| CHARACTERName: Viola AriaAge: 20 Gender: Female Symbol: Beauty.Appearance: Height of 5ft3in, weight of 120lbs. Viola has inky black hair that she keeps tied up in 4 loose ponytails. Her top is a dark purple sleeveless crop-top. She tends to wear a white leather jacket over top. Her pants are tight, white, and leather. She wears black combat boots. She has a solid white-gold choker around her neck, and a matching belly button piercing with a small amethyst fitted inside. Personality: Viola is very bipolar, switching her thoughts and feelings on a dime. She can befriend people easily if she decides to be 'human', but usually avoids meeting anyone if she can help it. Her current personality is more than likely a result of the guilt over things in her past, but she would never outright admit anything about her past. She has an easier time connecting with people who she can relate to, though she may not act on her feelings all the time. Viola is very rarely vocally hostile, though her thoughts will say otherwise. She's fierce in battle but would rather not fight at all - preferring to save her skills for her career. She's overconfident in her abilities for good reason, though it has caused her a problem a few times. Lazy and disrespectful as a student, unless she's entirely sure that she can learn something from the teacher. She will quickly dismiss anyone she doesn't deem to be a threat, without even giving them a chance to prove themselves. She enjoys reading and listening to music at pretty much all times, to distract herself from her past. She's very inconsiderate of human life after the accident, though most people might not pick up on this right away. History: Orphaned as a newborn, she was raised in the Agricultural district of the Vale with a farming family. Most of her childhood was uneventful, but there were a few incidents that caused damage to property or herself. Her foster parents never seemed to mind, thinking it was just a fact of life that people made mistakes. Viola spent the first 12 years of her life in happiness, very rarely experiencing feelings of disappointment from the people around her. She was on track to have a somewhat boring, but mostly happy life. Until the accident. Midway through her twelfth year of life, Viola caused an accident that claimed the life of her adoptive parents. Consumed by grief, she dropped off the face of the planet for an entire year to try to calm her mind... by ending her life. All of her attempts failed, however, and she eventually found herself back among the more civilized areas of humanity. Deciding she needed to accomplish something with her life, she ended up going to Signal Academy to get a general education of sorts. Her years at Signal were rather uneventuful, though she did learn quite a bit. Upon graduation, she ended up falling in to general spy work, not being interested in attending Beacon. Spending a year doing general grunt work, though falling short of actual murder or robbery, she made a name for herself in the underground. Until she drew the attention of the biggest name in the crime underworld, Yvaine Lux. The reason for drawing the woman's attention was a rather successful robbery on her estate, which likely would have been entirely succesful if Yvaine hadn't caught Viola herself. After a fair few weeks being... persuaded to give information to Yvaine, Viola was close to her breaking point. But things changed the next time Yvaine visited. Viola was given clothes, food, water, whatever she wanted, and then was requested to have an actual talk with Yvaine. A few hours later and Viola had a real employer, and more money than she could ever use. For the next year, Viola did any of the jobs Yvaine asked, at this point including assassinations. Near the start of the new school year for Beacon, Yvaine requested that Viola attend for a specific mission, with no amount of time for it to be finished in. While attending Beacon, she went on an expedition with some other students, which had a very interesting conclusion, and even more interesting reward a few days later. Viola had found the absolute love of her life, and was ready to give everything up to spend her life with her. However, an incident with the Beacon Guard may have put a wrench in things... and a statement overheard by her target at the school may have made things even worse. Strength: Master martial artist and close range fighter, she is deadly with daggers or her own weapons. She's extremely fast, agile, and has high stamina, with some of the best eyesight a person could have. She also has an above average sense of smell, as well as hearing, and is extremely cunning and a brilliant strategist. Her lazy attitude makes her unfit for any roles that would use these traits and skills, however. She's been trained in different arts that all lend well to her current career. She's nearly immune to all poisons, in part due to her Semblance. Weakness: Viola's stamina is great for running and agility, though it doesn't do much in physical combat, making heavy blows difficult. Having no defense against a long range weapon of any kind, she has to resort to running away in such a situation. She's very ignorant of other peoples opinions in a battle situation, placing her calculations and plans above others, making her extremely unfit for leadership in any capacity. Semblance: Distribution of pain. Viola's Semblance allows her to take all of the pain from one area, and spread it through the rest of her body, or just focus it on another spot. This allows her to take the pain from, say, a broken arm, and spread it around the rest of her body, leaving it at a dull throb at the worst. This has the potential to kill her if she navigates all the pain to the wrong place, though if she was in that kind of pain it's unlikely she could focus enough. The more spread out she keeps the pain, the more tired she gets. WEAPONName: Reave and Entropy Storage Form: A pair of bracelets, one on either wrist. They appear to be dark purple interlaced with silver. The bracelets themselves are roughly two inches long, and an inch and a half thick. When they transform in to the gauntleted version, everything extends from within the bracelets before it all constricts around Viola's arm. The bracelets themselves rest fairly loosely on her wrists, and nobody is really sure how they're removed or placed back on. Primary Form: A pair of elbow length gauntlets, with blades running along the outer edges. The fingers of the gauntlets end in pointed claws, which can easily tear through thin sheets of metal, let alone flesh and muscle. The blades along the sides are serrated, and are generally more used for tearing things apart than cutting them. History: Created after losing her original weapons after the incident with the Beacon Guard, Reave and Entropy were part of Viola's method of moving away from her past, and towards her future. While still rather unassuming, her gauntlets are harder to conceal than her fans were. Made of a high quality steel alloy, they can withstand most blows, though heavier ones will have an impact on Viola as well.

| I would accept this, but the I have an issue with the fans and air currents. It just seems a bit to close to Air-bending from avatar. While the fans themselves are okay, I really don't want dust to turn into a "bending" thing. I'm not even sure if dust can be used to such a degree. Other than that, its a great character! | |

Hmm, alright. I don't mind cutting that out all that much.

| Quick question: Why not just have the fans act like a boomerang instead of relying on aura? The reason is that One: the fans would return no matter how far you throw them (that's completely acceptable so long as it isn't like a mile long throw), Two: It's much more realistic to the show given what we know about aura so far, and Three: I'm trying to move away from aura being some force that can control objects, teleport things, etc. But if you insist on moving them with your aura i guess that's fine as well.

That's actually more in line with what I wanted originally, it just didn't actually occur to me to type up. Thanks.

At age 12, she accidentally added oil to a fire, causing it to massively increase in size. The very same fire would go on to destroy the entire farm, with her adoptive parents burning to death in front of her. A year later, she ended up attending to Signal to learn to fight, and to run away from the guilt. While at Signal, she found that being a solitary scout and spy served to keep her away from people, not leaving her room to make mistakes again. After graduating Signal near the top of her class, she started to put her skills to some use. For a little over two years, she's been a hired assassin and intelligence collector for private parties. For the last year, she's been under the employment of someone very powerful, though she only knows them by their first name and meeting place. Her latest assignment from this same employer has her going to Beacon for a very... unique reason, not quite like anything she's done before. Weakness: Viola has a very low sense for the uses of aura, and as such uses it for almost nothing. Her stamina is great for running and agility, though it doesn't do much in physical combat. Having no defense against a long range weapon of any kind, she has to resort to running away in such a situation. She's very ignorant of other peoples opinions in a battle situation, placing her calculations and plans above others, making her extremely unfit for leadership in any capacity. WEAPONName: Taglio and Fiato Primary Form: A pair of Tessen. Extremely sharp and jagged, they're very deadly in the right hands. Taglio is black, Fiato is purple, and both have her symbol emblazoned in a silvery white on their center. Both blades have an aura/hand-print sensor that allows them to light up in flames, caused by dust. Secondary Form/Function: A combined version of both fans, it creates a saw-blade that shares the same incendiary effect. Can be thrown short distances, and the blade can spin in place if held, even while on fire. History: Viola created Taglio and Fiato while she was at Signal, favoring close range and sharp rather than long range and projectile based. She created the alloy they're made from herself, using a combination of steel and titanium that allows them to be extremely strong, but also fairly lightweight. She chose Tessen due to being used to carrying a personal fan while working on the farm, after recognizing her affinity for close range combat. Once she started her career as an assassin, she quickly realized that having such an easily concealed weapon was one of her greatest assets. They are sharp enough to cut through trees, skin, and bone, but not quite enough to cut through armor.
