| CHARACTERChosen Name: Hunter Thợ Săn Age: 18 years old as of Beacon Week 1. Birthdate is the 28th day of the 9th month, so he'll be 19 by Week 5. Gender: Male Crest, Appearance, and Weapon: - Spoiler:
Due to my inability to photoshop, I have whited out the head. Go to the Face Claim thread for his head. Swords are not to scale with the artwork.
6 foot 2 inches. 165 LB. On his left forearm is his arm-mounted tablet (more below) and a knife stored as his emergency backup weapon (more below) for when he doesn't have his sword, while on the right Hunter has an arm brace. On his hands are gloves with the fingers exposed from the second knuckle out, reinforced in the knuckles and the palms with steel shot that could easily break bones when punching or a nose if doing a palm-heel strike to the face. Under Hunter's jacket is usually a long sleeved grey tee shirt sponsoring his favorite band "The Wreckers," their energy drink "Energon," and the words "Wreck and Rule," the title of the band's greatest single. Hunter also has a single holster on his right leg that is constantly empty. No one knows why he keeps one when he doesn't even have a gun. He keeps two black dog tags on his neck, exposed to everyone, one with a blue silencer displaying his name, occupation, what Battle School he went to prior to Beacon, and the school's motto. The other one has a yellow silencer. When walking around with his main weapon, his sword hangs via a harness with a small but powerful electromagnet. Personality:
- Hunter is always looking out for his friends and family, he will protect anything at all costs.
- Has a habit of being overprotective sometimes.
- Will take command if a situation if necessary, but will yield to those of higher authority.
- He really hates people who act like 12 year olds.
- Hunter has always had a fascination with flying and racing.
- Will not kill any living being aside from the Grimm and bugs.
- Hunter hates using guns, but if he needs to, he will.
History:- Spoiler:
Born under a name he never liked, "Hunter" entered the world of Remnant in the farming valley of Cloud Atlas, a large island near the main area of the Atlas Kingdom. Living on a farm, there wasn't much for him to do except tend to the livestock, play with the only other child around for 100 miles, or train with his grandfather's sword-sword and shield. The training was necessary, since his war veteran grandfather, out of work since the Cloud Atlas army was disbanded, wasn't able to fight the two meter wide Nevermore Minors that attacked the cattle often. When they weren't training, however, Hunter and his friend would sit out in the field, either watching the birds circle around, or watch the stars and moon fragments as they drifted. The more times he watched the skies, the more he wanted to soar up in the sky with them, while his friend preferred to keep her feet on the ground. It was during these daydreams that she gave him the nickname "Azure Angel," even though he hated it.
A few years passed, and when he was 14, the Thợ Săns decided to loan their farm to a corporation, as long as they were in charge of the farm and received interest from whatever crops they harvested. Meanwhile, Hunter told his parents he wanted to become one of the Huntsmen that replaced the army of Cloud Atlas. Since the Thợ Săns were now making triple the money they were before, his parents agreed to send him to a Huntsman school in the mainland with his grandfather to watch over him. Hunter's friend also tagged along to become a Huntress. At Flare Hall, Hunter's high school, he continued to train with his grandfather's sword-sword and shield, unwilling to make his own weapon. He liked what he was using for years, so why would he give it up? At Flare, he became skilled in the art of fighting with a knife and pistol. He and his friend also learned some Aura healing skills. By giving up their own Aura, healers could transfer their own life force into those who were injured. This wasn't without limits, however. One could not cure cancer or reattach limbs, but they could cauterize wounds and make blood clot faster.
During Junior Year, Hunter, his grandfather, and his friend, now girlfriend, were returning to the valley for winter break when they saw that it was under attack by some cult. The three of them defended the farms successfully, but without cost. Aside from a few of the farmhands, Hunter's grandfather was killed fighting off the cultists. Unable to continue his classes, Hunter decided to go on a quest for the cult, looking to avenge his grandfather with the help of his girlfriend, going by the logic that destroying the head of the cult will end all the bloodshed. For seven months, they traveled across the planet, searching far and wide for them, and destroying several outposts along the way and extracting information through learning crude, yet effective means of torture. One night, however, while the two were out camping, looking at the moon's fragments drift around, a cultist ran by and took Hunter's girlfriend away. He pursued for several more months, only stopping when he reached the cult's base, hidden deep in the Frozen Forest. Hunter entered, managed to make it past their leader's guards, and killed their leader after he could not find his friend in there.
As their leader was dying on his blade, his last words were to ask "Hunter" what his name was. He replied with the words "The Hunter. Thợ Săn." Those words became his new alias. It wasn't a good name, but he believed it was better than what he was born with.
Hunter returned to Flare Hall to restart in his Junior year, where he decided to build his own set of weapons at Flare Hall. Since he skipped school for about a year and a half, he was 18 when he graduated; most graduates were only 17. Returning to the farming valley as well, he learned that when everyone was rebuilding, somehow his family became the owners of the entire valley, setting Hunter up with more than enough money to go to whatever graduate Hunting Battle School he wanted. After graduating from Flare, Hunter was accepted to Beacon Academy.
On weekends at Beacon, Hunter is seen constantly leaving the campus on Friday and returning early Monday morning, slightly past Midnight. No one is certain of where he goes or what he does. Strength:Being a prime athlete, Hunter is a fast runner and is able to endure jogging for several hours at a time. Due to practicing with a buster sword, his arm strength is enough to lift about a hundred pounds per arm. He is also strong boned, capable of smashing bricks with his forehead and knees. Since his weapon is also a set of wings, Hunter is able to withstand high altitudes without the aid of an oxygen tank. Weakness:Hunter is known to sometimes charge into battle without any second thought, but usually gets out with not very life-threatening injuries. His occasionally, but rarely endless mouth gets him singled out in a fight by both humans and Grimm. He also has an unusual fear of rabbits and horses, especially baby bunnies and little ponies. Faunas are fine, though. Aura Color and Semblance: Aero Blue, formerly Azure Blue. Hunter's Aura enables him to move quickly throughout the battlefield in all directions, whether jumping up, advancing forward, sidestepping, or retreating advancing backwards short distances. His afterimage and trail after a jump is a bunch of blue feathers. Using this ability more than three times in the same minute will be extremely taxing on him. (Example: Speed usage, although way too many times than what Hunter is able to do.) He was also learning how to heal others' wounds using his own Aura at Flare Hall, which drains his aura heavily, resulting in him hardly using it. It works by having him give up a part of his own Aura for the patient. Limited to non-major wounds (no decapitated limbs, no ruptured lungs, no stabbed hearts, etc). - Spoiler:
[23:10:12] Wrecker : Oy, Koop. I have an idea. [23:10:24] @ Kooplah : Go on... [23:10:30] Wrecker : Can I make Hunter know how to be an Aura healer? Explanation will be that his high school taught students how to use their aura to heal others. He can use that to do some good. [23:12:00] @ Kooplah : Sure. However I will say that I've been operating on the basis that aura healing is REALLY REALLY hard. So you can't do things like cure cancer and mend critical damage [23:12:31] @ Kooplah : This is for things like healing OTHERS though [23:12:46] @ Kooplah : Healing yourself is different and easier. Healing another person with your own aura is hard. [23:12:52] @ Kooplah : Does that sound fair you think? [23:14:38] @ Kooplah : It should be limited to like, healing minor wounds/stablizing people [23:14:48] @ Kooplah : ANd it should also be very taxing on the user. [23:14:57] @ Kooplah : But other than that, go for it. [23:15:26] Wrecker : Understood. [23:15:42] @ Kooplah : In general, I was thinking its something like 10:1 healing others, but 10:6 or so for healing yourself [23:15:52] @ Kooplah : To demonstrate how much less efficient it is [23:16:04] Wrecker : Well, now Hunter's a healer. [23:16:22] Wrecker : Gotta save this to Google Docs so people won't question me all the time... [23:16:46] @ Kooplah : Aura healing is hard unless its your semblance. [23:16:55] @ Kooplah : Because if EVERYONE has an aura, then everyone can heal. And that's bogus [23:17:11] @ Kooplah : And I may change my mind later Wrecker. [23:17:24] @ Kooplah : But it shouldn't be a problem when the combat system comes around [23:17:32] @ Kooplah : Because it'll be easy to setup so that its taxing on the user. EQUIPMENTaTab Scroll : Removable arm mounted tablet with 12G and unlimited data. Has a front facing camera so he can video call others. Infinity Lens, aka iLens : Similar to the Google Glass, this is portable stereoscopic Augmented Reality headset that’s wirelessly connected to the aTab. It can record videos via a built in lens that are used as the aTab's front camera. Hunter has modified his to add overlays on top of what he sees indicating heat signatures and night vision in real time, highlighting edges and where a heat signature is. Usually it’s used to listen to music and watch videos. Armor: Elbow pads, knee pads, shoulder pads, shin guards, steel lined gloves, and forearm guards. No helmet when driving his bike. WEAPON 1Name: Metaruhōku, or sometimes just Ruhōku. Design:A Wingbuster. Two blue and black airplane wings each a foot wide and 7 feet long. A grip in the middle is 2 feet long. The main sharp part of the blade is the thinner edge of the wings. There is a hinge where the wings fold together so the flat parts of the wings make the center of the buster sword form. The wings have an etching on both sides: "Wreck and Rule" on the left, "Flight or Fight" on the right. On the opposite side of the words there is a feathered wing etched in. In order to cut the wings go the opposite direction a wing usually goes. If he ever chooses to do so, however, Hunter may use the other edge of the sword as a bat of sorts. First Form: Buster Sword Second Form: Dual Buster Swords. Third Form/Function: Wings powered by Blue repulsion Dust similar to the Dark Trooper jump pack from Star Wars Battlefront History:With his parent's help, and the massive amount of money they were making back on the farm, Hunter set out to design his blade, giving it buttons to activate its Dust-based attacks. It also can use voice commands, since pressing buttons were too much of a hassle in mid fight. Keeping in mind his dreams of flight, the Metaruhōku is literally the black wing of death.
- In it's primary form, Metaruhōku is a 6 foot long one handed sword, with a two foot long grip. It's Dust core allows the sword to be as light as a feather when walking around or swinging it. However, when it's about to hit something, Hunter uses the Blue Repulsion Dust core to make it heavier for a more powerful blow.
- Fighting style is based on everyone who uses the Buster Sword in the Final Fantasy VII Collection.
- If it's time to fight a more serious battle, Metaruhōku unfolds to become a 9 foot long double ended sword with a grip two feet wide in the center. In this two-handed form, Hunter is all about going on the offense.
- Fighting style is based on Darth Maul when wielding both ends, the Klingon Batl'leth, and Sentinel Prime during the Battle of Chicago.
The voice commands and Dust abilities are as follows:
- "Transform" = activate transformation.
- "Boost" = activate Blue Dust to jump boost to fly, double jump, or swing faster.
- "Block" = activate Red Dust for blocking.
- "Blaze" = activate Red Dust for flaming sword mode.
- "Blast" = activates Red Dust for fireball attack. Performed by aiming the point of the sword.
- "Burn" = activates Red Dust for flaming sword beam attack. Performed by swinging the sword.
WEAPON 2/BACKUP WEAPONThe Nightblade. Not very flashy, it's just a telescoping knife with a blade hidden in his left forearm guard that extends out 11 inches/28 cm. Perfectly balanced. Hunter uses it either when he is in too small of a space to use his main weapon or when away from Metaruhōku. It's design is similar to an extending police baton, except the extending part is a blade. It doubles as his bike's keys and throttle when closed. It can also remotely call the bike to his location if he needs a quick getaway with the push of a button. To pull out the knife, Hunter either deploys it Assassin's Creed 3 style and holds it underhand in his left, or pulls it with his right hand. The VEHICLEName: Drifting Ronin Inspiration: Tron Evolution Gen-4 light cycle and the Lit Motors C-1 self-balancing motorcycleDesign: The Drifting Ronin is a blue and black two wheeled self balancing motorbike. The front wheel is the only part of the bike with any mechanism, as that is where the white electric dust engine is, inside the wheel itself. In order to shift gears, instead of using the clutch at the feet like a normal bike, Hunter simply pushes a button and moves his handlebars forward to shift. The lower the gear, the more upright Hunter is. When braking, panels on the bike open as air brakes. The front is thick enough to ram through a brick wall. It also has a jump ability to go 5 feet high when stationary. The keys to this bike is Hunter's nightblade. In order to start it, Hunter has to insert the knife into where the throttle usually is. Without the nightblade, even if someone can start the engine, there is no accelerator for them to use. The rest of the bike is simply a huge bulk for storing anything Hunter needs to put away. His sword is either stored on his back or on the side of the bike. The Drifting part of the vehicle comes from how its wheels rotate in a style similar to the Batpod of the Nolaan Batman films.

| You are allowed to have: One weapon with up to three forms or two weapons with a total of up to three forms or three weapons with one form each.
You are not allowed to have three weapons with two having three forms and another having one form. You will need to change that in your profile.

| I changed it so no more shield/armor, the sword has only two physical forms (I was tossing around if the wings were separate from the dual blade form or not), and the nightstick is now an extending knife. | |

| - Pre-edit:
CHARACTERName: Hunter Thợ Săn Age: 18 years old. Birthdate is the 17th day of the 9th month. Gender: Male Crest: Appearance: 6 foot 2 inches. 165 LB. Hunter is a Vietnamese male with a lightly toned tan and a slightly muscular build. He can often be seen wearing grey and black military BDU cargo pants, grey knee and elbow pads, a sky blue hooded short-sleeved jacket with black stripes and his crest on his left shoulder as a military patch and on the right is an inverted blue First Sargeant rank with black trim. Hunter keeps a short-sleeved jacket so on his left forearm he could use his arm-mounted tablet (more below) and store a knife as his emergency backup weapon (more below) for when he doesn't have his sword, while on the right Hunter has an arm brace. On his hands are gloves with the pinky and ring fingers exposed from the second knuckle out, reinforced in the knuckles and the palms with steel that could easily break bones when punching or a nose if doing a palm-heel strike to the face. Under Hunter's jacket is usually a long sleeved grey tee shirt sponsoring his favorite band "The Wreckers," their energy drink "Energon," and the words "Wreck and Rule," the title of the band's greatest single. Hunter will never be seen without his shades either wrapped around his eyes or resting on his jet-black hair along with either eating chips or chewing gum. When walking around with his main weapon, his sword hangs via a harness with a small but powerful Dust magnet built into his jacket. Personality:
- Hunter is one of the chillest people you could ever meet. He doesn't give a damn often, but when he does, it's usually to help others. Always looking out for his friends and family, he will protect anything at all costs.
- Has a habit of always chewing gum or eating chips to keep his hands and mouth busy when not talking.
- Something Hunter doesn't like is to get picked on. No one likes it when he's angry and will sometimes break things, especially if they look at his sword and ask "Are you compensating for something bro?"
- He really hate people who act like 12 year olds.
- He has always had a fascination with flying and racing, and even though he has a sports motorbike, Hunter is saddened to know that despite all the Dust in the world, there isn't something powerful enough to send someone into space to explore Luna 2, the shattered moon. With his smarts, Hunter is sure he can become one of the first to reach Luna 2.
- One of the downsides to Hunter was when he was young, if a conversation becomes interesting, he can never stop talking. Still does, in fact, but not very often. Hopefully as he gets older his mouth becomes slower than his blade.
History:Hunter was born outside of the kingdom walls and spent almost 8 years of his life out there on the farm before he moved into the city. In these years, his grandfather, a former soldier and one of the last since the army was dismissed since the war ended years ago, taught Hunter how to fight the creatures of Grim out in the wilderness with a standard sword and shield, particularly the Nevermore birds. Thankfully these birds were nothing like the ones living in the Beacon forest, instead having wingspans of usually two yards/meters (they're about the same length, really), and they didn't attack his family that much, just the crops and livestock, but those attacks usually hit the farm that rivaled the Thợ Săns. Whenever he wasn't fighting the Nevermore or training with his grandfather, Hunter would watch the circle around, wishing he could do the same as them, gaining his dreams of flying. After they amassed enough money, the Thợ Săns loaned their farm to a corporation, as long as they were in charge of the farm and received interest from whatever crops they harvested. Meanwhile, Hunter told his parents he wanted to become (what else?) one of the Huntsmen and Huntresses that replaced the army. Since the Thợ Săns were now making triple the money they were before, his parents agreed to send him to a Huntsman school with his grandfather to watch over him. Before he studied at Flare Hall, Hunter had a nickname. For years, his nickname in school was "Shut-The-Hell-Up." Even the teachers called him that because he was always trying to have a conversation with someone in the middle of sparring class. However, the second to last week of Freshman Year at Flare Hall, everyone forgotten about that name, because two idiots who got fed up with his chatter mouth tried to push him down some stairs. After the incident, he became known as "The Super Unvincible Hunter." Of course, Hunter didn't like that name, since he wasn't a true Huntsman yet, nor was he "Super Unvincible," but he decided to use that as motivation so he could live up to his own reputation. A week before Junior Year started, Hunter's grandfather, North Thợ was killed in a poker fight by a Cultist man named Hol Alco. He tracked the killer, skipping school an entire year. In his act of vengeance, Hunter found Hol and made his first human kill. After the deed was done, Hunter realized that Hol would stay dead, just like his grandfather. He left to his grandson his old army jacket and half of his jackpot earnings (what else is an old man gonna do out in the city?), which Hunter used to make his own set of weapons and purchase dust at Flare Hall. Since he skipped school for a year, he was 18 when he graduated; most graduates were only 17. After graduating, Hunter was accepted to Beacon Academy, and is now preparing to start his first year. Strength:
- He has a 3.5 mile/5KM time of 27m:19s without his gear. With it, it's 38m:11s.
- Hunter can also do 113 one handed pushups with his left, 157 with his right. Two handed pushups hit 217.
- Being thick-headed, Hunter can smash ten bricks using just his forehead before passing out.
- Hunter could also use his knees to break a skull. Whether this is aided by his kneepads or not is up to debate.
- Due to practicing extensively wit his weapon, Hunter can stand high altitudes without the aid of an oxygen tank.
Weakness:Hunter is known to sometimes charge into battle without any second thought, but usually gets out with not very life-threatening injuries, thanks to his sword's "jump" ability. His occasionally endless mouth gets him singled out in a fight by both humans and Grims. He also has an unusual fear of rabbits and horses, especially baby bunnies and little ponies. AURA SEMBLANCE: Aero BlueHunter's Aura enables him to move quickly throughout the battlefield in all directions, whether jumping up, advancing forward, sidestepping, or retreating advancing backwards 28 feet. He was also learning how to heal others' wounds using his own Aura at Flare, which drains his aura heavily, resulting in him hardly using it. Unfortunately, it has never worked, especially during the one time he actually tried: save his grandfather. EQUIPMENTaTab: Arm mounted tablet with 12G and unlimited data. Has a front facing camera so he can video call others. Infinity Lens: Similar to the Google Glass, this is portable stereoscopic Augmented Reality headset that’s wirelessly connected to the aTab. WEAPON 1Name: Metaruhōku Inspirations: Name from the name used in the Japanese cartoon dub for Metalhawk. Cloud Strife's Buster Sword for single blade mode and Sentinel Prime's Primax Blade for wing/dual blade mode. (2nd example)Design: Two blue and black airplane wings each a foot wide and 8 feet long. A grip in the middle is two feet long. - Fighting style is based on Darth Maul when wielding both ends, the Klingon Batl'leth, and Sentinel Prime during the Battle of Chicago.
The voice commands and Dust abilities are as follows:
- "Transform" = activate transformation.
- "Boost" = activate jump boost to fly, double jump, or swing faster.
- "Block" = activate Red stasis Dust for blocking. Lasts 5 seconds. Cool down is 5 seconds.
- "Blaze" = activate Red stasis Dust for flaming sword mode. Lasts 15 seconds. Cool down is 5 seconds.
- "Blast" = activates flaming projectile attack. It just shoots fireballs from the blade, traveling up to 40 feet before dissipating, at the rate of how fast Hunter can swing, but since the sword is so huge, he can't swing it that fast. Lasts 10 seconds. Cool down is 5 seconds.
- "Burn" = activates flaming projectile attack, similar to this. It's not as destructive, though. It's just a 4 foot tall wall of constantly expanding flame that becomes 20 feet wide and starts to dissipate after traveling 35 feet, fully disappearing after 5 more feet. Hunter can do this only once every 30 seconds.
WEAPON 2/BACKUP WEAPONA nightblade. Not very flashy, it's just a telescoping knife with a blade hidden in his left forearm guard that extends out 11 inches/28 cm. CHARACTERChosen Name: Hunter Thợ Săn Birth Name:- Will spoil some plots. Read at own risk. Just know that he hates it.:
Nero Thợ Săn. Nero means Black in Latin-- Italian. Age: 18 years old as of Beacon Week 1. Birthdate is the 28th day of the 9th month, so he'll be 19 by Week 5. Gender: Male Crest, Appearance, and Weapon: - Spoiler:
Yeah... I don't know photoshop that well, so his head is missing. Just head over to the Face Claim thread for his head. Credit for the wings in the crest go to nikodiazderivera of deviantart.
He keeps two black dog tags on his neck, exposed to everyone, one with a blue silencer displaying his name, occupation, what Battle School he went to prior to Beacon, and the school's motto. The other one was with a yellow silencer. It belonged to someone he cared about most.
History:Born under a name he never liked, "Hunter" (used here to avoid confusion) entered the world of Remnant in the farming valley of Cloud Atlas, a large island near the main area of the Atlas Kingdom. It was during these daydreams that she gave him the nickname " Azure Angel," even though he hated it. Flare Hall also taught Hunter and his friend some healing skills. For seven months, they traveled across the planet, searching far and wide for them, and destroying several outposts along the way. He replied with the words " The Hunter.
WEAPON 2/BACKUP WEAPONA nightblade. Not very flashy, it's just a telescoping knife with a blade hidden in his left forearm guard that extends out 11 inches/28 cm. VEHICLEName: Drifting Ronin Inspiration: Tron Evolution Gen-4 light cycle and the Lit Motors C-1 self-balancing motorcycleDesign: The Drifting Ronin is a blue and black two wheeled self balancing motorbike.
