History: On the islands of the archipelago of Voudu there lives a tribal group of people. These people depended on the panthenon of gods they worship, called Loa, to help them live their lives such as strength to lift up timber, speed to make deliveries, to just grant luck on a interisland voyage. The Loas could only be reached through witch doctor's of the islands, with the main island of the archipelago's witch doctor was the closest to the Loa. Amani Samedi was the daughter and student of this witch doctor. Training in the ways of harnessing the Loa's power, she helped her mother with spiritual guidence of the islands' inhabitants. As such, Amani has been revealed of the island's true nature that the islands are truly suffering. People have come as far as the farthest island seeking help, claiming that the people grow sick across the islands due to an unusual sickness and the devilish Raaktu- which the mainlanders call Creatures of Grimm- terrorize the crops and the adventurers of the islands who go search for medicines for the people. Amani, sensing that she needed to help, prayed to her Loas for guidence in which she was told by the Loa of Wisdom, Gadafas, that she must leave the islands to help the islands. Confused by this, she attempted to pray over and over to find an answer, but to no avail. Gadafas was silent. During a weekly trade with the mainlanders, Amani heard of a school for people who hunt the Raaktu called Beacon Academy. Amani felt that she knew that is where Gadafas wanted her to go. She felt Gadafas wanted her to become a huntress to save the islands from the Raaktu and hopefully find a way to get medicines to send home from the large cities of Vale.
Personality: Amani is a calm person outside of battle. She tends to talk a lot about her spirituality and of her homeland not to annoy her friends but to constantly remind herself why she is at Beacon. Amani prays to her Loa when she is alone and invites her friends to join her if they wish. She can be mean to some people, but it is mostly in the way she words what she says that makes it sound mean. She cares for people and if she has to be harsh she will. In battle, she still prays to her loa but to give her strength and will power to fight. She can be fierce in battle, constantly attacking her opponent to not just improve her skills but her opponents as well as she always wishes the best for people. When fighting against Grimm, she is relentless. She will do what she can to make sure the Grimm falls to her or her team's blade.
Strength: Decent at close range combat. Unpredictable in nature when which Loa to use with her semblence until the facial pattern is shown on her face. Protective of her team mates and very aware of their actions in battle. Very faithful to her Loas and friends.
Weakness: Amani relies on her semblence then her own skills. Her overall care for her teammates' as well as the opponent's (if she is fighting people) health can cloud her judgement. When fighting Grimm she tends to have tunnel vision in wanting the Grimm dead. Her weapon has no long range abilities and lacks armor.
Semblance: Loas: What she thinks are Loas activating her semblence, Amani can increase one of 3 stats of hers for 5 minutes. After the 5 minutes is up, she wont be able to use that exact stat increase "Loa" for 10 minutes but will be able to use the other 2 "Loas". Each "Loa's" presence will show itself on Amani mostly in the facial regen to show the opponent which "Loa" is being used.

History: The Loa were worshipped and were given shrines in the village to go to. The Loa of the Wind was given fans, made from the birds of the islands. The Loa of Health was given medicinal herbs. But there was no item given to the feared Loa, Acongo- Loa of War until one night. A meteor struck down in the waters of the largest island. Scavengers went out and found a black rock, made from a diamond-like metal. Thinking it was a sign, the islanders worked for days to forge a weapon from this rock and thus the Claws of Acongo were made. Amani, years later, decided to go to Beacon were given these unique weapons by the Elders and her mother to take with her in hopes that Acongo will guide her in the way of the warrior.
