Dust on the third day. [Closed]

"Y-yeah. Ok. Yeah, I can do that." Maria said as she knelt beside Milly. Grasping the metal protruding from her chest Maria yanks it out, horrified by the liquids coating its jagged edge. Just as she's about to cradle the robots head, the sound of footsteps to her right catches her attention. Grimacing, she leaves Milly's side to face them. Carolyn and the robot where behind the dumpster from their point of view but if they continued down the alley, all three of them would be caught. Her face uncharacteristically fierce, Maria slowly walks towards the policemen, sword scraping along the floor. As soon as they raised her guns, Maria's sword embeds into the ground and she leans against it, drawing her guns she peeks from behind it and opens fire.

The smoke doesn't do more than block the SWAT's vision, their masks filtering out the vile air. It did however block their vision as they ran through the smoke. As they exit, regaining their sight, they spot Minos at the last possible second and dive out of the way. Getting up to a crouch, they level their guns, three facing forwards at Varius and three facing backwards at Minos. As expected of the Vale SWAT team's caliber, there is no pause from when their feet hit to the ground to when their fingers squeeze the trigger, spraying lead in both directions.

Minos is peppered from behind by gunfire and but his armor stays intact as he slows down to turn around. Getting annoyed at the repeated clanking sound of the bullets hitting his armor he starts getting madder and decides to go brawl instead. Walking towards the shooters, Minos keeps his semblance up to minimize damage to his armor while casually raising a finger towards them, taunting them to go melee before making a slight dash to increase his power as he aims a right hook towards one of the cops.

Annoying gnats. Let's see how you deal with my fists!

Carolynn sighed when Maria left. Maybe it's for the best I have no distractions. she thought as the started slowly weaving the damaged wiring together, looking at the robot's face. "You lady is really worried about you, why'd you have to act all stubborn ya imbecile."

Varius did't want to admit it but he didn't actually have a plan any better than the one Minos came up with. "Fine!" With his blade in front of him shielding him from the barrage of bullets, Rayden charged toward the SWAT members aiming to take them out. Before he reached them he knew he would have to create an opening. With his free hand he removed three knives from his belt and threw them at the SWAT member's hands.  Even if they blades didn't pierce the skin he hoped it would stop them enough for him to come in with a horizontal slash aimed at all three of them.

By no means where these officers simple 'gnats'. As Minos approached, they knew not to take his challenge. Hopping back to avoid his fist, they dexterously avoid him, skirting just out of his range. Raising their guns, they fire concentrated bursts at his face, hoping to disorient him in some capacity though they noted their bullets stopped a foot from his body.

Bullets ding against Maria's sword, sparks flying off the blade every now and again as she hid behind it, waiting for them to run out bullets. At the first moment of delay, she leans halfway out from behind the sword and fires again, a bullet lodging deep into one of the officer's shins, dropping him as she hid, the remaining officers opening fire once more, the sound of their footsteps growing louder through the roar of the gunfire each second.

The throwing knives glance off the SWAT's body armor, the plating on their chests and arms easily protecting them though one officer now had a knife dangling comically off his breastplate. As Varius approached, the SWAT move back in perfect unison, getting out of his range as they reloaded their guns, leveling the barrels at Varius as the faunus's horizontal sweep cuts through one of the officer's stomach, the man falling to the ground, clutching his wound. Gritting their teeth, they open fire.

Varius continues his swing and lets it come back to it original position. "Tch" Varius is frustrated with the lack of three dead members but thinks of a new plan. "Can't cut them? Time for Plan B." Varias holds onto Umbra with one hand and digs his other hand into the concrete at his feet. He begins to pull it out and stretch it over his lower half. With his free hand he twists Umbra's handle and opens the cannon part of his weapon and selects the repulsion dust. "I better not die." He slams the handle into the blade and lets the blast toward the ground and hopefully in the direction of the SWAT members.

Finally reconnecting the wires, Carolynn closer up the arm hole to the best of her ability, hoping that it was enough to keep it mobile. At least the wiring now worked. Carolynn then shifted to straddle Milly's lap and move onto the hole in her chest, starting to repair it while humming a certain song.

Grinning as the bullets fell, Minos dashes forward for another assault just as Varius unleashes a shell. Knowing that he'll take sufficient damage if he just stopped, Minos continued pursuing SWAT team in an effort to bring them closer to the blast radius while flaring out his aura to power up his force field.

This is going to hurt you more than it hurts me.

At the explosion from Varius' sword, the three SWAT members are blown back. One slams into factory's crumbling wall and staggers, dazed as he attempts to clear his vision while the remaining one roll backwards, almost back to back with the officers taking on Minos. On the ground, the groan as they got back up to their knees, reloading their weapons to fire once more.

Smiling as she took down one of the officers, Maria waits for her chance to fire back, counting the bullets used as fast as she could. Hearing one of their guns click, she leans out and points her pistol, roaring in pain as a bullet embeds itself in her shoulder just as her own finds it's way to the police officer's unarmored neck. Leaving only two officers standing, Maria's back behind her cover as she clutches her wound, wincing at the pain. "How's she doing?" Maria said over the roar of the gunfire hitting her sword once more.

Minos wasn't the brainiest of opponents the SWAT had faced. The officers smiled under their masks, knowing fully well that all they had to do was stand more than an arm's length away from Minos to be safe. What they didn't know, however, was how to actually do damage to the living tank. Hoping to think of a solution, they varied targets, the command spoken through the earpiece in their helmets ordering the to shoot at his face, shoulders, and the backs of his knees at resectively.

Varius eyes the lone officer who is slouched against the wall from the blast and makes a terrible smile. "A hunter always finishes the kill." With his sword still in front of him acting as a shield Varius puts away the ranged aspect of Umbra and hops over the slab of concrete he pulled out. Varius begins to rush toward the officer at full force aiming to slam him with the broad side of his blade and to crush him between the wall.

Noticing his opponents taking him easy he decides to get a bit more serious. "Keeping your distance eh?" Minos said as he lifts a large slab of concrete about roughly the size of two men that flew off the wall when he crashed threw it a while earlier. "Take this!" He yelled as he throws the slab at the shooters. Immediately after throwing his makeshift projectile, Minos starts running towards them again but in the direction where the shooter nearest the wall would probably dodge to, flaring out his semblance for massive force if he hits.

"Well, she's not FIXED yet, I finished working on her arm though. When she's ready to go she'll go." Carolynn answered before starting to poke inside Milly's chest hole, reaching in with her hand and doing her best to maneuver around the sharp edges, plucking out all the loose parts and wiring to be put back together inside the robot. Gotta hand it to them, this ain't exactly the simplest circuitry around.

The guard reflexively raises his arm to defend himself as the flat of Varius' blade slams his head into the wall. Given his helmet protected his head from most of the trauma. Behind the lion faunus, a gun clicks. As the first swat member grabs hold of Varius' sword, gripping the hilt, the other empties his pistol at Varius' exposed back. Meanwhile, right behind him the fight with Minos continues. The flying rock is easily dodged, the three SWAT officers rolling to the side and behind the hulking man. The one closest to the wall did not have a particularly good view though, blocked by the slab of concrete. Not seeing the charging man, Minos slams his shoulder into his chest, catching him as the two others shoot at the backs of his knees.

"Ok! Just hurry!" Maria said, leaning her back against the sword as she reloaded once more. She had about half of her ammo left, a few magazines lying on the floor. She was sporting a wound on her calf now, in addition to the one on her shoulder. The police officers caught on to her strategy, taking turns to keep her hiding as the approached. "I don't care if she can fight. Just get her patched up and get her out of here!"

Carol looked out at the mess with Maria, "Okay, okay. I guess I can ignore the combat parts. Here, I'll even lend a hand." Carol picked up Crutchshot and pressed a few buttons on it, throwing it out. The machine whizzed as it landed by Maria, but it quickly shifted into a tripod stance, the wheel of barrels facing the cops. It beeped once, then another time, then started firing rapidly towards the approaching lawmen.

Carol, meanwhile, got to work faster - with dangerous edges out of the way, she started rewiring what looked like Milly's basic functions together, going at it really fast from years of practice. Finishing up in around a minute, she decided to grab a few metal pieces and turn them into a makeshift cover for the hole. "Okay, now to turn you on..." Carolynn started poking around until she found what felt like a switch on the side of Milly's head. Shrugging, she turned it off, then back on.

Eyes returning to life, Milly's hand first goes to the hole through her chest, recognising that she had been fixed. Then looking at Carol, she lets out a small noise akin to a sigh and gets up, "I could of just been rebooted... Afterwards, she gets up and, upon hearing the gunfire, realises what has happened and looks for Maria. Heading for the gunfire, she spots her 'mother' and her injuries, automatically requesting assistance from her creator before starting towards the police attacking her, sword coming out as she uncharacteristically disregards her serious weaknesses to try and protect the two, "Engaging hostiles. Keep clear, Maharani."

Now having a target in reach, Minos reaches out and gets a good hold of the officer by his neck and makes a rough turn towards the wall and starts breaking through laterally in line with it while sending the body out in front to receive the full force of the impact. Noticing a few bullets flying towards him he ignores it and continues with his rampage, letting the bullets deflect upon hitting him even from behind.

Varius lets out a roar of pain as the bullets hit his armor and push the metal against his skin. A look of absolute hatred and killing intent fills his eyes and he turns around with great speed. He cloak sweeps across his back and covers the SWAT member's face. With his prey's vision obstructed Varius grabs him by the throat and slams his face first into the ground. Though the helmet protects him from most of the damage it has left him in the perfect position for Varius. Varius brings his foot as high as he can and slams it back down toward the SWAT member. He aims for the back of the man's neck hoping to snap it. As he finishes his stomp he turns toward the other member and brings his foot up once more but this time kicks it forward against his blade slamming the officer further into the wall trying to immobilize him as Varius prepares for the killing blow with a blood thirsty smile.

At the site of the turret, the police officers duck behind a large pile of debris that had fallen off the side of the building. Ducking behind cover, they wait for the turret to stop firing, guns at the ready.

"Oh no, young lady." Maria said in a stern motherly tone as she walked back to the robot, keeping her sword/shield behind her as she holstered her guns and put both hands firmly on Milly's shoulders, pushing her back. "You are going back behind that dumpster and sitting down, you understand me?" She growled, wincing both at the pain in her shoulder and the little movement in Milly's arm right where Carolynn had reattached her. "Now sit here and stay put. And give me that." She said, pushing her to sit on the ground next to Carolyn as she grabbed her sword. Hefting it in her hand, she swung the massive blade as if it were nothing, used to the immense weight of her own sword. Giving it one final twirl, she stalks towards the police officers.

Without so much as a pained grunt, the man in Minos' hand becomes a corpse, blood trickling onto the bull faunus' hand from his chest. Seeing their comrade die, the SWAT redouble their efforts, firing at the nape of his neck while of them throws two granades between the hulking man's legs.

With a low gurgle, blood dripping from his lips, the SWAT officer joins the corpse of his companion, leaving the last SWAT member pinned against the wall by Varius' sword. Taking his last resort he draws his pistol and bends his arm at an awkward angle, emptying his magazine into Varius' stomach and chest.

Almost as immediate as Maria had turned around, Milly was back on her feet, stating with slight irritation, "Primary objective override. Authority of designation 'Maharani' suspended until all hostiles are rendered silent. Updated modus operandi." Already moving towards the tripod, she grabs it rather roughly and keeps it aimed to suppress the police as she moved towards them, growling into a private feed with ICEA, completely different to her previous personality, "Turn into a machine gun or I will rip your legs off and use you like this. Do as I say and I will allow your creator to live after touching me without consent."

"Well that's kind of rude."
"Well that's kind of rude."

Carolynn rolled her eyes and huffed as Milly picked up the turret without permission, ICEA not sounding happy when he was threatened. In one fast motion it turned to aim at her and fire one bullet just past her nose before turning back towards the cops. "She got consent from the bear woman over there, so shut your face. I could also turn off at any time just to **** you over. I'm going to turn into a machine gun because I want Carol to be out, even if she was nice enough to fix your sorry ass. Oh, by the way, you're holding the wrong part. Grab the handle." he retorted before switching properly to machinegun mode, the tripod she held now being the back of him.

Varius lets out an even more pained roar compared to the last as a small line of blood drips down from under his chest plate. The bullet did not completely pierce it but did indent the metal far enough to break the skin. Varius snarls at the SWAT member and takes hold of his arm. He brings it downward in a quick motion and causes an terrible snapping sound. Underneath his shirt there is a odd bump. Blood runs down his sleeve and covers his glove. With the target distracted by pain, Varius takes hold of Umbra and pulls it off the man. He raises the massive blade over his head and brings it crashing back down towards the officer ending his existence. Varius takes a moment to breathe and leans against the wall where the officer was pinned. He moves his hand over his plate and uses his semblance to smooth out the damage caused by the gun.

Continuing his charge against the wall with the dead man's corpse, Minos throws him aside noting the blood gushing out and grins upon knowing the success of his attack. Noticing the grenades dropping at his feet, he gives a dull sigh before it explodes, flinging him back a few meters until he slide against the concrete floor, giving a dull screeching sound inside his armor. As he gets up he wipes his hand across his helmet, wiping off the soot from his visor before inspecting his armor, luckily he was still moving as the grenades were thrown albeit slowing down. Minos gets up and glares at the remaining enemies through his visor, starting his charge again at full force, flaring out his semblance to the extent of cracking the ground beneath his feet as he ran.

Maria didn't wait for Milly to arrive, immediately dispatching the police officers. Running forwards, she sinks the Milly's long blade into one of their shoulders, immediately withdrawing to bury it in his stomach. Using Milly's cover fire, Maria quickly takes down the remaining officers, the robot's sword left bloody and sizzling as she stood over the corpses, clutching her right bicep to cover the new bullet that was buried in her flesh.

As Varius attends to his wounds, a sound coming from the front courtyard of the factory would catch his attention. If he looked up, he would notice a 6 squad cars and four SWAT vans screech to a halt, each having four and six officers respectively. Meanwhile, the building's collapse continued, the rumble of falling brick and metal lurching audible through the ongoing explosions.

Noticing how he was affected by the grenade, the SWAT's hands move to the barrel attached to the undersides of their rifles, pulling the separate triggers to launch two grenades at him, one at his chest and one at his feet, before diving out of his way.

Growling as she gets shot by ICEA, upon registering the group behind the rubble had been killed, she grabs the machine gun by the barrel and holds him like a bat, walking and saying to Maria with her ever growing anger leeching into her voice, only doing a scan to see if any of her wounds were fatal after she had received the order to, "Give me my weapon, Imperatrix is on her way. Which means you can either listen to what I say, or I can state how you tried to usurp her authority over me.. If I allow you to survive the javelin." With that, she snatches her sword and turns away and starts walking to the sound of the other fighting, stating passively, "Besides. I am the one made for combat, you are just a pile of flesh held up by a weak skeleton, if deemed compatable to Imperia's requirements. Just leave the real work to the grown ups, why don't you?" With that, she continues walking, one hand holding Finality out, the other holding ICEA as a bat.

The grenades explode as Minos continues his charge, leaving a trail of smoke and fire blazing in it's wake. As the smoke clears out Minos rushes past roaring, "Those tiny explosions won't work on me, tiny humans!". As Minos closes the distance between him and the SWAT team, the immediate area around him seems to experience immense force, as if a constant pressure emanated from his force field, causing the ground to crack and depress slightly and any debris near him to be flung away. Now flaring out his semblance even more, Minos charges with enough force to break anything that gets in his way. "Is that all you got!"Minos roared as he headed straight for the remaining officers, running even faster than earlier and closing the distance between them with utmost ferocity.

Varius looks past the corner and notices the huge gathering of SWAT and police officers. "Dammit! What a wasted day." He grabs Umbra and checks its dust levels. "All out of repulsion that just leaves lightning and fire." Varius makes a small grin. "Still can have a lot of fun with that." While still behind the cover, Varius pulls on Umbra's grip and transforms the massive sword into its cannon mode. He prepares the fire dust and moves the cannon out of cover aimed at the squad cars and SWAT vans. He pushes the grip in toward the blade firing the flame dust towards the vehicles. He repeats this twice more, emptying his fire dust reserves and awaits for the coming explosions.

Carolynn narrowed her eyes when Milly carried ICEA like a bat. Not even going to say anything about it, I'll just charge the owner later for theft. she shrugged and started tinkering with her prosthetics without taking them off, in hoped of getting them slightly fixed before she was in the clear.

"Would you listen to me you idiot, grab me by THE HANDLE, there's no use in me being used like this. I thought AI had something to do with Intelligence dammit."
