Name: Scarlet Susaki

Symbol: A light red background, with a black silhouette of a small, humanlike creature wielding a bow with an arrow ready to fire.

Appearance: Fairly small, Scarlet is only 5'1 and 105lbs. She looks sickly with very pale skin and very little body fat. Light brown hair worn in a simple straight cut with bangs that goes down to her shoulderblades. Wide, bright green eyes give her an odd, inhuman look in low light. Outside of battle she will usually wear warm clothing such as her brown sweater and boots, but on the field she wears a large leather coat and boots, black leather leggings and a mask of similar colors that covers everything but her eyes.

Personality:
Scarlet is a strategist, not a skirmisher. Quiet and reserved, she still maintains politeness with everyone she meets. People tend to avoid her because of her "oddities" such as her constant blunt truths, her inability to pick up on subtlety,
and her attachments to those who are even slightly friendly to her and her remarkable deduction skills.

History:
Scarlet comes from a family of hunters, all of the women having wielded her bow. Scarlet herself is not particularly interested in the bow, but as an only child she was forced to go to Beacon to learn how to properly use the powerful weapon. Scarlet has very little interest in fighting but in the school itself, and what secrets it hides.

Strength:
Quick thinking, sound deduction skills along with a keen eye. She understands basic human impulses and can usually predict them.

Weakness:
Weak in close range combat, very fragile and injured easily. Little to no social skills.

WEAPON

Name: The Lovers

Primary Form: A bow and quiver. The bow is wooden and engraved with mythical creatures such as fairies and dragons flying across the top half of the bow, and dryads and centaurs on the bottom. The top end is a dragon's maw closed around the hole that the string extends from, with the rest of the dragon curling across the bow. The bottom end is a dryad wrapping her arms around the string. The quiver is two pieces of wood connected by leather straps, with another dragon curling around the quiver. When stored on her back, the two dragons from the bow and the quiver  will connect in a 'kiss'. The bow itself has its own aura supply, which cannot be tapped but has healing properties* for the wielder over time. The arrows are iron, but colored as gold. There are four types of arrows, normal, fire dust arrows which can cause minor to severe burns, ice dust arrows which will coat the area in ice upon impact, and black dust* arrows that will not lose their initial momentum until impact.

Secondary Form/Function:
Although it has no secondary effects, the arrows are shaped in such a way they can be used as small daggers in close combat. The dust effects are greatly reduced to little to none, but the fire arrows can be used to start a fire.
History:
The Lovers are an ancient artifact, passed from mother to daughter. 'The Lover' was formed by the first of the Susaki famiy, as a tribute to her great-great-great and so on grandmother by her lover. As they were trapped in a forbidden romance and could not bear to live without eachother, they poured their aura and souls into the bow to stay together forever.


*Healing: The regenerative process is fairly slow. A deep wound that would require stitches would take ~6 hours to heal, with another few days for the injury to vanish completely. Small cuts and bruises will heal fairly quickly, however. Fatal injuries will be slowed, but will eventually kill her regardless.
*By black dust, I mean the things like the gravity pull Weiss did to launch Ruby in ep 8. If it turns out to be something else I will change it appropriately.

Good post but one question. Why not just heal yourself with your own aura? This way you don't have to be holding your bow in order to heal and we already know that your own aura can heal you. Also, you need a soul to have aura. Bows don't have souls. If you insist on this however, I see no problem with it. I just wanted to give you the option.

Yes, healing with aura is optimal and usially preferred, the minor regeneration allows her to not to consume aura for minor injuries, and to slow down the threat of major ones. Just a bit of a side ability to go with her tracker/sniper fighting style.
