To Prepare for Battle [Closed]

Ripping her arm out of his grip, Hira shoves herself off the assassin. She passes the blade back to Kokkino and drives a powerful kick into his ribs before walking down the hallway towards the barracks. "Deal with him please."

Minoru clutched his ribs, rolling around on the floor giggling
"Oh, this is too funny" he sat up and poised hins fingers over the detonators on his pistols "I've fired around three dozen rounds into the walls, floor and ceiling AND YOU'VE ALL FORGOTTEN!" he wiped tears of laughter from his eyes "oh I'll never tire of you Hunters... so thick, it's brilliant" he clicked the buttons in the grips and the room became filled with fire as the shells detonated.

Jacob's eyes widened as Minoru went for the switches. You will not kill her without pause Jacob leaped forwards, knocking Hira to the ground and shielding her from the blast.

Hira squeezed her eyes shut as she hit the ground, feeling the heat wave wash over her.

Kokkino got blown back through the hall as shrapnel pierced her abdomen, her blades clanking to the floor. As she hit the wall she felt something inside of her break, eliciting a cry of pain.

Clad in his tattered soot stained suit and with severe burns across his exposed skin, Minoru straightened up, laughing uncontrollably. His bizarre semblance making it feel as though he was being tickled as opposed to have lost an entire layer of skin. He whipped out Hardy and pointed it at Jacob's back
"Nighty night wolfy."

Kokkino pushed herself up, trickles of blood coming from her stomach as she slowly picked up her blades. Stepping towards Minoru the Blademaster slowly builds up speed until she jumps and spins toward him, her blades extending and igniting once more.

Minoru rolled out of the path of the blades, howling with laughter as another jolt of pain was converted.
"Screw this, I'll just blow up a hospital" Minoru cackled, cocking his head to one side, inspecting Kokkino briefly before hurling himself through the window and vanishing into the night.

Hira gently wiggled out from under Jacob. "You guys okay?"

With a clang Twin Riptides fall to the floor. Putting a hand over her mouth and stomach, Kokkino starts coughing, blood staining her bandages.

Jacob straightened up
"I'm fine" he grunted, staring out of the gaping window and into the blackness. Then he caught sight of Kokkino "Jesus" he darted forwards and offered the girl an arm for support "easy there, take it slow."

Hira rushes over and supports Kokkino from the other side. "Let's get you to the infirmary." She mumbles.

Kokkino squints as her vision starts to blur. "Yes... the infirmary..." She whispers with her normal voice.

Jacob lifts Kokkino into his arms and gestures forwards with his head
"Lead the way Hira, I'll carry her" the wolf's expression had turned rather quickly from one of shock and worry to vengeful fury in the space of less than a minute.

The dragoness rushes along the hallways until they get to the infirmary, only the combat medics in the room.

Jacob jogged down the corridors, following in Hira's footsteps. He reached the infirmary and laid Kokkino down on one of the beds. The medics rushed forwards and shoved the wolf out of the way, going immediately to their work.

Hira steps back and looks towards Jacob worriedly. "All we can do now is wait."

Jacob gritted his teeth
"I hate waiting" he snarled "as soon as I get my hands on those bastards at Gafflynder..." His fists clenched.

Gently setting her hand on his shoulder, Hira turns towards the door. "Come on, let's get some rest before tomorrow."

Jacob nodded, hating the fact that they had not only lost Minoru, but also that he had left Kokkino down. He could have protected both of them. His semblance had kept himself and Hira, logic suggested the same could have gone for Kokkino if he'd been fast enough.

Hira takes his hand and pulls him along with her into the hall. "Come one Jacob. Stop thinking about it and let's get rested up." She says as she drags him towards the barracks.

"Yeah" he grunted, forcing the worries to the back of his mind, and allowed Hira to drag him around the complex.
