Before Memories [Closed]

Hira dived into a snow bank, burrowing deeply into it before hollowing out the middle.

Jacob watched confused
"What are you doing?"

A pair of golden eyes stare at Jacob from deep within the snow tunnel. "Um... digging?"

Jacob cocked his head to one side, before plonking himself down in the snow, observing her silently.

Hira quickly hollows out the entire snowdrift. "There!"

Jacob's ears flitted slightly as his stare remained vigilant.

The small dragoness stares pointedly at Jacob. "What?"

Jacob shrugged, unaware of the effect his unwavering glare was having on the girl.

Hira sneakily packs a snowball with her back turned towards Jacob before spinning and slinging it at him.

The compacted snow hit Jacobs face before exploding into powder. He looked dully at her as if he hadn't felt it. His tongue lolled from his mouth and began to lick some of the snow off of the lower portions of his face, like an inquisitive puppy.

With a loud groan of annoyance, Hira flops backwards in the snow. "You're no fun."

Jacob looked hurt
"I'm fun" he protested, moving onto his knees and folding his arms across his chest.

Hira sits up, huffing at him. "Prove it!"

Jacob hurled a snowball the size of his head towards Hira's chest.

A screech comes from Hira as she dives to avoid the giant ball of snow, still getting hit in the stomach with it.

Jacob grinned proudly
"See" he plonked back down in the snow and dusted off his hands.

Hira shakes all the snow off herself and tackles Jacob into another snow drift, quickly jumping off him and disappearing into the deep snow.

The wolf grinned and sniffed at the freezing air for a few moments before deciding on a target. with a playful growl he dived into the snow after her.

With an explosion of snow Hira jumped up, dashing through the main clearing of the village before diving into the snow banks at the other side.

"Jacob!" the boy surfaced shaking off the snow that had been caught in his shaggy grey hair. Jacob climbed free of the small snow burrow and bounded over the ice towards where his father and the rest of the trading pack were waiting. He turned back towards the dragon village, as if wishing the small dragon girl one final goodbye, before the wolves bid the dragons farewell and headed off, back towards their home on the ice fields.
