The Way Things Were [18+ Years Ago...]

First, we must have some suitable music.

The following idea comes up from all sorts of conversation and the realisation that several of our characters are connected through the past. Parents, relations and mentors have all interacted and only through talking with one another do we realise this. But I think we can do better than that.

The concept is simple - Beacon as it was 18-20+ years ago. What experiences did they have? What events took place. What teams formed and what teams sundered? The events here will help to further develop and strengthen your 'current' characters backstories. It will help you to present how the older characters were, once upon a time.

And it gives us a chance to be a little bit more creative in revelations of things to come.

First, some basic rules.

1. You will most likely not be RPing your signature characters. Instead you will likely be playing NPCs from their past that you want to develop just that bit more. Unless of course your character is old enough to have been a Beacon attendee some 22 or so years ago. So, it's highly recommended you go make an NPC post to bring in what you are planning.

2. We will not harm the timeline. No major events to occur unless you want them to. Certainly nothing globe-shattering. The end of the world does not occur here. Perhaps it nearly does once or twice. But that's a story for another day.

3. Plots shall happen. Events shall happen. But these will largely be by mutual agreement. And likewise, don't forget Rule 2. No one is wiping out anyone else's ancestor before they're even born.

The idea is possibly mutliple different threads. Different little plots and mini-plots that can possibly hint or connect to present day ideas....

Updated - I suggest folks make NPC profiles and link them for ease of reference.

Also, plot idea forming time! Storylines as it were. Key moments that you want to build up on. It could be first missions, final missions, general interactions.

P.S. - Manipulations of Ravi is something I'd appreciate many interactions with. I like the idea that he is figuratively the serpent in the garden...
