History: Yvonne was born into the White Fang, growing up watching the oppression that was laid upon the Faunus race by the humans, watching as her kind were delegated to be a second-rate race. She grew up angry and resentful of humans for how they looked down on her people.
She was accepted into Signal Academy, holding some small hope that if she could prove that she could fight and be just as strong as the humans maybe she would be accepted. And so she adapted to a Warrior's mindset, placing strength and honor above all else. And surprisingly for her, it started to work. There were humans that accepted her for who she was and what she was capable of accomplishing. Of course, there were still those that looked down on her, and she hated them more than anything else in the world, even the creatures of Grimm.
During her time in Signal, she started to fall in love with a human who had seemed to genuinely be interested in her. And so they started to date, and that was when everything started to fall apart. His controlling and manipulative nature came out, and he started to treat her the same way all the other oppressive humans had treated her, like she was just some animal living among humans.
One day when they were on the roof of the Academy in the middle of the night, he attacked her trying to take advantage of her. When she fought back trying to stop him, they became perilously close to the edge of the roof, and in their struggle he fell off. She fled from the scene and no one had seen what happened, but when news of his death finally broke to the Academy there were many that believed it was her and held her accountable. Even the people she had thought of as friends were suspicious of her.
So she fled the Academy, never completing her training or graduating. She hated the humans, growing to believe that every last one of them held that same hatred and superiority to Faunus. As a result, she found herself returning to the White Fang to fight for the cause of equality.
In reality though, she just wanted to terrorize humans, to fight and kill them to fulfil some deep-seated vendetta. The White Fang found her talents useful, and she found the perfect way to let out all her violence and anger.
Personality: Yvonne is a very jaded and anti-social person, even among fellow Faunus. She feels like a stranger everywhere, even among the White Fang since she only fights for herself instead of the cause the rest of them fight for.
Her constant negative experiences with humans leads her to avoid most human contact, but when it is absolutely necessary to interact with them she tends to be very cold and sharp with them, keeping any conversation to an absolute minimum.
Strength: She is a brutal fighter, always giving her all in battle and never relenting or easing up until its decisively over. The girl has a single minded ferocity that tends to be unnerving, losing herself in the heat of the battle and letting her mind take a back seat to her predator instincts.
Weakness: Her strength is also her greatest weakness, she doesn't know when to admit defeat or when to back down from a challenge. She also becomes overzealous, losing sight of what is really important in a fight in the hopes to inflict maximum damage to whatever gets in her way.
Semblance: Her semblance manifests as a rage-induced anesthetic in battle. She is capable of shrugging off wounds and blood loss that would incapacitate most others in battle. The downside is that after the adrenaline and rage subside the wounds affect her more when the pain finally sets in, leaving her completely exhausted or even near death depending on the severity of the injuries she ignores.
WEAPONName: Labrys
Primary Form: Solid metal bo-staff
Secondary Form: At the press of a button located towards the middle of the staff, two blades spring out from both ends of the staff, transforming it into a double headed Scythe.
Tertiary Form: The staff can then split into two parts, leaving her with two single-handed scythes.
History: Yvonne constructed this weapon herself while she was still a student at Signal. She chose to eschew the ranged component of her weapon that so many hunters and huntresses seemed to favor in exchange for more versatility in melee combat.
