at the mention of the school of brats that kept meddling in White Fang affairs, Minos hides his expression by pulling up his coat closer to his face and stuffing his face with more fried food after it got cooked. Well, only a few brats get in the way. Maybe she's a normal student, even if she looks a bit old for one, roughly around my age. Better not mention where I'm from. "Well, my appetite has to compensate for my size." He said. "Big boys like me have to eat a lot to stay healthy." he added, with a sly grin on his face.

"True" stated Emma chuckling. She finished of the fries and enjoying her coke, "So, what do you do? Are you a hunter?" asked Emma curious about the man. It was nice to meet someone who did not comment on her negatively at her or act weird around her.

A bit taken aback by the question, Minos keeps his cool and decides to tell half the truth. "As you can see I work here at the docks." But only temporarily due to the white fang's operations and shipments.He said trying not to be suspicious. Leaning in a bit closer he whispers, "I also like joining brawls around the city for cash. I'm a pretty good fighter."

Emma blush a bit when the man lean in closer, "Ah..Tha" "Emma is a pretty good fighter too~"

Emma face goes annoyed and look behind her at Toxic Reaper strapped to her back. It was in rest mode and was suppose to be in recharge, "I thought you were in recharge?"

"I got bored~" chuckled Toxic.

Pinching the bridge of her nose, Emma sighed and looked at the man, "This is my weapon Toxic Reaper. One of my friends at BEACON gave it an AI. Toxic this is...um never got your name. Sorry" said Emma looking a little embarrassed not getting the man's name.

Not worrying about giving his name one bit despite being in the White Fang, Minos decides to play it cool and says, "Minos. Minos Cain." Due to the nature of his operations it's highly unlikely that anyone would know his name outside of the White Fang, no witnesses who've hear it during such an operation have often survived or heard it. Iron Bull. Horned Juggernaut. Luckily we use those code names all the time. Even if it does sound a bit cliche "AI eh? That's pretty advanced for a weapon originally used for cutting wheat." he said. "I also know a few people with AI's, highly complex ones but we're not that close so I don't know much."

"Emma, Emma Norm" said Emma kindly smiling at Minos. She slightly wonder if the news about 'mall' blown over because she did not want Minos to think she some sort of bad egg or something.

"What was that about wheat?" mutter Toxic darkly as Emma rolled her eyes at her weapon.

"Yeah, it was kind of unexpected upgrade. But, welcome upgrade nonetheless." said Emma shaking at her weapon sensitive nature.

"Only thing I don't like is that it's a weapon." He said. "I'm not too fond of weapons, armor I don't mind. Aside from blindly flailing an object I prefer to use my fists." Proving his point he flexes one arm showing off his huge muscles which seemingly were able to push against the sleeve of the trench coat.

Emma blushed a little when Minos flexed, clearing her voice Emma spoke, "Well, I wish I could do that. But, it was kind of too dangerous to learn a fist fighting style for me" Or well the instructor more "I was just too strong. For while it seem it was impossible for me to control my strength" said Emma as she started to recall the past. "That is until a professor to me under his wings and taught me how to use a certain weapon style." continued Emma smiling fondly at the remembrance of her professor. "I have an appreciation for people's fighting styles. You can tell about a person by the their fighting style whether it is by using a weapon or their fists"

"Your weapon must be pretty tough if it could withstand constant strain from a person of your Caliber." Minos said, now loosening his already tight jacket a bit which tightened a bit due to his flexing. I wonder if there's some way to test how much she can take.

"Oh she is!" said Emma as she unfolded Toxic into it standard intimating 10 feet scythe mode. Making the usual 3 feet dent, Emma continue her explanation, "I had to come up with a all new alloy when I made her. It the most resistant alloy I ever seen. Able to withstand dust empowered blows, and when made into a blade, with enough strength it can cut through anything. It only downside it extremely heavy, which for me is not really a big deal" stated Emma excitedly.

"Aren't I pretty?" said Toxic as its eyes glowed.

"A new alloy, eh?" Minos muttered under his breath. The mention of the weapon's details caused him to start thinking back on his armor, something that was pretty much one the the strongest things he new about despite it's maneuverability. Just like Toxic, Rho Aius was heavy, probably 10 times heavier than normal armor but Minos was so used to wearing it that it seemed natural.

Pretty sure it can't get through Rho Aius but this is getting even more interesting.

"Are you willing to test out just how strong it can be?" Minos said, now having an idea in mind.

"Huh? What do you mean?" said Emma kind of confused of what Minos suggesting. Toxic on the other hand knew what was this was leading, "If you going to do what I think your going to do, I suggest you do it somewhere there is not a lot of people. It is going to be a lot of destruction."

"Wha?" said Emma looking at her weapon with a more confused look on her face.

"There's an abandoned warehouse down from here, not too far. A lot of stuff worth breaking and I'd like to see just how strong you really are." Minos said. Lying about the abandoned part, Minos knew that the warehouse was of an influential company that liked laying low on it's storage sources. Perfect, getting rid of another target area while fulfilling my own wants.

"Oh...Uh, Okay" said Emma still a little bit confused but understood that Minos wanted a spar. Finishing the last of her cola, Emma threw her garbage in the trash can. "Well, after you" said Emma transforming Toxic back to rest mode and waited for Minos to show them where the warehouse is.

"Yay! We are gonna fight! I thought it was going to be a boring day!" cheered Toxic. Emma just sighed at her weapon.

Minos starts walking towards a more isolated part of the docks before looking back to Emma. "Come on, we don't have all day." he said. "Do you always use your weapon or would you also use your fists?" Asking a quick question, Minos decides to prepare before facing his current sparring partner. If it was based on experience he would definitely have the advantage but in close quarters, he definitely won't be able to go all-out. The prospect of having to defend from a powerful weapon without his armor would also be a problem but using Rho Aius would give him away. I guess I'd be fighting partially equipped only.

"Well...it depends on the situation really. I often change my fighting style depending the situation. But, seeing I am fighting a person I will not being using Toxic's scythe mode that much" explain Emma smiling nervously. "To tell you the truth I don't have much experience fighting people. I mostly train with dust androids or fought grimm. My teacher feared that could accidentally kill someone after what happen with the fighting instructor that was trying to teach a fist style"

"Yup! I remember you snap a neck of a Ursa by punching it that one time!" comment Toxic

"Toxic not helping..."
