Name: Ivan Blood
Age: 17, April 7th
Gender: Male
Appearance: 5’8” 130 lbs pale, wears black slacks and shoes, midnight blue hair (#333366), black vest with white stripes, orange suspenders (#FF9933)
Personality: Thinks using logic and reasoning, disliking those who let their emotions who let their emotions get the best of them. Very internal with his thoughts and opinions. Likes to plan ahead and being prepared yet is very bad at expressing himself and those who haven’t known him long can’t understand his convoluted descriptions and rants (which he it very prone to do). Very compassionate and understanding yet is very hesitant to talk about how he feels. He’s a perfectionist and obsessed with efficiency.
History: When he was just seven years old his (mentally unstable) father cruelly tortured Ivan’s mother to death right in front of him and his siblings. All whilst shouting about how anything with even the slightest imperfection is not worth the effort of fixing and undeserving of life itself. This is quite possibly the reason Ivan is obsessed with perfection, Ivan was forced to live under his father for three years after this. His father would destroy anything Ivan liked if he got a B in school or would beat him if he spoke improperly or for other such things. After living with these horrors for three years Ivan’s youngest brother snapped and attacked their father, the fight didn’t last long. Father was very strong and never held back, Ivan’s younger brother did do a pretty good round on him though and because it was done in the main part of the household and not in the basement (like his mother) the neighbors could hear most of it. People Ivan never even seen began to flood the household, grabbing onto his father, beating him, calling him things Ivan had never heard, and eventually Ivan’s father was left to bleed out. After living with a neighbor for about a month, Ivan’s eldest brother took him and what was left of his other siblings in. It was hard for Ivan to adjust, years with abuse and years without his younger brother (who was his only friend) took a toll on him. Negative reinforcement was the only form of motivation Ivan had all of his life, and losing the only person he could even remotely talk to would scar him as well. Not knowing that doing good would result in any sort of reward, Ivan’s grades and morals became shaky. He failed every assignment he got and feared the Faunus just as his father did (although he wasn’t so violent nor vocal about it), but when he turned thirteen his brothers took him to visit their newly discovered grandfather. They had been struggling to get by for three years and had been looking for family to help them out, then they somehow became lucky and found their sweet grandfather. Though he wasn’t a rich man (quite the opposite actually) he loved his grandchildren and treated them when he could, they felt spoiled after living off of nothing for so long. Grandfather quickly became someone Ivan could talk to and trust, he treated Ivan (as well as the other boys) whenever they did good whether in school or in life. Ivan’s grandfather rid him of his fear of the Faunus as well, he told about how they were people too who had struggled just as Ivan did, he told Ivan of his best friends who happened to be faunus, and that they were hospitable and kind. Ivan always felt so loved and appreciated when with his grandfather and he became a better, smarter, stronger person under his care. After his grades (as well as his morals and priorities) recovered thanks to his grandfather, Ivan joined Beacon Academy. In the Initiation Exam Ivan used the trees and rolled to break his fall because he read about in a book, then Ivan got partnered with a girl named Emerald. Ivan was glad to be paired with her, not only because he was glad to have the chance to make a friend or that she seemed nice but also because he heard the stories about how she lived in the forest for so long which gave them an advantage. She was great at navigating the forest and fighting the ursa, even teaching Ivan how to take them down. Everything was going smoothly before a huge ursa with a scar over it’s right eye appeared, we fought it but it was terrifyingly tough. Emerald started to break down and Ivan tried to comfort her to almost no avail, but then he convinced her to get up and start running, eventually they found the chess pieces and then they saw another group. Ivan remembered them from earlier in the day, their names were Violet an Jakob. They were partnered together and the four fought the giant ursa and the others it brought with it. After the battle they began talking and formed team JIVE.
Strength: Good at strategizing and psychoanalysis making him a wonderful diplomat and even better at manipulation, has a love for science and engineering, and very well read
Weakness: anything that has to do with social situations, very weary with money, loses track of time easily and has horrible OCD and ADD
WEAPON
Name: Paradigm Lance
Primary Form: Black Tommy Gun with blue highlights with a large drum magazine, in certain cases (only where it’s absolutely necessary though) he’ll use special drum magazines equiped with dust
Secondary Form/Function: Handheld Buzzsaw with a 24’ blade, but modified with a chainsaw handle because range on a buzzsaw is terrible. Used for melee combat, but also other uses like taking down obstacles and doors.
History: Though he inherited the tommy gun from his grandfather that’s where that part ends, Ivan put the old tommy gun on the shelf and began to make countless weapons. Most of which were terrible though some were better than others. In a moment of desperation he took the outdated gun and fixed and modified it. Ivan adored it, and thought it was the best he could possibly get so he logically decided to keep it.
