Spencer sits, leaning against his bike with his arms folded. Earlier, he had received a call from Sonny Schwartz about someone that might be of use to him while hunting bounties. "'anks, man, but...tha' might not be the greates' idea." Spencer knows what sets him apart from other bounty hunters is not his skills in shooting a gun or swinging a knife but his ability to think and think whenever the time is needed. He has never seen it before, but he was warned about the dangers of inexperience in the field back when he started bounty hunting, by his father with stories of previous bounty hunters and their failure to survive on the job against a bounty too dangerous for them.
Spencer's father's warning echos in his thoughts as his friend's voice comes through the speaker.
"She's a student at Beacon so it's not like she isn't qualified!"
"She's a liability t' me an' I coul'n' live with m'self if somethin' bad happen' t' her." Sonny pauses a little and looks around to make sure nobody can hear him.
"...Look man, she doesn't have any family and no means to make any money. She's practically dead anyway if she doesn't get her hands on some money soon. Couldn't you...y'know-show her the ropes of it at least? You won't have to watch her after today at all, if you don't want to." This time, Spencer is the one that pauses before speaking.
...A'ight, but only t'night..." He breathes a long sigh. "Sen' 'er over t' the ranch. I'll be waitin' for her...You be'er be right abou' this."
"Cool, send the address."
"Yeah. Later."
So now, 45 minutes later Spencer sits in his family's driveway, leaning on Stallion's seat, waiting for this girl to arrive.

Lightning checked the address as she sped through open country, she was nearing her destination and began to slow down, not keeping her possible employer/partner waiting for more than a minute, almost looking like she appeared out of nowhere, the only thing to notify she hadn't teleported being a faint dust cloud behind her. She looked around and saw a single person, walking over, she said "Sonny sent me."

Spencer does not notice the girl coming and only looks up because of the sound of a footstep. When he looks up, the rest of the noise made by her previously finally catches up to her in a small sound wave and is accompanied by a breeze that tugs back on the loose parts of Spencer's clothing. The breeze especially has a love for his jacket. Well, you're the one assigned to catch any bounty that runs...
Spencer stands up from Stallion and begins to walk over to the visitor. "Sonny sent me," she says.
...Don' take no detective t' figure tha' out.-"YES Iye there. I'm Spencer. No', the 'caped sunset' tells me y'in'erested in boun'y work?"
Spencer looks the girl up and down. He woul' sen' me a girl with a side-cape. I won'er if tha' had anythin' t' do with him pressurin' me so 'ard.

She nods to Spencer, her eyes giving off the impression that she bottom line has to bounty hunt or she'll starve within the month. "Correct, I was under the impression you could assist me with that?"

It is a look that Spencer cannot help but see. Even without studying the girl's eyes, he can see it with how much it shows. Dammit.. It is pretty hard to look at. Clearly, this is the reason why Sonny sent her over. "Uh~yeah, I s'ppose I'd prob'ly be the righ' one t' talk to abou' tha'. Never mentored nobody before, though. So, e'scuse any coarseness in m'style of it." Spencer clears his throat quickly. "Nah-as I'm sure y'know, boun'ies come in two forms. Y'got 'live an' dead'r alive. I don' know 'bou' you but I work wi' the alive contrac's an', if I stumble 'cross one in th'other type, I do my bes' to take 'em 'live an' stay alive, myself. So, to'ay we gon' work on the easy ones. An' I recommend yeh don' try a real high risk one 'til ya got some e'sperience un'rneath your belt."
Spencer pauses a little before continuing.
"Basic'lly i's pretty self explanatory. Fin' the boun'y, detain 'em 'til y'can transport 'em t' the station, an' yeh collect yeh reward at the bank la'er. Simple, 'uh? 'f'ya keep your bearings an' know wha's goin' on all 'roun' ya, y'stay safe an' y'go home with-a-bidda lien in y'name."
Spencer suddenly sounds much more serious. "Bu' that las' par' righ' there..is crucial. Very crucial. Can' tell ya how many fools've disregarded tha' rule an' got his 'ecause of it..."

Spencer turns around and walks toward the motorcycle parked in the driveway. "Back to the city for an investigation. This one will be easy so it'll be a good star'." Spencer arrives at the side of the bike, lifts his leg around, and sits down while leaning it back right to balance.
"Armed muggin' on a rather wealthy gen'leman who thought he could walk on water. Carelessly walkin' 'round the Eastern Industrial District like he's untouchable and finds out pretty quick that he's human like the man with a gun to 'is head." Spencer pulls out the keys to the ignition, puts them in, and turns it to the on position to get ready to start but he holds off on starting the bike before he finishes. "Police've no leads but I got somethin' they don', a 'buddy' on the other si'e tha' lives near the scene. No doubt in my min' he knows somethin'." Spencer shifts the bike into neutral and, just before pressing the ignition switch, he asks the girl. "Y'pullin' yeh magic act to get there or y'ridin' with me?"

"I think I should conserve my energy, I'll ride with you." and she walks over to the motorcycle Spencer was on, and mounted behind Spencer, making sure she wouldn't fall off. 'I am so lucky for this...' she thought as she waited for Spencer to get going.

"A'ight." Spencer pushes the button and the engine roars to life. With a flick of his wrist, the animal speaks like it was ordered to. The boy kicks Stallion's stand up and starts to take off down the driveway and coasts down the hill when the two reach the end of the pavement, and the start of a short gravel pathway, to the road. The bike turns North-bound, toward the Eastern Industrial district of Vale.

________

The pair arrive at the scene of the crime and Spencer stops the bike on the side of the road, across from an alley way between an old, abandoned boarding house and what seems to be an old clock maker's shop with his personal home above; also long-since abandoned. A depressing part of town.
When Spencer cuts power to the engine and it goes quiet, it seems to be quiet all around except for the noises of distant, downtown Vale. "Here we are..." He looks around. "Keep y'weapons visible 'round here. Made the mistake o' not doin' tha' and en'ed up punchin' some sucker's lights out 'cause 'e tried t' do somethin' to me." The boy then puts the back of his hand under Delilah and pushes up to show it is locked in its holster tight. "An' keep an eye on 'em too. Some othe' fool tried sneakin' up fro' behind an' grabbin' a weapon o' mine a few years back. Y'shou' seen'e look on 'is face when he wa'n' to lucky with it." Spencer then puts his palm on the handle of Delilah and the holster unlocks to his touch. He quickly, but smoothly, pulls her out and points it back and to the right as a way of showing how the last story played out in the end. "Safe t' say he probably ain' tried nothin' like that since."

She got off the Motorcycle and looked to the building "Looks like it has been abandoned for years." she stated her observation with a hint of doubt; was this really the place?

"Yeah..." Spencer walks across the street to the largely empty space between the buildings. "Har'ly no signs o' struggle." He looks down at a damp piece of paper in a small puddle. "See, 'ow i's tore'li'l bit in 'he middle? Tha' paper's too wet to've gone nowhere bu' here an' the crime 'appened 'bout 16 'ours ago. There's also a trace'moun'a sediments an' marks on it. Loo'close." Spencer bends down toward the paper and starts to point at the different spots he speaks of. They are hardly even there but if looking closely, they can be seen. "Slight smears here an' here...Small lines where a piece o' rubber ends here, so 'hat makes righ'ere the heel o' the foot. Some o' the marks are li'l bi' clearer'an the others-y'see? Give a little to i' an' y'got the back o' the shoe." The boy points a little lower. "Side's right 'ere. Fro'the nature o' the other marks, my guess i' tha' the shoe ends up 'ere an', judgin' from these marks 'ere..." He points to one of the smear parts. This one on the center of the rip. "We got the upper middle o' the foot. Give it a few more inches fro' the start o' the smear an' y'go' the size o' the shoe, 'bou' a men's 'leven an' a half? Shoe bran's run differ'nt in size an' my guesstimate shoul' mean the shoe size is between 11 an' 12. The fact tha' the high'st pressure's put on the upper part o' the foot means 'e was walkin' forward." Spencer stands up straight and looks back at Jade. "Men tha' threa'en someone don' walk backward." He then looks back down at the paper. "Tha's our man. He made it." Spencer looks over at where the print faces and picks the spot on the wall. "Pushed up to tha' segment o' wall there. Tha's where the muggin' took place-I betchya."
The boy pulls out his scroll and takes a picture of the paper. Then he taps the screen and marks the different recorded areas he mentioned earlier.

"Trail goes too small for me to trace..." Spencer walks over to the wall and looks around and stops at a point behind Jade. "But...It seems I may not need to. Remember tha' buddy I mentioned earlier?" He lifts his arm and points over to a liquor store as someone, that looks like he has not had a shower in a week, walks out.
With a slight spring in his step, Spencer jogs toward the fellow with the greasy hair. "'ey-there, E-coli!"
In the distance, 'E-coli' looks up and then sets down the bag with a bottle of vodka he bought. "Aw-HECK naw-ma'! I KNEW you'd be 'roun' here-I jus' KNEW it! An' my name is Eli. E~LI~." The man seems to try and keep his distance from the approaching bounty hunter.
"Whateve' y'say, E-coli. See, I got this favor I nee' t'ask yeh. You know tha'-" Spencer starts to point over by the alley way but is interrupted by Eli.
"Naw-naw, ma', I ain' know nothin' 'bou' tha' muggin'!"
"Dude-I didn' know there was any muggin' there! Wow, you got the low-down, don'chya?" Spencer's smirk shines bright. "You woul'n't have anything on that mugging there, now would ya?"
"'ey-I tol' ya-I ain't know nothin'."
"Ah man, can we really not do this bull t'day?-"
"-'ey-'ey-I sai' I don' know nothin'!" Spencer clearly does not believe him.
"Look man, here..." Spencer pulls out a bit of lien.
"I don't feel like chasin' you 'round so I'll give you a...mmh...a ten second head start while I stretch an' get ready an' stuff.-I'll.." Spencer takes the bag with the bottle of drink in it and sets it closer to him. "-..keep this safe an', if I don' catch ya, you can keep tha' as compensation for y'liquo' here.-YOU..jus' worry 'bout doin' what I know you'll do 'vent'yally anyway.-Go on, now, I'll give ya tha' ten secon' head start. I feel generous t'day."
"W-what? Naw-man I ain' gon' do tha' man-you'll just get me, like y'always do and it ain't gon' feel too-"
"-Ten...nine..."
"A~~ww~~~DANG it!" Eli takes off down the sidewalk, holding his, totally cool-looking, sagging pants up to keep them from being even cooler-looking than they were before.
"...seven...six-tha' guy lets 'is eyes give 'im away every time...A'ight, Lets see what you can do. I assume, this is probably chi'd's play for yeh with tha' 'poof' thing y'do?"

She smiled mischievously "Should've given him thirty seconds." and she activated her Semblance, quickly catching up and going in front of him, stopping. As soon as Eli crashes into her, she'll grab him and use his momentum to pull him around and pin him to the ground, before saying "Eli is it? My friend would love your cooperation, so please, tell us what you know about the mugging, and we'll be on our way."

Ser'sly why does he make a game outta this?! The wannabe thug knows he is in for a tackling but does not expect it to be from Spencer's companion. When the girl practically teleports in front of him and throws him to the ground, it really startles him. "WHEAH~!" The man is swung around and put into the ground. "W-What the-?! Who the heck ARE you, lady?! Spencer calmly walks down the short distance the man was able to run with his tail-..or pants, in this case-between his legs. "Hot damn, E-coli, you di'n' las' more an' two seconds af'er that ten! You gettin' slower?"
"Mh..VERY FUNNY!"
"Now-E-coli, I got a knack for knowin' when people are lyin' an' you got a knack fo'suckin' at it. That don't make nothin' good fo'ya. So can we stop playin' this game ever' time I come visit ya? Do I have t' buffalo ya again?" Eli is noticeably effected by the threat. The first time the two men met, Eli had accumulated a small bounty when Spencer was still into smaller game. When Spencer encountered Eli, he immediately proceeded to slam the butt of Delilah into his jaw like a club and ended up nearly 'kronwalling' him with it. In exchange for ratting on the rest of his group that helped in the crime, that got him a target painted on his back, he was able to escape doing time. He now works as a completely harmless, wannabe-criminal and Spencer uses that as leverage to use the guy's street-smarts and street-cred. to get what most others cannot.  Inside help from a vigilant eye and a decoy when using Eli. Since he is known for being REALLY stupid, nobody suspects him of anything other than being a complete fool. However, they don't know it but this fool can be tapped into like an oil reserve and can be just as valuable as one sometimes.
"NAW-NAW-NAW-MAN!-"
"-Tell me, E-coli, d'y'know who ma'e the buffaloin'-style of pistol whippin' popular? I heard it's been 'round since flin'lock weaponry but it wasn' 'til revolve'-sty'e pistols came out tha' a lawman, by the name o' Wyatt-"
"-I SEEN I' G'DO'N MA'-I_SEEN_IT_GO_DOWN! I-i-it was one o' them blue-wearin' dudes!-"
"-Really?-" Spencer interrupts the man without any care in the world, and with his smirk on his face. He knows Eli is telling the truth now.
"-Yeah-yeah, ma'.-Was one'o'them..them-uh~..them Sapphire gang membe's!"
"What'e look like?"
"-Da'k-skinned dog faunus!"
"A'ight, man. Thanks." Spencer nods to Jade, takes his money back, and gives Eli back his booze. "Aye, this goes well an' I see y'later, I'll buy ya an ice cream'r somethin' for y' troubles!" Eli just looks back and shakes his head. Not wishing to see Spencer, even if it's for something good. Spencer just smirks. When it is just Jade and him, Spencer addresses the girl.
"...A'ight, common, le's go."

[Damn website and its occasional, stupid not-sending-postsness!!! ;-;]

The two begin to walk down the block the opposite direction that Mr. Eli Cole went and continue past the block with the abandoned boarding house. "'he Vale Sapphires...Man, wha's not t' like aboud'em? They own territory a coup'e blocks over an' have the entire horn o' turf in the Industrial dis'rict between Agriculture an' the end o' Residential tagged an' claimed." The two near a corner and make a turn there to follow the sidewalk. One kid, that looks to be a couple years older than Spencer and Jade, looks Jade up and down and grins a little as he stops his stare at a point when the two pass. "Formed outta mos'ly unfortunat' faunus in the area tha' look for someone to blame fo' thei' troubles, they've been rumored t'be gettin' weapon an' money care packages from 'em. Anythin' to cause trouble in our city, I s'ppose." Spencer starts to cross the street to the next block over.
"They a'so claim t'give back to the community when they really like any other gang, 'cept they' act'ally don' all have rus'y BB guns f'r weapons, like mos' gangs do now'days."
The pair reach the sidewalk and find a big, blue, sapphire gem tagged on the wall. As if to say "Sapphire turf. Hope you didn't make any withdrawals on your way over here."

Lightning had noticed the stare and rolled her eyes, continuing on. Seeing the tag, she said "I take it this is their turf?" it wasn't really a question, more of an observation.
