It's not like I WANT your help or anything. [CLOSED]

When she opened the door, he was standing there. Cannons spread in wing configuration. Hand slightly raised. Visor staring mercilessly down upon her.

Leonius clenched his fist, snarling as a barrier formed around Viola's neck. "... How fortunate... that my dorm room stands so close... to CAKE's... I needed little time to arrive... after hearing through her implants..." Slowly, he raised his hand, Viola raising with it. "... that which causes everything... to fall into place..."

... Oh. That's why she hinted at being careful. Glancing at the cyborg in front of her, Viola can't help but smile at one of his comments. "You bought her implants? Weird, I couldn't tell any difference... are you sure you didn't get ripped off?" A sudden thought pops in her head, and she has to ask something else. "Does Isabelle know you're off buying other girls presents? I don't think she'd be very fond of that idea..."

Leonius merely stared at her, silently, for a full minute, before he chuckled.

"... Clever..."

It was all he said, before he shook his head at her.

"... Is this why... you got close..." Slowly, the barrier tightened. "... Were you... gauging your target..?" The field began squeezing, making breathing slightly difficult. "When we were... together... were you waiting... for a weak point to show..?"

He stepped inside and closed the door, slamming Viola face-first against the wall as he turned.

"... It does not matter... There is no 'we' anymore... There is only a would-be assassin... and someone..." His other hand went to one of her arms, and with cold precision and little effort, broke it. "... Whose affections for you... stand but cold memory..."

Wincing at the breaking in her arm, Viola clenches her teeth for a moment before using her Semblance to spread the pain to the rest of her body, completely nullifying it. Releasing her jaw, she relaxes for a moment before speaking again. "Originally, yeah, that was the reason. After I actually got to know you? I realized that doing anything to attempt to physically hurt you would just be a waste of everyone's time. And I actually developed feelings for you too. Feelings which persisted, even after you picked Isabelle over me." Clear contempt in her voice when she forces Isabelle's name out this time, Viola has hatred swirling in her eyes.

"At that point though, it was clear to me you didn't feel the same. So I had no reason to stay at Beacon, and I had actually planned on leaving. It would have been impossible for me to stay around at that point, if it wasn't for Chiu. And if it wasn't for her, I would have been dead shortly after we got back from that expedition. So go ahead and kill me if you'd like, and see if it changes anything inside you. See if you'll feel any guilt over killing someone who cares for you, and see if you'll feel any guilt for destroying someone else's already fragile mind. I already know what the result will be, but you're tempted to find out, aren't you?"

Frowning at the commotion, it would be rather evident she was getting irritated by this. Getting up off the bed, she would twirl the necklace with the spearhead around her hand, "Can we not do this in my room? If you break Arthur's round table then he will blame me and I will get in trouble again. That said, if someone came from the Guard and found blood on the floor, that also would not turn out well." With that she would walk to her bed, taking out Lamentation from the covers and unsheathing it rather loudly, "So can we just talk about this and not try and break every limb in each others body?"

Leonius was silent. He didn't respond to Aoife, not even casting a glance in her direction. His full attention was on Viola.

"... And yet how quickly... you cast me aside... without question... on suspicion of a thing that did not come to pass... until after you tore heart... from chest..." His eye closed under the helmet. "... Because I did not have the luxury... of not giving thought to actions... You were not... %#&@ing FORGOTTEN... but you had already... come to conclusion..."

The barrier's hold on her neck loosened a bit, as Leonius's posture relaxed slightly.

"... Not a single $@%&ing thought was given... to seeking any other explanation... from the man you supposedly care for... when I did not want... to jeopardize your health... when you fell... you still thought to paint me... betrayer..." His natural right hand shook slightly. The metal left was still. When he opened his surviving eye, he found it blurred by tears, but the artificial sensors were sharp. But he would not let the machine dictate her fate. "... You say... that I chose Isabelle... of you... but it was your hand... your word... that ended 'us' Viola... and now... you attempt to leverage this past... to what end?"

Slowly, his head turned to Aoife.

"... The Beacon Guard stands... no issue, Aoife... Additionally... you forgot something..."

It was a short statement, before Leo's visor turned back to Viola.

Taking a few deep breaths and swallows as the barriers around her neck loosen slightly, Viola calmly closes her eyes before opening them and responding, emotions entirely unreadable. "From my view of things, I was forgotten. I understand the medical reasons behind it now, but at the time all I saw was you walking towards someone else, without a word sent my way. "

Taking another breath, partially in case her next words anger him further, and partially because she needed it, she sighs as she realizes she's using too much energy to to reduce the pain from the arm. Focusing slightly, she moves the majority of the pain to her stomach, figuring it's easier to deal with there. Taking another deep breath, she steadies herself. "I know I overreacted. I realized that so soon after the entire thing, but at that point I felt it was too late to approach you. I was still hurt by your actions, and even if I had given you time to explain yourself that feeling would never have gone away. And I honestly don't know why I'm telling you. I'm sure at this point you've realized that even with someone to live for, I act as stupid as ever. If you kill me, so be it. If not... then, I don't know. My fate lies entirely in your hands now."

Not backing down, the blade would have one of the four different types of dust inside activated, the blade turning blood red as a response, "I am well aware where I stand in this, and I am also aware that killing them will not help with it.." Taking a deep breath afterwards, she would go to stand next to them, sword pointed towards the floor, "Which is why I request you do the damage you would do to her, to me instead."

"... No, Viola... your fate does not lie... solely in mine..." He sighed. "... You have admitted... to being sent to assassinate... a Patriarch of one of Pilum's... great Houses... And I am nothing... if not a loyal son... of Holy Pilum..."

Slowly, the visor turned back to Aoife.

"You misunderstand... The Beacon Guard... will not be getting involved... For the same reason... I was able to usurp your case... and implement the state of Servus Poenae you now occupy..." Slowly, Viola lowered so her feet could touch the ground. "... Part of Pilum's treaty with Vale... to enable diplomatic exchanges... Crimes against certain officials... of both states... can be usurped by that state's... legal system... An issue that came about... from old days when assassination was a matter of politics... within Pilum... and Pilorum within Vale... had to worry about being beaten to death... by the families of raid victims..."

For a moment, Leonius was silent, and completely still.

He didn't look at Viola when he spoke to her next. "... Who gave you... this job... Tell me... and at the very least... I will protect..." He took a deep breath. "... Chiu... from retaliation..."

He said her name with a touch of bitterness.

Relaxing slightly as her feet touch the ground, Viola takes another deep breath before replying, a hint of doubt in her voice. "I can provide that information... and much, much more, but what reason do I have to believe you?"

Stretching her unbroken arm briefly, she uses it to inspect the breaks in the other, before frowning. They weren't as bad as she was expecting, though still a rather large annoyance. Glancing back to Leonius, she rolls her eyes. "I can provide with you the entire list of targets I... eliminated, for my client. I can provide you with her name, places of residence, and possibly something else. But in return, I want you to guarantee both my safety, as well as Chiu's. I may have admitted to being sent for that task, but I also made no move to actually complete the task. I don't intend to, either, though I wouldn't blame you if you didn't believe that part."

Putting the sword away and clambering onto a bed, she would still be just short of Leo as she leans over, rubbing where she assumes to be his back in an effort to keep him calm, her voice trying to be as calming as possible, "Hey now. Surely this can be swept under the carpet? There is no need for anyone to do anything. If Viola had tried anything in my presence she would've failed. Chiu as much as I loathe her, is not a part of this and it is true she had enough chances but did nothing..." With that, she would mutter, "Like give me advice on if my dress for the ball looks good.."

Slowly, Leo looked at Aoife. "... No, Aoife... This cannot merely be... swept under the rug... and the Frumentarii are likely... to target Chiu on matter of principle..."

He closed his eye, taking a deep breath.

"... I cannot ensure your safety... Chiu's can be more secured... by using position as Dominus Domus... of the Great House of Decimus... But her relationship to you... makes her a viable target... in the eyes of the Senate..." He crossed his arms. "The official default punishment... for conspiring to assassinate... a Patrician of rank... anyone in the first thirty seats... of a Great House... is Tormentum Poena... judicial torture... usually ending in crucifixion... or slow dismemberment at the hands... of a Carnifex... In many cases... the immediate family... or relations of the damned... are similarly dragged down... Though rarely to the same extent... as the most guilty party... It has been a long time... since assassination was in favor... as a political tool... for this very reason..."

He approached Viola, taking hold of her chin and forcing her to look up at an uncomfortable angle as he towered over her.

"... I cannot guarantee your safety... to an extent you would prefer... and I can only protect Chiu... with your cooperation... Give it... and I will ensure you avoid the damnation... I have mentioned..." He took another deep breath. "... You will likely claim... that this information is a bargaining chip... for your side... but the Frumentarii... already know of it... They will capture both of you... and knowing now of your attachment... to her... you will hear the one you chose... as beloved scream under the agony... of direct pain induction... even while you suffer the same... until they get what they want..." He let go of her chin, shaking his head. "... This is not... a threat... it is a simple statement... built upon knowing how... the Frumentarii and Senate... operate... I am not so heartless... as to dangle the one you chose... over me in front of you... But if I cannot take charge of matters... personally... it will fall solely to Reaper... And he will act with the blessing... of the Senate... something even my position... cannot shake..."

Shaking out the slight cricks in her neck from the awkward position, Viola reviews her options... trying to avoid thinking about the parts that have anything to do with Chiu. Considering her fiancee's safety was paramount,  it was a pretty easy choice. She was still reluctant, however, considering she didn't really trust Leonius either. It was all a waste of her time though. She knew she really had no choice or leverage, it was just wishful thinking. "As long as you can absolutely promise me Chiu's safety above anything else, I'll comply with your requests. This, however, is not the place for it." Gesturing to the dorm, and school itself, really, she hoped her meaning was clear.

"I also have to recover the documents from one of my holding locations... which will take a little bit of time, as it's outside of the city limits. You have to realize that I compiled all of this information from memory, as my employer does not keep documents anymore. I will need... maybe four hours? Then we can meet somewhere in the city. You can send Aoife with if you'd like to keep an eye on me, but I'd prefer to go alone." She finishes with a sigh, rather disappointed that it had to come to this.

Frowning at the fiasco, she would stop trying to be calm, moving to her bed and rummaging under it, taking out an unmarked box, "I too think this is a bad place for your fighting. All this occurring when all I wanted was help with talking to someone and showing Viola my stuff for the ball! She isn't going to run away, so can we all stop trying to break each other's limbs?"

"... Limb breaking stopped... after the first..."

Leo's visor turned away from both of them, and he released the field around Viola's neck.

"... Tell me where... this cache is... I will send Reaper after it... to make clear the fact... that I am managing this situation... not him..." He looked toward the bathroom, someone who had not been there minutes before vanishing from view. Leonius smiled under the mask. "... The more you tell me... the easier this will be... for everyone involved..."

He looked back at Aoife, nodding.

"... And then... I have a job for you... Aoife... You will escort Viola... to the infirmary... to have that arm taken care of... I leave whatever lie or truth... you tell to your own discretion..."

Taking a moment to stretch and crack some sore bones, Viola rolls her eyes at his suggestion. "It's not exactly that easy... I mean, you could bring the safe to me, I guess. However, it's protected by vocal, retinal, and fingerprint scanners... you name it. I honestly think you're underestimating the amount of information I have."

Leaning against the wall, she releases her focus on the pain from her arm and just deals with it as is, knowing that much longer would probably be a big problem. "But at any rate, I'll tell you where the safe is. Two hours north from the main path in Forever Fall, you should spot a fairly large ravine. Inside the ravine, you should find a steel door on the southern wall. Brute force your way past the door, you find a trapdoor. Brute force your way down that, you'll find the safe. It's relatively small, contains one hundred and thirty documents related to Yvaine. None of which are the originals, mind you. Eighty-two of them are targets that I've taken care of for her. The remaining fifty-eight are related to the businesses and properties she owns or has a hand in. Her personal properties are included in that list, though may not be up to date. All of her personal information is in my head, and will be delivered at whatever date you see fit."

Taking the box out, she would place it on the bed before turning around when addressed, nodding to Leo and bowing politely, "Consider it done, Dominus." With that she would open the box and start rummaging inside, carrying on from her last train of thought, "Would be better if I lied, right? If so then I may have an idea what to say."

"... I do not doubt... that you protected it well... I doubt that you protected it... well enough..." Leonius nodded to Aoife as he turned. "... Handle the situation... as you two see fit... we will discuss this further... later..." Leo stopped, looking at Viola one more time. "... If you attempt to flee... or it is discovered that... you lied to me... and I cannot protect... Chiu..."

Without another word, Leonius left the dorm. His right-hand shook as he went back to his dorm, looking at the man inside without much emotion on his face under the mask.

Hidden Unimportant Stuff:

Rolling her eyes at his suggestion of lying, Viola frowns. "Nothing to lie about anymore... Is muttered under her breath, once the cyborg leaves the room.

Turning to Aoife, she glares at the other woman briefly before saying anything. "So... I can't decide if I want to blame you or your boyfriend for this entire mess. And I certainly don't want to bother going to the infirmary."

"Leo is not my boyfriend." Saying rather bluntly, Aoife walks up to her and pushes them straight onto the bed, her attention then going to a assessing the wound, her breath falling onto the victim due to her proximity, "If you don't want to go, fine. But then who will deal with your arm?"

"I wasn't talking about Leo. I place blame on Aphelion for drugging me at the first ball for my relationship with Leo ever happening. If that hadn't happened, he absolutely never would have found out about that assignment"

Groaning in mild irritation at Aoife's closeness, she rolls her eyes. "You act like I haven't had broken bones before. They're clean breaks, just need to be set and will heal within two days, less if I find someone that can heal. And I can set my own broken bones."

Simply moving her finger over to Viola's lips in an attempt to keep her silent, not moving from the arm even a single inch, "And you would still be trying to get your Intel due to his secrecy. Now I think I have some supplies for first aid, want me to help with the fixing?" After that, she would move her finger away somewhat, waiting for an answer.

"It's like I said... I very quickly decided that there was no point in even attempting it, for several reasons."

Snorting softly at Aoife's question, Viola sighs. "Sure, whatever."

Walking away from her, she would go to where she took out the box, rummaging before finding another with a large, medical cross on it. Bringing it over to Viola, she would pop it down next to her and look through the supplies, one arm going to keep the injured down, "We don't want you getting an infected arm, do we? I mean, I would just burn out the infection, but it would hurt if I did it to you."

Taking a deep breath and releasing it in just as deep of a sigh, Viola keeps still."Again... you make it seem like I've never had a broken bone or infection.. Anyway, pain is literally an illusion for me... or at least, can be. So doesn't matter."

Running her hand across the arm in an effort to try and find where it broke, she would sigh as well, "Listen. Is me trying to help you so hard to deal with? I know I have been hostile in the past, but that doesn't mean I am going to poison you or anything, if I wanted you dead I would've edged Leo on, or done it myself... Now, can you fix your arm enough so I can bandage it?"

Rolling her eyes yet again, Viola glances at the other woman before closing her eyes. "Two clean breaks. One upper, one lower. Like I said, feel free to do whatever."

Sinking back in to her thoughts for a moment, she frowns again. "At any rate... accepting your help isn't very hard, since it's pretty clear attempting to kill me would put you in a bad way with Leo now. Which reminds me. How the hell did you get yourself in to that kind of position?"
