The Drakon [Closed]

[Week 13, Saturday]

Yin sat, eyes closed, legs crossed, and felt the wind blow through his hair. His fists were pressed together in his lap, and his expression was one of peaceful tranquility. The wind gusted, causing his long hair to sway, blowing out to the side. He opened his eyes, looking out over the Forest from the clifftop, the sunrise sparkling off the red trees. His lips twitched, a smile tugging at his mouth, This is nice. He thought, It's been too long since I had some time to myself. He took a deep breath, relishing the cool morning air filling his lungs. He released the breath, his mind and body at perfect peace...

Below him, the cliffside creaked, and out of the side of the rock, a single, monsterous eye opened. Yin frowned, quickly standing as the sharp noise reverberated up the cliff. He looked over the cliff, seeing a lone hill stretch away from the bottom of the cliff, What was that? He wondered, peering further over the side of the cliff. He thought he saw something dart along the side of the cliff, just before the noise happened again, this time way off to his right. He frowned again, about to turn and leave before the ground beneath him heaved and sent him tumbling over the edge, What the hell? He had time to think before he spun around and saw the ground rushing up to meet him. He put up a hasty shield using his aura, softening his impact on the displaced soil. He rolled onto his back, his mind reeling. He saw two massive red eyes glaring down towards him, and the soil underneath him began to fall off to the sides.

He stood quickly, scrambling to stop from falling off. His foot landed on a firm surface, and he looked down to see huge black scales under all the soil, What is this?! He wondered before the surface beneath him moved again. He was propelled upwards a little as the beast opened its mouth. A massive roar broke the silence of the early morning, and Yin slapped his hands over his ears to stop from going deaf. He gritted his teeth as the monster's roar continued, finally dying down after a few moments. He looked back up at the beast, This is a Grimm. He finally realized, just as the creature shook its head and threw him from what must have been its snout. He flew through the air, drawing his blades as he did so, So I have to beat it. He finished his thought as he dug his blades into a tree, spinning around once and landing on an upper branch. He looked back towards the massive Grimm, seeing it begin to pull its body out of the ground. One leg, then the other placed a monsterous foot on the ground. The earth on its back began to fall as it pulled itself from its place of slumber. Yin once again gritted his teeth, gripping his blades tightly as he launched himself off the branch. He hopped and blinked from one branch to another, moving quickly towards the beast, I can't allow this to make it to Vale. He thought as the huge beast let out another deafening roar...

So here we go! We're going to be having everyone post once in between the GM posts (my posts) so that everyone has a chance to respond to everything.

Scarlette had been taking one of her evening walks in the Forest of Forever Fall. Everything had been pure bliss, Cruentus, her double sided scythe, close at her side. Everything was silent, besides her own breathing and the the occasional noise of a grimm approaching. That is until she heard a distant roar. Scarlette instantly grabbed for her scythe, picking up the speed. A roar like that would come from no small thing. Dark scales had only just emerged from the ground when she arrived, and she took notice of a dark haired man fighting the beast. Scarlette's eyes hardened as she dashed forward to aid him.

Lets hope I get out of this with no major injuries...

Darcil was sitting, waiting, for the right time to attack. A beowolf walks in front of his tree and he zeros in with his rifle. Pulling the trigger and sending one round throught the beasts skull, killing it.  "Hmph this beowolf was causing so much trouble? Not much of a hunt..." He puts another round into the beast making sure it stays down. As he fires again he hears A loud thundering roar from nearby. "What the hell?"

He takes off towards the direction of the roar only too see the giant beast already in a battle with 2 other people. He readies Snow and heads towards the beast yelling " DON'T HAVE ALL THE FUN WITHOUT ME DAMNIT!"

"The mother of all trophies............."

Tim was out, and about relaxing. He loved nature even if he didn't know how to show it. When the ground began shaking he stood up and looked at where it was coming from. She then saw the beast. "Threat detected. Grimm locked, target must be eradicated." He said before running to the target. He activated his juggernaut mode, and rammed through the trees to reach his target. Moving at the speed, and the force of a train.

There was a single Beowulf in front of Fionn, a half second later there were two halves of a Beowulf in front of him, he had been out all day hunting, a bit for fun a bit for the fact that he was dead broke. He began to rub the dark blood off of his blade "Now if i just kill five more that should cover my budge- He stopped midthought as he heard a monstrous roar in the distance, looking over he began to feel the tremors and see the scales. "Now the skull of THAT will definitely cover my expenses" Fionn thought as he began to run towards the beast, seeing the four others as he approached whilst holding Oberursel in a swinging position

Vates was wandering through the forest, looking positively bored when an ear splitting roar hit his ears. Putting his hands over his fox ears and flattening them, crouching down. "Ow! What made that?" Standing up, Vates runs towards the sounds of destrucion until the Drakon came into view. "..... Whoa. I don't know what that is, but I'll have one hell of a story when this is over." With a smile Vates loads Ljósálfr with penetrator rounds and running to find a good vantage point.

The Drakon lifted a massive paw, bringing it down towards the multiple enemies that it now saw. Yin was able to see the attack coming, and he dove out of the way, landing hard on the ground as he rolled to lessen the impact. The huge paw smashed into the ground not too far from him, sending him up in the air for a brief moment. The earth shook, and the Drakon swept its paw along the ground, destroying trees and clearing a massive swathe of land as it tried to swat the pests heading towards it. They would be caught in the path of its massive attack, and the sheer size of the monster would make it difficult to avoid.

Yin popped up to his feet, turning his head to see the massive destruction off to his right, If it could do this to a forest... He turned back to see the Drakon's large torso above him by at least five stories. Straight in front of him, he spotted a tree that would be able to get him close enough to blink up to the beast's belly. Once he got there...he would figure that out once he got there. He sprinted forward and began clambering up the tree, climbing as fast as he was able.

"Too big to be sneaky, too big to dodge He thought as the paw lowered towards him. While fast Fionn knew he himself was certainly wasn't built for speed and knew he wouldn't be able to dodge, so he did the only thing he could think of, he charged up his blade, stabbed the ground infront of him, and spun around rapidly whilst falsely praying to whatever gods there were.
Twenty seconds later he was in a 12 foot pit only slightly wider than himself in which he crouched down to 4'2 and covered his ears in preparation for the boom that was to come

Scarlette twists her scythe, forming two smaller ones with chains connecting them. She assumed that with it's massive size, it's claws would be large enough to smush her flat, so she prepared. Throwing one of the scythes to the side, it wraps itself around a tree, and Scarlette pulls quick and strong, propelling herself forward and fast, out of the beasts' claws' path. Rolling swiftly along the ground, Scarlette quickly turns around, and retrieves her blade from the tree. Retracting the chain, she puts her double scythe back together.

Squinting through the debris of the forest, she hopes her new comrades are okay. She then readies herself for whatever may come.

Darcil looks up to see the giant paw coming near to smasking him "MOVE!" he yells as he himself dashes away from the paw. The impact shook the ground around and caused him to stumble slightly to a kneeling pose.

He notices the dual weilder climbing up a tree. "Well he has the right idea it seems." He starts sprints to the front of the beast and whistles to get its attention "HEY UGLY DOWN HERE!" He pulls out Snow and starts unloading at the beasts face in order to create a distraction for his other comrades. He continues to move away firing rounds at the beast hoping to hurt it somehow, or at least set up for a bigger attack.

As he runs away he takes advantages of the trees the beast hasn't knocked down. Having a running start he starts to head up the tree in now hopes to have a position to jump on to the beast itself. He gets as high as he can and leaps off of a tree and latches on stabbing the side of the beast with his sword form.

Tim looked up and saw the paw. He sent his right hand rocketing at the creatures leg. He grabbed ahold, and zipped him self on to its leg, and began to climb.

Vates dives out of the way of the paw, landing near the beasts stomach. Standing up, he shoots a few times towards it's underbelly.

The Drakon's paw swept over the hole that Fionn was in, dumping in pounds of dirt and tree debris into the hole. It roared in anger as Darcil shot at it, and it unleashed a torrent of fire at the boy, the flames roaring into life from its belly. Darcil's blade pinged off the Drakon's scales, unable to gain purchase in the rock-hard surface. The Drakon felt one of the pests latch onto its leg, and it quickly responded, bringing the leg high into the air. It then brought the leg crashing down towards the ground, smashing into the earth below. The leg impacted the ground, causing the earth to tremble with the force of the blow. It then felt a tickling on its underbelly and, figuring one of the pests was below it, spread its legs out, lowering its midsection to try and squish the pest. The Drakon's eyes burned with anger, but it was also much more intelligent than a mere beast. It had fought armies much larger than this, and was smart enough to be confident in its size and strength.

Yin scrambled up the tree, quickly making it to the top. He looked up, quickly seeing the beast's belly coming down at him fast, Shit. He thought, diving towards the ground to gain some time. The creature's stomach was far too large for him to hope to run away from it. He looked over to see an older man near the beast's stomach, "Get outta the way!" He yelled over to him, sheathing his blades and preparing to defend himself the only way he could.

Fionn sat at the bottom of the hole, he had kept his blade over himself and hardened it as the debris fell in, realizing he was now trapped he pulled Oberursels trigger and waited ten seconds. A large explosion occurred that moment in the hole as the trees and debris blasted out, what Fionn hadn't anticipated was that he would be blown into the air very far, and very close to the head of a certain creature. Doing the one thing he was certain would work Fionn raised his blade and jammed it into the armor of the creature as hard as he could, and swung off onto the back of the creature where he quickly ran to the center of its back to avoid being shaken off

Scarlette swings one half of her scythe around the tree, promptly pulling herself up. Now higher than most, she decides to use a strategic technique instead of fighting it head on. Looking closely, she hopes she will be able to see any weakness.

Tim held strong as it crashed it's foot to the earth. He just continued climbing. "Target must be eliminated." He just said as he climbed. His plan was simple get to the top then act.

Darcil quickly recovered after his failure to stab into the beast's side. He laid on the ground only for a moment just to realize a giant foot was about to smash him. He rolls into a standing sprint and runs away from the foot as fast as he can. The quake of the ground sends him rolling forward, and loosing his balance. As he stands back up he addresses the other fighters "Anyone feel free to start attacking this beast soon, Its ok! I HAVE ALL DAY DAMNIT!" Starting to feel frustrated that nothing has worked so far, his only plan at the moment is to impair one of the beast's senses. He considers his options on what he could impair and he goes with the most obvious, and most likely the easiest. He sprints to the front of the beast loading a new cylinder of dust rounds into his revolver.


He takes his revolver and gets in the most comfortable position possible to shoot and focuses on his aim. Once he gets lined up he unloads flaming dust rounds at the beasts eyes. Praying and hoping that his would blind the giant monster.

Dodging out of the way of the beast stomach, Vates grabs on to it's scales before it can lift it's self back up, hoping to get on it's back for a better position. "What do you think I'm doing, kid? This damn things scales are too tough!"

The Drakon felt the pest run along its spine, and it growled loudly in protest. The prickling along its belly had stopped, so it simply bent its knees and lunched forward, aiming to not only to shake Fionn from its back, but also causing Vates to lose his grip on its scales. It also caused Darcil's shots to slam into its chest rather than its face, completely negating the effect of the weapon on its hard scales. After regaining its footing, the Drakon realized that the pest on its leg was still there. It lifted its arm, twisting it so Tim was aimed towards the ground. Upon spotting Darcil in front of it, the Drakon swung its arm with Tim on it at the boy, hoping to kill two birds with one stone. If Tim remained on its arm, it would simply be crushed in between the ground and the beast's scales. Scarlette looked at the beast, only about chest height with it, and tried to find a weakness. Due to the sheer size of the monster, it was simply impossible for her to notice anything that might give away a potential weakness. The Drakon, however, noticed the girl's very exposed position, and unleashed a jet of flame directly at her.

Yin held a shield of aura above his head, waiting for the Drakon's stomach to come crashing down around him. A few moments passed before he frowned and looked up to see the beast's gut rising back up, Pretty damn lucky there. He thought, running out from under the beast. He looked up to see the man (Vates) failing to retain purchase on the Drakon's side. He called out to him, "Follow me! I've got an idea!"

Scarlette grit her teeth as she sees the wave of fire heading towards her. Well shit. Scarlette lets go of the tree, ungracefully falling to the ground with a grunt and pushing off the ground to scramble away from the fire. She curses quietly to herself as she realizes that the fire will most likely spread, making the battle a lot harder for them. So much for a strategic strategy, you dimwit.

Tim looks as the beast reals back its arm. He lets go and send his fist flying to its back. He grabs ahold, and repeals him self to its back. "Target must be neutralized." As he reached it's back he went over his attack plan. [Infiltration needed.......remove shielding and begin infiltration.] He reached the back, and saw Fionn. He didn't react. He Kept low to balance himself out. He grabbed one of the creatures scale and began to try ripping it off.

Fionn knew he had to come up with a plan quick, he had jumped into this too fast and now he was paying the price with the danger he was in. "Come on, theres got to be a weakspot on this stupid oversized thing" He thought as he played a careful game of not falling off of something much larger than hims back. He charged up his blade and ran forward, noticing a large scale near where he stood he raised his sword and prepared for his signature attack, he stabbed his blade into the scale after hardening the blade, used the force to pole vault into the air, and brought his blade down onto the scale as hard as he could

After picking himself up from his fall off the beast's side, Vates would begin running after the person that yelled at him. Unsheathing Dökkálfr, He'd yell back,"Idea, huh? Well, it's bound to be better then what I've been doing!"

Darcil curses to himself as he realizes his attack failed. He quickly moves though when he realizes the beast was trying to crush him. He rolls and begins running away again. He pulls out his second revolver and starts unloading again at the beasts eyes. "Thats right! Get pissed!" He taunts the creature. He runs back further and runs to a tree and climbs up to one of the branches of it. From the elevated position he continues to fire on the beasts face. "C'mon hurry up with your plan." He thinks to himself.

The Drakon shook its body, throwing both Fionn and Tim from its back. Its scales held firm against their attacks, and it roared its anger at its inability to catch the small pests. It swung its paw at the tree that Darcil was perched upon, splintering it immediately and snapping it in two. The top half, where Darcil was, flew off into the air, sailing towards the ground and spinning violently as it did. It then saw both Yin and Vates running alongside it, and swung its tail straight at them.

Yin was caught in the stomach, grunting as he sailed backwards. He twisted his neck, seeing a tree speeding at him far too quickly. He used his semblace, blinking downward and into the ground. He raised a hasty shield as he impacted the tree, grunting as he hit it. He managed to get to his feet, breathing heavily, Dammit, this thing is too big. He thought as he ran towards it again, We have to distract it long enough to do some damage. He called out to the others that had joined him in the fight, "Everyone! Regroup over here!" He halted his run at the treeline, just in front of the destroyed and burning area around the beast.
