Beacon Courtyard [Invite only]

The sun down through the white marble spires of Beacon academy, casting long shadows across the main courtyard. The grass was almost completely covered in students, making use of their free time. Jacob sat in the shade of an overhanging tree, his eyes were shut, hands steepled over his chest.

Brady had finally managed to catch up on several weeks of overdue homework and had decided to spend his first free afternoon in a while doing his favorite activity.

Brady sat in the branches of an overhanging tree, his eyes were shut, hands steepled over his chest. That is, until a ball was sent flying up into the branches and knocked him on the side of the head. He toppled sideways, swaying upside-down with only one leg hooked around his tree branch.

Jacob's eye opened as he heard a crash in the branches above him, only to see an upside down student dangling above him.
"Hi" he grunted.

"Hey" Brady mumbled, one hand rubbing the side of his head where the ball had struck him. He looking around, slightly unfocused as he blinked the sleep from his eyes. He made no move to fix his inverted state, instead Reaching upwards to the bag he had wedged between a couple branches and retrieving an apple.

"Nice day out. 'cept for the sports enthusiasts" He said as someone ran by to collect the ball that had so rudely awoken him.

"Id' say so" Jacob opened his other eye and sat up slightly "did you want a hand?" the Faunas asked, observing the ball's owner with a cold uncompromising glare.

Skye was sitting at the base of a tree, reading a book and listening to her music through her headphones quietly so she could just hear the people around her.  She suddenly heard a crash of nearby branches and looked up to see a boy hanging upside down on a tree branch, the sight causing her to giggle slightly as she got up off the floor and held her book to her chest as she walked over to the base of the tree and looked up to see there were two boys in the tree. She meekly spoke up and said up almost silently "are you OK up there" not sure if the two boys would be able to hear her. She hid her face slightly behind her long ginger hair, only peeking through the gaps.

Brady's left eyebrow cocked up slightly. "A hand with what?" He asked, Taking a bite of his apple, careful not to drip juice on the boy below him.

Jacob's face broke into a smile
"Fair enough, whatever's comfortable." his wolf ears twitched and he turned to face a ginger girl a little ways off. He offered her his best attempt at a friendly smile "Hey."

Brady had barely heard the small voice a moment ago, and hadn't found its owner until Jacob addressed her first. He twisted around as well as he could, shifting his position on the branch slightly until he found her.

"M'good" He mumbled through the fruit in his mouth and held up a casual thumbs-up. though he was upside down himself so his thumb was pointed towards the ground. He figured they'd know what he meant though.

Jacob paused for a moment, sniffing at the air. He looked up at the boy dangling from the tree above him "You smell strange" he grunts "what are you?" Years of living alone in the ice fields of the North had left Jacob's social skills somewhat lacking, the bluntness of the comment didn't even register in his mind.

Schrödinger was happily strolling through the Beacon grounds, almost skipping, dressed in his girl's uniform, he had seen the amount of students outside and thought it would be an excellent opportunity to look for his target, he still hadn't heard any word of her or seen her in almost a month, he was beginning to get annoyed. His main reason for being outside today was the fact he was bored and looking for something to do though.

He continued strolling, scanning the student's faces and listening to see if he could hear her name, nothing. He eventually gave up when he caught sight of Brady, hanging from the tree. He grinned to himself as he realised his new "objective". He quickly imagined himself sitting in the tree, just beside where Brady was hanging, he suddenly appeared there. He looked down at Brady and said, quite loudly "Waidmanns heil, say... Vat are you doing in a tree, are you a monkey faunus?" Grinning to himself, almost laughing, he then looked at the other students, noticing that none were his target, but he decided to stay though, he wanted some company.

The sudden arrival of another boy in the tree made Jacob jump. Despite the lack of a physical reaction he was still a little stunned, though he wasn't sure why, his time in Vale had shown him much stranger things than the North. He stared up at the new arrival, though perhaps glared would have been a more appropriate word.

Dispite a rather loud individual materializing mere inches from him, Brady remained unphazed. He blinked once and looked up at the... Girl? sitting on the branch by his knees.

"Nah. not a monkey" He took another bite of his apple, letting the silence hang for just a moment longer than typically comfortable before continuing "'m a Sloth faunus. I'm less about the climbing as I am about the hangin'."

He said as He smoothly reached out and grabbed hold of another branch, letting his legs slide off of the first to leave him hanging by one hand, finally right side up. He looked down at the boy beneath them. "An' what do ya mean I smell strange? I showered this morning"

"You don't smell Faunas... not completely anyway" Jacob replied. He straightened up and stretched, his back clicking in a number of places as the kinks were removed. He turned around to try and get a better look at the, individual in the tree beside the Sloth. Jacob wasn't sure if it was a boy or a girl.

Will napped at the top of the tree. He soon woke up, and looked around. "....That was some party....how did I get up here? he looked down, and tilted his head. "Odd. Could have sworn I fell asleep three branches down." He soon climbed down, until he got to the last branch to see someone hanging there. He shrugged as he laid back on the branch.

Skye gave a small meek smile to the stranger above her, moving the hair away from her face a little. Although it still hid most of her face her right eye was now just visible, her chestnut eyes piercing through her ginger hair. She was surprised by the sudden arrival of another person up in the tree Is that a boy...no it can't be, they're wearing a girls uniform, her fox ears twitching slightly as she tried to figure out if it was a boy or girl. Skye froze up upon seeing the large 6 foot 8 inch boy climb down the tree, scared he was coming after her and intimidated by the 2 foot difference in height. She was relieved when he stopped on the last branch and laid. Back the danger gone, she sat down at the base of the tree and began to read her book again, this time without the music.

Will looked down at the girl from the branch. "Whacha reading." He asked in his normal lazy tone. He pulled out his sitar and played some music for the light atmosphere. His sitars blue highlights gleamed in the scattered rays of the sun. He slowly began to play.

Skye froze mid sentence upon hearing Will's voice, not able to place the voice to a body, her eyes locked on the page reading the same word over and over. She looked up into the tree and saw it was the same person she had seem climbing before and she began to try and shrink herself, tucking her legs up to her chest and wrapping her arms around them calm down Skye, calm yourself down he wont hurt you The song he began to play on his sitar calmed her down slightly to the point where she could respond but still be locked in a sitting foetal position. "Tales of Summuria" she said in a quietly in a meek tone.

Will just continued to play. "Never heard of it. Any good?" He asked again in his lazy tone. He kept playing the melody, but a bit softer on the notes. Keeping the notes as soft as possible, but still audible.

"Well, that's cause i'm not completely. Mum's a human and..."

Brady looked up as another boy climbed down to join the growing troupe of tree-bound students

"Man, this is a pop'lar tree. Did I miss a memo or group invite or something?"

Will looked down at the boy. "I dunno I just go with the flow.....which involves me somehow waking up in a tree." He just smiled, and played his guitar. "Name's Will. Yours?" He asked to no one in particular.

Jacob's ears twitched nervously as a crowd slowly accumulating. How had he dozed off beneath a tree with two other people sleeping in it?
"Jacob Reaver" he called up to the youth at the top of the tree.

Skye held a finger where she had got up to in her book before looking up at Will. Skye still hid part of her face with her hair although his playing of his sitar was calming her slightly although she was still intimidated by his size. She looked up at his through her hair and spoke meekly again, although this time with a hint of sadness its ok . She looked back down at her book once again and continued to read.

Jacob had almost forgotten the girl until she spoke up again. He turned to her and offered a faint smile
"You ok?" he asked.

Schrödinger also began to notice the sadness and shyness of the girl, he looked down, quite confused. Due to Schrödinger's "friendliness" he believed that everyone else was just like him, hyperactive and constantly extroverted, he wasn't used to shy people. He imagined himself standing next to Skye and suddenly appeared there, just as he had in the tree, he looked down at her with a quizzical expression and asked "Ja, vat is wrong Fräulein?" Partly concerned and partly interested.
