Occupation: Roan often drifts between jobs with no definite occupation as being a freaky lizard man it can be hard to keep a job but is willing to do almost anything for a paycheck.

Appearance: Roan is a reptilian faunus who stands at around 6’2”. Roan due to being what he is can appear rather intimidating or even terrifying to some and as a result often wears a long light green hooded cloak that reaches down to his feet along with the mouth mask he always wears regardless so he appears more as strange person than a reptilian beast. Under Roan’s mouth mask are rows of sharp teeth which only makes it more difficult for social situations. He does not have anything that can cover his eyes and is usually what gives his identity away. The claw which end each fingertip are perfect for climbing or attacking if need be. The mask itself also acts as a purifier of sorts (air breathed out of it is).

Personality: Appearances can be deceiving is an old saying and the saying holds true to Roan.  Roan is calm and strongly dislikes creating a scene which is one of the reasons he wears a cloak when he goes outside or to a public place. He is open to helping those in need so long as they are able to get past appearances and provide proper compensation for his work. Roan honestly does not care about any insults toward his appearance and are able to brush them off carelessly. Roan strongly dislikes alcohol and drinking and will actively avoid bars and pubs unless it is required that he enters. Of course Roan does not stop others from drinking and will not criticize anyone for doing so. Roan usually prefers to stay calm in intense situations including battle and strongly dislikes taking unnecessary risks. Roan doesn't exactly keep to himself but he isn't a social butterfly either and will often relax in less occupied areas so that only a few will notice him.

History: Roan has lived most of his life as a traveler after leaving his home village of Temedal a hostile swampland with many predators and grimm lurking about to seek adventure when he was 20 years of age. Many years have passed since then and has many stories of his adventures with one of note being the time when he was nearly beat to death by an overzealous hunter in a remote village who claimed he was a “Demon”.  Roan has remained an what he was until now because of his desire to have a large fortune. This desire drove him to leave the village on rather bad terms as he literally forced his way through the gates which were never to be opened without there being dire emergency due to a local superstition that the gate held back the spirits of the dead. In some places he is a wanted criminal due to his desire for money and fortune while in others he was a pillar of the community.  Another of Roans travels brought him to a family estate where he worked as a guard for a while. There the son of the family would write and practice plays in front of Roan. Roan was the only critic of the boys plays and soon became a father figure. When Roan made the choice to leave  after a year Sage made the choice to follow Roan wherever he may go. Roan’s travels have brought him to Vale now and he is ready to make his fortune.

Semblance: Roan’s reptilian body already produces small amounts of venoms/poison that couldn't possibly affect a grown person. However his semblance increases the amount of venom he produces to high levels (and makes him immune to most poisons but the strongest). Roan is able to control the level of production in most cases with the exclusion of his breath which is slightly poisonous but could prove fatal to those exposed for long periods of time. A good example of Roan using this is to coat his blades in poison or gather in his mouth to spit (although Roan prefers not to do this because his mask will not be on and may endanger bystanders). The problem with using this excessively is the fact that Roan will often tire out quickly and end up being too tired to continue to fight. Roan is able to secrete the poison he creates through his skin or his mouth. The effect of the poison is usually one that relaxes the opponents muscles to the point of being difficult to move except with the substance that gathers inside his mouth that is always an acidic liquid. The acidic liquid is not enough to burn through metal but can cause burns when exposed to bare skin. Of course just like the poison he creates he can control the production of this.

Strength: Roan is a all around fighter “Not the best at anything but good at everything”. As a result he is able to exploit the weaknesses of his opponents once he finds them eg. He can sneak around effectively but he is likely to be spotted if someone is looking for him.

Weakness: Like true reptiles Roan is cold blooded and is very vulnerable to extreme colds and extreme heats and as a result can be taken out by them very quickly unless he is warmed or cooled to the right temperature.

Weapon

Name: Valente

Primary form: Valente as a whole consists of  of two curved blades able to deliver quick stabs and slashes in rapid succession. The hooked shape of the blades allow him to hook the blades on ledges to assist in climbing . The blades are stored in two sheaths on his lower back and do not stick out from his body making them perfect to wear under his cloak.

Secondary form: The blades on the weapons upward and extend to nearly four times their normal size while the handles extend also with the grip of the other blade attached to the already extended handle and with both of them extended creates this

History: This is the weapon that Roan took with him when he left his tribe. This is the traditional weaponry of his people and this set has been passed down his family for many generations until it fell into his hands. These blades are known for the brutal tactics that the wielders will often employ.

sounds interesting. I like the using his species to pick the semblance.
