Symbol: Dirzant's Symbol is of a shadow eating a spider with a white background. The spider is green, and the shadow is black. The shape of the shadow is of a slender menacing figure carrying daggers.

Occupation: Student

Appearance: Dirzant has dark skin with a bluish tint. His eyes are red and he has shoulder length white hair. He has a medium muscular build and a scar on his left cheek. as well as scars all over the rest of his torso. He wears leather armor with a blood whine red shade. He has one pauldron and the fingers of his gloves are segmented. His boots are a bit warn. he has a black cape to go along with his outfit. He also wears a black blindfold with tiny holes punched into them.

History: Dirzant was raised in an underground civilization. The people who came from there where called darklings since they lived in a place shrouded in complete darkness. Darklings could see perfectly in total darkness but this came with a price however. While they have superior darkvision they are also blinded by bright light. Dirzant was no different. However since his parents where considered traitors they where taken and executed. This happened only moments after Dirzant was born and so he was taken away to their prison where he was subject to torture and training. They trained him to fight in the arena for their enjoyment and quickly became one of their best fighters. Dirzant however was determined to escape this pit and leave to the surface to one day get his revenge. One day he learned of his Semblence. He had the ability to hide in the darkness from even those with perfect darkvision. Which he did not hesitate to use in his escape. He also killed as many guards as he could in the process. Once he got to the surface though he looked for a way to bypass his weakness to the light. Which is where he got the blindfold. He caused much trouble on his way however and was soon caught. Instead of being thrown into another prison however he was offered a position in a school to utilize his skills for a more virtuous purpose. Realizing how rare an occasion this was he quickly took it and later was able to apply to beacon. To this day however he still retains his nasty personality. He is however a bit more virtuous and will help those in need occasionally.

Personality: Dirzant has a short temper and a nasty personality. He is almost always angry about something although he often keeps it to himself. When he does become angered however he often give out a cold hateful glare to the one he's angry at. He often responds to comments and questions alike with sarcasm and annoyed responses. His personality does not change in battle either. For he often fights with fury and ire. However in the darker area's where he can use his semblance he changes tactics from attacking head on to using stealth. He is not all bad however. He has just been dealt a bad hand and so sometimes he manages to be a bit more Sympathetic towards others.

Strength:  Dirzant can see in complete darkness, This is due to a condition called Synesthesia. A condition that combines two senses. In his case sight and sound. He has had combat training and is quick and agile as well as fierce on the battle field, The methods of torture used by the darklings has given him a resistance to poisons and the like and utilizes them in combat sometimes.

Weakness: Dirzant can only use his semblance in dim lit area's, He is also blinded by bright light that would otherwise be normal to anyone else. His blindfold although allows him to see without fear of the light still obscures his vision a bit and so he can only fight at full capacity in dark areas when he can take off his blindfold. After taking off his blindfold one must simply shine a flashlight in his eyes and he is blinded for one hour.

Semblance: Dirzant's semblance is the ability to become nearly undetectable in dark area's. This makes him invisible. While none have a chance at seeing him in this state they can still hear him and sense his aura.

WEAPON

Name: Zarlyn & Vastyrr ((Shadow spinner & Blood poison))

Primary Form: Its primary form is a pair of short swords. They are slightly curved and with a sharp tip they are ideal for backstabbing as well as slicing. They have joints on the blade for his bow with sharp edges added for good measure. Coated in dust they are formidable but they where mainly meant for carrying poison.

Secondary Form: Its secondary for is a bow. The blades come together and a bowstring from the tip of the blade to form it and fire poisoned arrows form afar. It was meant to be used in a stealth attack however. Dust was meant to go into the arrows to help them fly further and faster. ((Dirzant makes his own arrows))

Tertiary Form: N/A

History: These weapons where provided by the Arena battle master. Awarded to Dirzant for completing the first set of arena battles without dying. No one knows how long ago they where crafted but the weapon is not as advanced as the others in the arena and so is more of a symbol than a means for combat. In the right hands however it is a tool of deadly force and chaos. And as it turned out Dirzant was the one to wield them.

Anyway on to the actual profile:
Interesting history for your character, and compared to other characters it's not even that out there. The part that is a bit crazy is the darkvision. However the draw back seems to balance this out. The question I have though about it: Can he see while he has the blind fold on? It sounds like he can but how well if he can?

We typically require a character to have a combat related weakness to balance them as well so you seem to be missing that.

Also while I do like your semblance. It seems to be lacking in a balanced weakness. It does have a bit of a weakness, but it isn't fair. I feel that should be fixed and made more fair.

The weapon seems fine by me though.

K I edited it. Hows this? His aura doesn't dampen his footsteps and his blindfold impairs his vision. Also being exposed to light without his blindfold blinds him for an hour.

I'm fine with all but two things in here. For starters, based on how vision works, sight in perfect darkness, an area with absolutely NO light, is impossible. I'll allow near perfect darkness however.

Second, and I apologize if I may fly off the handle, this is a pet peeve of mine. Your weapon doesn't work. A lot of people don't seem to get this too, bows get their power though the arms bending and snapping back into place, taking the sting along with it. Swords are meant to be solid and no bent, especially at the spine, so putting two of them together won't work to make a bow.

Of course the swords are solid. But they have joints where they snap back. This would interfere with the slashing normally but is remedied with sharp edges on these joints restoring their slashing aspect. Pretty much the handles come together and the bowstring comes out the tip of the blade. and in halfway down the blades are the joints. The blades are meant more for finesse rather than power.


The reason for Dirzant's darkvision is that he has Synesthesia. A condition where a person has joined perception. In this case Dirzant's Synesthesia perceives sight and sound. This allows him to see sounds. Synesthesia is a real condition by the way.
