Formation of the Beacon Guard

Around Beacon's campus, a notice has appeared. A copy is in the inbox of every student and faculty member.

In light of recent incidents involving violent outbursts, property destruction, and other breaches of order here at Beacon, Beacon administration and the City of Vale have agreed on the formation of a standing security service here at the academy. This new Beacon Guard will be coming into place over the next few days. Students and staff are encouraged to go to the Beacon Guard should you witness any further breaches of order or criminal activity within the campus. Volunteers for the service may apply in the administration office, but all applicants must pass an interview, background check, and aptitude test administered by a Beacon staff member or official from Vale.

Men and women in uniform have begun to appear on campus, keeping watch to prevent further... incidents. Beacon Guard uniforms consist of a thigh-length navy blue coat that serves as light body armor, and long navy-blue pants with black boots. The insignia of Beacon Academy is on the right shoulder, and the City of Vale's on the other. Beacon Guard invariably wear opaque black visors that serve as Scroll overlays, and headsets.

The standard-issue equipment for Beacon Guard duty is the Electroshock Laser Channel Baton, a mass-produced less-lethal weapon nicknamed Sanctioned Force. It takes the form of a police baton, with an electric dust cartridge in the handle. In addition to applying a debilitating electric shock on impact, this dust is also used in the secondary mode, where a laser in the tip creates a laser induced plasma channel to guide a stunning electric discharge to strike a target at range.

It appears that Beacon's tolerance of destructive rampages has hit its limit, and while the Beacon Guard have orders not to escalate things unnecessarily and give warnings to stand down, they will not hesitate to fire upon those involved in an incident.


Players wishing to have characters join the Beacon Guard must do so through an in-character thread, with the staff member or official involved played by a mod/admin.

It was probably more so about all the stuff blowing up in school due to uncontrollable students.

Do the student participating in the Guard have to use the Sanctioned Force as their main weapon? Or can they use their own gears, like armor or alike? If it's the latter, then I'm signing up for my Sylvian

Mockingbird was pretty serious but we were far from the first team to start raising hell.
