| Things may have changed slightly about the operation of things, such as the device you all have. Do not worry about retroactively changing your stories. Just go with the flow and continue. If you have a question, post here or PM me about it.PLease title threads for your matches as follows. The Match letter comes from this page, which shows the entire bracket for the tournament. - Code:
-
Match A:Shard Dayker and Indigo Vs. Walter Dean and Eris Kazar.
In the opening post, please include a link to all participating character's profile pages in the Approved Characters page. When you post an action, await the response of your target and the others in combat. Do not skip players turns. If they do not reply for an excessive amount of time, a moderator will let you know the result of your attack. Additionally, you are being launched into the forest and may be separated from your partner. There is a chance you will encounter your opponents during this time, so be careful as the matches start upon being launched. If anyone interferes with another teams battle, you are immediately disqualified and will not be attending Beacon Academy. You may observe fights at the top of the cliffs, where displays are setup to view events happening in the forest.
When your opponent gets a hit say it OOC and keep track so that it is visible to everyone.
About the Device The device you recieve before being launched is a small, round electronic device, much like a cellphone. It has a screen on it that directs you to a specified location. All members in your Match are directed to the same location. However, if you encounter them before arriving, you can fight. The match begins once you leave the launch pad on the cliffs. The device will keep track of hits you take.
Rules and Such You can only take 6 hits. Once you reach this amount, you are downed and cannot continue participating in any fights against your enemy students. You must back out of the combat area so you are not in the way. If your partner is defeated, you must remain in the area you were defeated until given your next match. If you are defeated again and are out of the tournament, your device will alert you to return to the Cliffs. An attack is only a HIT if you take damage or are in some way injured from the attack. If you block it with your aura, weapon, or arm, and it doesn't hurt you, then it is NOT a HIT. Hits from outside sources do not count towards the 6 maximum, however these injuries could affect your combat performance.
If you wish to surrender due to injury, or immediate danger, you may yell, "I forfeit!" Or, "I surrender!" The device will immediately respond with an alarm, letting everyone nearby know you are surrendering and are not a target. If you surrender, you yield the fight to your opponents, and you must remain in your area awaiting your next match as if you were defeated.
Additionally, all matches should follow a post order. This means that when you make a post, all others should be able to make a post before you make another one. Exceptions are if you are not interacting with someone at the time. Standard post order will follow the bracket listing. Top Team Player 1, then top player 2, then bottom player one, then bottom player 2. I ordered it this way to allow teams to setup combination attacks/actions. If you do not wish to follow the post order, you must have everyone in your match agree out of character.

Probably the one thing that makes me understand why for now we're limited to one character. But we can go and...'watch', right?

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of stealth-based characters, though? And on another note, we are allowed to break other character's weapons, right?

| Yes you can break other weapons. typically they are quiye durable, however. I have edited my post to reflect changes regarding the tracker to benedit stealth characters. | |

| Player discretion typically. If events cannot be resolved in character and the rules don't state how to solve it, PM a mod and provide information. | |

| Question for those of us without a match till round 2 can we start our fight thread even if our opponents aren't finished with their fight so we can land and find our partner in the forest? | |

| I will say that yes, you can start the post. Don't do too much though. Just basically your landing. | |

| For now, just don't make the post. Write up your landing in notepad or something or just save it somewhere if you want to do t hat now. It'll be easier if we wait for round 2 matches to have all members listed.6 | |

| I don't know if I was the only one that got confused, but here's what I'm not sure about. It says the device starts counting your hits once you reach your designated battle grounds right? But it also says the battle starts as soon as you land in the forest. So if you attack someone before reaching the battle area, what happens? | |

| Just noticed that myself. I can wait if you don't want to respond to my attack until after this is resolved. | |

| Don't you love Kooplah's errors.
So the hit's shall start counting before you reach the battle area.

| Rules updated with information on Post order. People have been commenting on such a thing and I believe that it will benefit several of the battles taking place. | |
